Somedays Irisa just lurked around town, looking for any hint of the ship she'd escaped from years ago. She looked from her waking at dawn, until the moon was high in the sky. She didn't know if she'd find who she was looking for, but if she found the ship she'd most-likely find the crew that took them from her. Of course, one day of the month, she just put on a dress and tried to look normal on her one day off in a month. But the rest of the time she worked with Koren, gathering info and poisoning people if she needed to. She didn't like doing it, but she was good at it and it gave amazing pay, she also gained a few friends from it.
Even now as she roominated on this, she was tailing a Melkree official, the one that'd seen Daven under Koren's order as she followed him silently. It was daylight which meant she wore light coloured clothes so she fit in with the merchant crowd. The man stopped at a few stalls, buying bread, flowers, and a children's toy? Irisa halted her breath a moment, did he have a child? Both herself and Koren hated when she humanized people she followed, because if she ended up assigned to kill them, it would be a crushing weight on her nimble body. Regardless of her feelings she continued to follow him silently as he went about his day.
By evening, Irisa had followed the man to his home, she quickly searched it's perimeter and outside, and found a little girl, she was playing in the dirt as the man passed through the back door. Irisa saw him smile, "Ei, kata!" he called, little pup in Aleiric, the girl spun around and ran over, "Poppa, Poppa!" she shouted as he rose her into his arms. Irisa felt her chest compress, not only had he had a child, but this child was his grandchild. Irisa jumped back outside of the fence and made her way back to the Puzzled Raven club to report back.
She slipped in the back door as a young girl slipped out, and walked in the hallway, knocking once on Koren's door. She waited as Koren walked over to open it. "Ms. Physde, come in," he noted as he stepped back to let her in. She did so, silently crossing the transfer between hardwood and the rug that lined most of the office, paying a look to the stuffed raven on the left side of the room as she sat silently across the desk. Koren soon followed, cane a bit untimely, and unsettling to those who don't know him.
"So, the man you followed, something about him bothered you so much you came back early. What?" Koren questioned as he sat on the other side of the desk. Irisa shifted, "He has a family, he has a granddaughter who likes to play in the dirt, he calls her kata, little pup," Koren looked unaffected as he gripped his left wrist, "Anything else?" he questioned. Irisa stood, ready to plead for his life, Koren noted this and gestured for her to sit back down, "He's not important enough to die, so if that's it, you may go," he explained setting his hand back over his wrist. Irisa lowered her head, "Alright," she answered, and left the room as silently as she entered.
Closing the door behind herself she walked to the quiet floor of the casino, the furniture moved to the side and the carpet being cleaned in the centre, and of course noted Seimast and a woman in a similar dress. Irisa walked over to them, "What happened?" she asked, startling Seimast, the girl shrugged, "Guy got drunk and pissed, hit a card dealer and got shot," she explained, the woman had a louder tone than Irisa as well as a louder personality; the girl was the closest to Irisa. "Luera," she nicknamed, Irisa hoisted herself across the bar to be on the same side, Lueresta pushed, "My shift, my bar, oust!" she shouted in a friendly manner. Irisa didn't move whe she shoved her, "No, you still haven't learned my drink of choice," she smiled gently pushing her friend's shoulder.
Seimast leaned his elbows on the bar, and found them whipped with a bar rag from Lueresta, "No elbows," she ordered, Irisa smiled as she ducked behind the counter, rummaging for ingredients. She grabbed three glasses, one different from the two others, an orange from a village inland and two sprigs of rosemary fresh from the seaside market. She rose from below the counter, set her things down and reached for a few different liquors, Eider rum, merchant cream from the icebox, and an Aleir whisky.
In the odd glass she poured the whisky straight and handed it to Lueresta, the intense woman liked an intense taste and burn. Irisa grabbed a knife from her thigh and carved the peel from one half of the orange in strips before zesting the other half, "Take the zest and pummel it," she stated pushing it over to the woman at her side. Lueresta nodded and grabbed a mortar & pestle from one side of the bar and started to do so. Grabbing two wooden stirs Irisa pulled the peels onto both, before turning and rummaging in the icebox, grabbing two large cubes and setting them in the glasses. Irisa walked over and grabbed the mortar bowl and handed the bottle of cream to her instead, "Beat until frothy, and then add the zest," she ordered before moving back and setting the glasses in the icebox to frost them.
"So, mouse, Anything else happen?" Irisa asked, Seimast thought, then smiled, "Daven has written permission to call Mr Kazimir, Kory for two weeks," he laughed. Irisa hummed, a bit surprised; Lueresta shoved over the bowl, "That right?" she asked roughly, Irisa nodded, "Add the zest and stir just a bit more," she instructed.
