After arriving at the Land of Haro, Paul Gekko's group were greeted by a young Princess Zelda who gave them a tour about Hyrule's history and the Cosmic Civil War. Impa states that they would not find any heroes within the walls of Hyrule Castle. However, Zelda spots a young man showing incredible prowess and talent with the crew of pirates searching for Paul Gekko. The two stare at each other for a moment. "Princess Zelda, What legend does something have to do with the Triforce?" said Adam. "I'll tell you." said Impa. "Chōnan Rangetsu is the founder of the Kingdom of Hyrule. He leads the clan of men to finding the desert full of women. Chōnan called the desert women, the Gerudo; however, every hundred years, a man who is destined to be their king is born. San'nan Rangetsu San'nan created the Goron City with the simple calculating facts of the ancient technology found within the Scavenger while Ōsato Rangetsu was crowned King of the Zora by Lord Jabu Jabu when he found the massive lake full of Zora species. Ōsato dubbed the Zora Dobon Family. When the Shiro Dobon fell in love with Ōsato Rangetsu, this resulted his transformation into a Zora. Daishi Rangetsu lead an assault against the invaders and killed or drove out many of their forces. A group of their children were left behind however, and Daishi took pity on them and spared their lives and thus transforming into the Great Deku Tree." Paul Gekko replied "Knowing knowledge of the Triforce, I am born from one of the protector's wife and with my birth, I had friends."
Impa believes in Paul Gekko's story, stating that Paul Gekko needs to find the child of the legendary hero in Kokiri Forest. One Night, While Paul Gekko's group were lost in the Lost Woods, they saw a green fairy guiding them to Kokiri Forest where Daishi the Great Deku Tree was watching them. At the Kokiri forest, a young link has recently been plagued by nightmares of a girl fleeing from an evil man clad in black. Saria teaches "Saria's Song" to Link as a symbol of friendship when he visits her in the Sacred Forest Meadow. One night, Daishi was attacked by Gohma. The monster then begins to feed on the forest guardian, commenting on the Daishi Rangetsu's inability to move. As he is nearing death, Daishi sends Navi the fairy to summon the boy and Paul Gekko's group. Navi brings Link with Mido following as well. Mido comments that the Great Deku tree feels cold, worried that he is dead. The other Kokiri soon arrive to see what the problem is. Gohma then reveals itself and enters the Great Deku Tree with Link, Navi and Mido following after it. Paul Gekko watched as the trio defeated Gohma, but soon learn that the Daishi is unable to be saved.
Daishi explains that as Gohma was devouring him, he read the monster's thoughts. Paul Gekko and Link learned that Ganondorf, the Gerudo king of thieves was planning to conquer Hyrule with the help of the Galactic Eggman Empire. He then tells Adam Atlantis that he believes in Link and asked Paul Gekko to make a Shield from his remains and asks Navi to accompany Link on his journey. He bids farewell to the Kokiri as the children grieve the loss of their guardian.
After traveling across Hyrule Field and passing through Castle Town, Link does not take long to realize that speaking to the princess of Hyrule will not be a simple matter; many guards stand watch, alert and ready to catch any trespassers. Paul Gekko and co. helped Link infiltrate the castle, bypassing the front gate and evading all of the guards. When he reaches the castle itself, the raised drawbridge seems like an insurmountable obstacle. However, Link discovers an unguarded water drain by the castle moat and manages to crawl through the hole, emerging within the castle garden. Many more guards are on patrol here, but Link is able to dodge all of them and sneak into the Castle Courtyard. In this Courtyard, his fate converges with that of the young Princess of Hyrule.
Paul Gekko and his friends were watching from the shadows as Princess Zelda tells Link of her prophetic dreams, She also warns him about Ganondorf, the man clad in black whom Zelda believes is symbolized by the dark clouds of her dreams, and his evil intention to steal the Triforce of legend from the Sacred Realm. With the power of the goddesses, his desire to subjugate the world would be realized. In order to do this, Ganondorf would require not only the three Spiritual Stones of Hyrule, but also the mystical Ocarina of Time. Zelda insists that Paul Gekko track down the other two Spiritual Stones, so that they might beat Ganondorf to the Triforce and put an end to his plot.
