A downtrodden, want-to-be physician named Graham Tabiner goes to the city of Shadowbrook for employment after leaving his old life behind.
When he meets Virgil Von Claudio, a noble lord of Shadowbrook and renowned physician in need of an assistant, it seems as though the stars have finally aligned his his favor… until he learns a terrible secret in the dead of night:
Lord Von Claudio is a necromancer, capable of bringing the dead back to life.
Yet, as Graham grows closer to the mysterious lord and his dark world, he can’t help but wonder: can something born from evil be used for good? Can one ever truly escape the shadows of their past? And would Graham really turn his back on life itself for the love of one man?
