Meredy whispered something to Lilac, in which in turn the canine only shook her head. They continued on walking, but suddenly the ground started violently shaking.

The ground around them started to rip itself apart, starting with small cracks and tearing themselves apart into bigger ones. Sand fell into the “Earth's” gashes. The cracks looked like they were gigantic snake-like eyes made out of a toddler’s scribbles. The gas station in the distance started to get farther and farther away due to the event.

Tiny little arms were spawning out of them. Forming themselves to be a creature made out of a pure black substance similar to ink. The gigantic creature reached the height of 50 feet into the air.

The giant looked directly at, then spoke in a foreign language that could not be pronounced by human tongue. It seemed to ask as to why he was here, as he was not granted permission to access this world.

The monster glitched into multicolored pixels before settling down again. It repeated its message, all in English. “Under the law of the Neverending Desert and under the control of ██████████ I am hereby here to ask you- “ It was interrupted by a bird, that which looked like it had a ████████████████████ The crow cawed something at the creature. The creature nodded in understanding.

“Plans have been changed, you are permitted access to continue existing in this realm. I am denied to erase you. However, ██████████ did not deny attacks.” It said in its monotone voice.

The billions of tiny arms on the creature turned into spear-like objects, before anyone could react, they all started to shoot at the group.

“Apologies, I cannot take orders from anyone that’s not ██████████ The creature said between the waves of attacks.

Lilac popped her head out, squinting and hoped that her long eyelashes will prevent most of the sand and won’t blind her. She glanced around, before barking “There! The eyes in the sky!” Lilac pointed out. “I think those might be a weak spot or something, hold on!” She quickly summoned her card and a vine covered in thorns rapidly grew out of the ground and shot itself at one of the eyes at lightning fast speed before wilting away.

The creature roared in pain and shot more spears towards them, knocking Lilac back and caused a whimper from her.

Lilac got back up and shook the sand out of her fur “YEAH I GOT ‘EM, JUST GO FIND COVER!” she yipped. “HEY MEREDY, CAN YOU FIND ANYMORE?”

Meredy nodded “OVER THERE, BY THE CRACK!” the feline yowled. Lilac shot another vine at it, taking it out. They went back and forth like this for a while until the crow flew by again and started to loudly squawk at the giant.

The creature stopped all attacks, it was in complete disarray and glitching really badly. “Understood,” it responded. “Mission failed, now retreating.” It melted into a thick puddle and seeped into the sand, leaving no traces at all besides the giant crack across the desert.

Lilac panted “Yeah..yeah I could just let me..” she flopped onto the ground, clearly worn out.

Meredy loafed on top of Lilac, saying nothing.

Lilac quickly grew a large leaf, shading them. “So uh..” Lilac huffed “Want me to explain what that was or what?”

“Alright.” Lilac sat up, accidentally knocking Meredy off who just responded by rolling over, “So that thing that you saw, that was a Guardian. There’s pretty much only one in each region you come across. The one in the city has already been killed over a year ago and this one is pretty much a wimp who mostly runs away. I really don’t know why it decided to act like this now.”

“You’re just going to leave it like that? I’m pretty sure the...well whatever is...is going to be left with a lot of questions! From all ██████████reactions, I’m not even sure ██████████ thinks it’s real!” Meredy whispered to her.

The canine rolled her eyes “Oh of course, well I can’t really explain that to ██████████I’m a talking dog for God’s sake!” she breathed.
