Meredy looked around her nervously. “U-uh Lil? Are you sure we're in the right place?” She whimpered.

“Hm? Oh yeah I'm sure we are! My nose has never failed on me before! I'm part beagle.” Lilac boasted.

“Suuree…” Meredy sighed. The trail that they were on was made of dirt and the rest of the scenery was just thick with plants, almost could be mistaken as a rainforest. The city that they left could be miles away and Meredy’s paw pads felt like they were going to crack and bleed.

“Uuhh…” The canine thought. “I don't really know, about a day?” She guessed. “What's Lace saying?” Lilac asked Meredy.

Meredy thought for a bit “He's been quiet lately but I think he said it's about 200-something miles? I don't really know, Sparta's not good at taking notes.”

Lilac rolled her eyes and groaned “Of course they aren't. That cat can't even spell their own name for ██████████ sake. Sparta's that type of cat that knocks your expensive ass cup filled with wine onto your precious laptop. Sorry Meredy.”

A bird could be heard falling out of a tree, sounding more like a crow. “Okay is it me or that he's watching us right now?” Meredy yelped.

“You know he's always watching, he's like a god or something.” Lilac said. “Anyways the place we're going can't really be called a city, it's really more like a big town. And it's safe really, darling and I go there all the time. Don't we?” Lilac winked.

Meredy's face went red “I said not to call me that in front of others!” She growled, which still had fondness behind it. “B-but yeah, it's actually not that far away I guess…”

“Lilac I don't have a calculator, what's 30 years in cat?” Meredy chirped.

Meredy gasped “Holy moly you're ancient.” She shook her head.

They continued walking, going up a small hill. Lilac looked behind her and barked “Hey wait! I thought the forest was just….” The said forest now looked miles behind them, now only leaving a desert ahead. A few tumbleweeds were rolling around, the dirt road lead to a strange looking ████████████████████████████████████████

Lilac shrugged “Alright I guess ██████████ wants us to go there.” She sighed, shaking the dust off of her.
