(After lunch, before Advanced Physics)

Lunch had ended about 5 minutes ago, but we were still seated in the cafeteria. Katsumi and Betty had left a while ago because, apparently, they had to get their books and rush to their next class so they could get good seats. Honestly, I wanted to leave and have a chat with Ronen, but he seemed immersed in whatever he was sketching. After laughing his heart out, he went straight back to what he was doing and barely acknowledged the fact that Taylor appointed him to take me to my next class, so I wasn't even sure he heard.

"Maisie, let's go", I glanced at Ronen. I didn't realise he had packed up his stuff, but now that he was read,y I was eager to follow him, so I rushed towards him as he walked away and said a quick bye to the table as they were all immersed in their own little activities.

We walked out of the cafeteria doors and walked down the halls in silence. Teachers and a few students passed us, all seeming to be in their own little bubbles. I was eager to ask Ronen some questions, but I didn't want to come on too strong. I was 6'1, but he was taller than me, I'd say about 6'3 maybe, and he walked with such grace and silence I didn't want to disturb him, but damn, I was curious.

"Maisie, it's considered rude to stare at someone for so long. If you've got something to say, speak up" I looked at him and decided to speak my mind, but he interrupted me. "How are you liking your first day at Prinadon High school? You just came, and so much has happened. I'm sure it's all very exciting for you, huh"

I laughed a bit, not expecting his question, but replied anyway, "Yh, it's been quite a day, but honestly, I feel like it's worth it. My first day and I see a literal goddess and sat in her presence, not everyone has such a great first-day experience, and speaking of Riona, I've been meaning to ask

"Maisie, let me stop you right there" I looked at him in confusion. He had interrupted me once again, and I noticed he looked slightly ticked off. I looked down at his hands and saw he was gripping his pencil as though he was about to break it, and to say I was confused at his sudden reaction would be an understatement.

"I don't like you, I'm not quite sure why I don't yet because everyone seems to be warming up to you but I do not like you, Riona is not to be played with, I don't know if this is some game to you and what your fascination with her is but she is not to be toyed with, she may or may not entertain your bullshit ad find you equally as attractive but those are all physical reactions, if you get close to her and make her feel like shit only to leave her I would not hesitate to fuck you up. Do you understand me?

I was taken aback by his sudden outburst and simply nodded. He looked at me then pointed to the door behind me and said " This is the class AP Physics" I didn't even notice we had stopped walking or that he was facing me at the moment but he didn't give me any time to process it as he opened the class door and walked inside, leaving me outside and wondering what the hell just occurred but I decided to walk in and take a seat instead of just looking stupid and staring at a door. 

I was seething on the inside, what gave him the right to talk to me that way whilst jumping to conclusions that I was a bad individual, I gave him no reason to think so, maybe he had a crush on her and was being possesive but I couldn't really confront him because even if I did what would I say, so I decided to channel all my aggression towards something productive just like Nana Ailsa always told me and I chose to attempt to find Riona online.

 I didn't know her last name so I decided to get out my phone and simply search Riona/Prinadon high and see if anything popped up and luckily for me a bunch of shit popped up but I opened the first link I saw and it was for the Prinadon women's track and field team and she was the top banner, fully decked out with 3 Gold medals on her neck and smiling on a podium, her hair was in blonde braids and she looked absolutely radiant, she seemed to be the star of the team, apparently her full name was Riona Mary Black, her birthday was April 29th, she's 16 and is 5'5, I clicked on her name and she had an about me section so I took a screenshot so I could analyze it later but as I scrolled I noticed there was a gallery option at the bottom of the page and clicked on it, pictures and videos of her running, training and simply living her life graced my eyes but a particular picture caught my eye, it was her but she was being lifted by some girl who was obviously shorter than her but she seemed to be looking down at her with so much love I felt jealous that she could give her that look but she looked at me with disgust but before I could ponder on who the mysterious girl carrying her was I heard the door of the class open and in came said mystery girl with 4 other people trailing behind her, in complete shock at the irony I looked down at the caption of the picture and saw her name was Ashton Wellington.

After that Ashton character had arrived, the teacher walked in along with some students, and soon enough, the entire class was full, all the seats were occupied apart from the one beside me by the window, but I noticed people had been glancing from me to the seat, then the door, as if expecting someone or something to happen. Still, nothing did; Taylor was taking the class as well. Hence, I thought he would sit by me but instead, he was seated beside a small hispanic looking boy who had animated features and the curliest mop of hair, the two of them waved at me before sitting down, and thus the lesson began with the teacher introducing himself, it turned out he had actually assigned seats and I just so happened to have found mine by instinct. He assured me I had a seat partner, she was just yet to come, but 10 minutes into the lesson and my seat partner had still not shown up, but then the door banged open once again.

"Ahhh, Ms.Black, you've finally graced us with your presence." I looked up at the mention of Riona's surname and saw her dangling off that Christian guy's shoulder and struggling to get off, the whole class stared at the scene as she desperately tried to escape but to no avail, the guy had her in a steel hold.  

"Thank you Mr.Andrew for bringing her to class you're a real model student and you seem to keep her grounded, but it seems as though your good habits refuse to rub off on and it doesn't help that you encourage her now does it ? Still, a job well done indeed. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mind placing her on the seat beside the new student, that'll be great, and here's a hall pass so your teacher doesn't get too upset with you for arriving to their class"

I watched as he carried her to her allocated seat, wishing she could be close to me but as he got closer to me, it suddenly clicked. SHE WAS MY SEAT PARTNER, FUCK YES. I was basically itching with excitement at the thought of her right next to me for hopefully the whole semester. This was so exciting. The next thing I knew, she was plopped down on the chair beside me, and she started sulking almost immediately and then began scooting away from me, although there wasn't much room between the wall and me nevertheless Christian said goodbye to her after opening her books and pushing her in then left the class, leaving her alone to the stares of our classmates.

I tried not to blatantly stare right at her, but her scent literally invaded my space. I didn't know it was possible, but it had gotten stronger since earlier; it felt like she was trying to envelop my whole body and dull my senses with her smell. I physically could not think of anything else apart from the gorgeous girl trying to escape our close proximity, and being this close to her made me realize she probably layered her perfume or perfume oils because it was so and although the smell of cigs was evident, I could still smell a sweet vanilla and other things I couldn't pinpoint. 

During my silent turmoil, the teacher had continued our lesson and was writing questions on the board for us to solve as a way to test our current knowledge on the topic we were currently learning, but I did not realize until I heard him shout Riona's name. Startled, I looked up to face the board, and so he had written a question separate from the rest and was staring at my deskmate with impatience while the rest of the class stared between waiting for something to happen.

"Ms.Black, I called your name multiple times to come up to the board and solve this question. Is staring out the window more important than my lesson ?" I snapped my head to my left to see that Riona was just staring out the window as our teacher spoke, and she seemed to be completely ignoring him, as well as the whole class, as if she were in her own world. I was about to try and grab her attention, but before I could speak our teacher spoke again. "Ms.Black, I'm sure your coach would be disappointed to hear that you would have to skip the track meet today due to your behaviour" The whole class seemed to suck in a breath as Riona shot out of her chair in frustration, then walked up to the board and snatched the marker out of the teacher's hands and began solving the question. I couldn't pay attention to that, though, because as she was walking to the front, she gripped my shoulder to steady herself before walking past the back of my chair, and all I could think of was the tingling sensation I felt where she touched and how cold her hands were when they made contact with my shoulder, and her scent intesified as though she was gripping unto my face. Fuck! I'm losing my mind cause why the fuck did I get a boner from that.
