My wedding day drags on… My husband seems more upset about this than me, he hasn't even acknowledged my existence yet. Maybe he was forced into this as well? I bet if the court jester were here, he'd make my situation into one of his silly little rhymes… something like "The bride is quite well dressed, but also quite depressed! Maybe she wouldn't be so sad, if she didn't have a tyrant for a dad!" Or actually… one of his rhymes wouldn't be so melancholic. All throughout the wedding he kept his face concealed. Why was he wearing a face covering on a day like this? By the time we had to say our vows, I was fully prepared to disappoint my father and not commit to this relationship. But my plans were foiled. Right before I was about to pledge my vow, an all too familiar face, the court jester, lifts his mask and smiles at me. Simultaneously, I was confused, shocked, but mostly, excited by this unforeseen turn of events! I enthusiastically pledge my vow, and I once again have hope for the future.
