The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of the situation hanging in the air like an unspoken secret. Eli's eyes darted between Jacob, Elliot, and the umbrella in his brother's hands, confusion etched across his face.

"Elliot: Uh, hi?"

"Eli: Uh, what happened???"

"Elliot: Umm, I'm honestly not sure..."

"Eli: What?? How are you not sure??"

"Elliot: Well, I found him in an alleyway like this."

"Eli: So what are we going to do?"

Both Elliot and Eli looked at Jacob

Jacob appeared to have passed out

"Eli: Did he pass out?"

"Elliot: Yeah, I think so."

"Eli: Are you sure he's not dead already?"

"Elliot: Might be."

"Eli: What?!"

"Elliot: Just joking."

"Eli: God, don't joke like that, you scared me half to death."

"Elliot: Haha, fine. You should get the Medkit, and I'll put him on the couch."

25 minutes later

"Elliot: Whew, I didn't think it would take that long."

"Eli: Yeah, neither did I."

Jacob started to wake up

"Eli: So what are we going to do with him?"

"Elliot: Hm, I don't know, we can't just leave him at the side of the road. I think he should stay here until he's at least healed."

"Eli: Yeah, but—"

"Elliot: Eli!"

Eli felt Elliot's murderous intent

"Eli: Okay, okay! He can stay..."

Jacob groaned, clutching his head as he regained consciousness. His eyes flickered open, scanning the unfamiliar surroundings.

"Jacob: Ugh, my head hurts."

"Jacob: Huh? Where am I?"

Jacob sat up and looked around

"Jacob: Hm, what happened when I was out? Huh, my wounds... they've been bandaged?"

"Jacob: Just what exactly happened??"

Jacob stood up, wandering into the kitchen

"Jacob: Hm..."

He picked up an umbrella lying by the wall

Elliot and Eli looked up

All three of them screamed

"Elliot: Wha??"

"Eli:???"

"Jacob: ..."

"Elliot: Jacob? You're finally awake? That's good."

"Jacob: Uhm..."

"Eli: You can put the umbrella down now."

"Jacob: ..fine."

"Jacob: Um, is something wrong with my sight or is there two of you?"

"Elliot: Nope, nothing's wrong with your sight. Well, probably. But there are two of us, haha. Well, technically we aren't the same, but we are twins."

"Jacob: Okay, good. I thought I hit my head too hard."

"Elliot: You hit your head?"

"Jacob: I think so."

Elliot glanced at his phone

8:50 AM

"Elliot: Ah, we're gonna be late!"

"Eli: Huh? Ah! You're right! We need to leave for school or we'll be late!"

"Elliot: Uh, Jacob, we'll need that umbrella."

"Jacob: Huh? Oh, um, here."

Jacob handed the umbrella to Elliot

"Elliot: Thank you~! Also, where are you going after we leave? Are you staying here?"

"Jacob: Uh no, I was going to leave after you two left, but I don't know which one is Elliot."

"Elliot: I'm Elliot, and he is Eli."

"Eli: Uh, yeah, whatever. Elliot, we really need to leave; it's 8:55!"

"Elliot: Ah! You're right! We need to leave now. Hope to see you again, Jacob. Bye!"

"Jacob: Uh, bye?"
