It was quite surprising how the heavy rain stopped just moments before our train arrived at the platform.
"Guys, cheers to our good luck!" cheered Alo, as we deboarded the train. Most of the the familiar students around us glanced at her, as they passed by us towards college.
"There goes Alo, setting the stage for her grand debut," whispered Abhoy,
"Ha ha ha.." Both me and Rup burst out smiling on his comment.
"Debut my foot!" exclaimed Alo, jestily glaring at Abhoy for once.
"Okay, okay calm down my queen, let's proceed," he exclaimed, wrapping his hand around her shoulder and pulling her. Without delay, the four of us set off on foot towards the station's exit.
"Whoa...! The weather here is absolutely amazing!" Rup exclaimed, his eyes widening as he gazed up at the sky. "This graphics feel so soothing to my eyes you know, RDR 2 was eating up all my worldly connections at home..!"
Both me and Abhoy exchanged glances, faced with his unexpected comment. It was so weird to see Rup complaining about games..!
"Well, Right you are," I affirmed, savoring the refreshing waves of the moisture filled cool air, post rain.
The platform was significantly emptier than I had expected it to be, and that added in itself added to the exceptional ambience of the surroundings!
The scenery was just amazing.
Small puddles had formed across the platform, mirroring the vibrant ambiance around us. The occasional rays of sunlight breaking through the clouds had painted an exquisitely beautiful landscape in front of our eyes. The nostalgic smell of metal along with the low metallic vibrations filled the whole atmosphere with that atmospheric ambiance I had been yearning for the previous months.
Mesmerized by the surreal ambience, I playfully inquired, "Wouldn't it be a shame not to have a hot cup of tea to celebrate this moment?"
Everyone halted in their tracks and turned back to face me, "Wait wait wait, have you turned into some kind of monster during these previous months, my friend!?" Rup interrogated, keeping his hand on my shoulder.
"Milk tea after breakfast...!?" exclaimed Abhoy, totally weirded out at my unexpected comment, "You got to be kidding, right?"
Wearing a flickering smile on her face, Alo added, "There he goes again, with his 'unique' tea obsession,"
"He heh," I smiled in awe, as their reactions played out all in sync with my expectations, "You guys-" but then before I could say something convincing...
"Well, I think it's a harmless idea..."
... a totally unexpected female voice, cut right through my speech, instantly paralyzing my subconscious.
All of a sudden, my heart began began to race within my chest and an intense warmth surged through my body, abruptly pulling me out of the tranquil atmosphere I had been immersed in.
My ears grew warm and started to pulse with anticipation as I realized the owner of that voice.
It was a voice I had expected to hear gradually after reaching college or entering my class, but somehow, amidst the excitement of our reunion, it had totally slipped my mind that anything was not set in stone. Life was not just some algorithm for events to happen exactly according to my prethought scenarios.
As I turned back slowly to face the owner of that voice, Rup smirked secretly at my surprised expression.
As of late I submerge into this really good feeling whenever I sit with my laptop to work on this novel ❤️🔥
