The layout of The Rue Family Compound

Kai heads back to his room and starts to think about the views and opinions of his siblings versus that of his father and of the Families. Kai with a distasteful look on his face enters his room. Quietly and to himself Kai says..."I am...will not be like father."

Door closes...

Tae in his room starts to think about his father and the Families more deeply. "Why does...what we think, not matter to him? We are his children. Is it weird to take our side? Is it bad to be different than what is considered normal in The Nation of Fia?" questioned Tae. Tae heads up to check on his sisters after cooling down.

Sounds of footsteps...

Step...step...creek...

Xio stops packing and quickly covers up the bags. Something falls out and quietly lands on the floor under the bed without Xio noticing.

Sound of knocking...

"Xio...are you there?" quietly asked Tae. But there was no response.

Step...step...creek...

As Tae walks up and is getting ready to knock on Jini's door...

Grab...pulls in...door closes...

The door opens...Xio takes a peek outside to make sure no one was there. "Xio-" tried speaking Tae, but was hushed by Xio. "What is going on, sis?" said Tae in a worried and quiet tone. "Sorry for scaring you, Tae. Please...promise me that you won't tell father or mother," said Xio in a scared tone. "Of course sis, uh actually I came to check on you and Jini. I came to let you know no matter what the Family thinks, I will always care about you...the both of you." said Tae to reassure Xio that she was loved and cared for by him no matter what. Xio tells Tae to take a seat and starts to explain and sums up everything that happened and how she and Jini felt. Tae quickly gets up and gives his sister a big and long hug. "I am sorry Xio, that father...that the Family can't understand the way you feel and are trying to change who you are." Tae tearfully said. "You don't have to worry about us anymore, aunty will take care of us and has room for us to stay in. We are leaving to be free and to be happy," said Xio in a peaceful tone.

(Back to the 6th division with Toni and Jini)

Jini heads back in to make sure Toni was okay. As Jini opens Toni's bedroom door she asks"Toni are you ready to go... do you have everything with you?" said Jini.

...Silence...

"It's okay Toni...you can come with me. Your father along with your mother headed to the 9th division to play card games with the other heads of divisions" said Jini. "What about sir and madam?" asked Toni with a concerned yet respectful tone. "You don't have to worry about them. They are in the greenhouse. Father always checks on the flowers and plants during this time. And mother heads with him to keep him company." reassuringly said Jini. "I am sorry Jini for worrying you. I am... just scared...of what the Family might do. But I do want to leave. My- our freedom is more important than fear... fear of what could happen." said, Toni.

Toni and Jini head back to the 1st division to meet up with Xio. They take a while to get there. They are being careful not to alert the others nearby and not alert the dogs. Thankfully, Jini cared for them when they were young and gives them treats to stay quiet. So they are obedient to her. The dogs roam the compound since they are highly trained and are allowed to be by themselves. Jini and Toni head to the 1st division to meet up with Xio.

"Xio..." said Jini. "Hurry and come in," said Xio. Tae rushes up to Jini and hugs her. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone about this. But just know someone in this family will miss you. That someone here loves and cares about you. The both of you." said Tae. "Thank you Tae that means more than you will ever know." tearfully said Jini. "So...Toni are you going to come with? Are you sure about this?" asked Xio. "...Yes if it's fine with your uncle...I mean you, aunty," said Toni. Don't worry I let her know before mentioning it to Jini because I knew how much she cares for you and wouldn't leave without you or at least without telling and asking you to come along." said Xio. "Hey! There is no need to be...telling her that. It is embarrassing sis." shyly said Jini. Tae smiled. "Both of you seem happy. That's great I- am going to really miss you. The both of you but I hope you can always be happy and yourselves more freely." tearfully said Tae. Xio pats Tae on the head and says "Thank you, we will always love you. Sorry for leaving you but father... cares more about you and Kai. He is less likely to control you both since you were born male."

"Is everything ready?" asked Jini. "Yes, aunty's wife is going to meet up with us and take us to aunty's home," replied Xio. "Tae, take care of yourself and remember even if we can't be here for you. You have two big sisters that love you," said Jini with a smile on her face. "Young master-" tried saying, Toni. "Stop! Toni you don't have to call me that...anymore. I have known about your relationship with sis. You are my family you can call me Tae or little bro if you like." said Tae. "Sure...sorry about that but please take care of yourself," said Toni. Xio and Jini say their final goodbyes and head out. Tae tries to hold in his tears. He hears his father's voice saying "Men nor boys cry in this family. Is that understood?" but he also hears his mother telling him "It is okay to cry when you are by yourself but remember don't let others see you shed tears."

(Myla and Ki...)

In the greenhouse, there is a variety of sections that house specific plant and flower species. Once you head in you get hit softly with different aromas of each section. The greenhouse is very big and long it's like a home covered with frosted glass and poles holding the roof up. Myla has her own section where she grows roses. Myla heads to her section to check on the soil of her roses. Ki heads to check on the temperatures of each section to make sure they are set right and make sure the moisture on his special sections is set to night levels. They both get lost in caring for them. You could notice a change in Ki's mood and the vibe he was given out.

Quietly Ki said to his plants "You are...good children that are under my watch and care. Look at how you flourished! Continue to rely on me. I will pick out the dead parts, you have. And leave the other ones jealous of your beauty."

"Dear, are you alright? About what Xio and Jini said. They are still young and are learning from us but-" tried to say Myla but was interrupted by Ki. "Honey! Please I was just getting into a better mood why did you have to go and ruin it? By bringing up such nonsense." angrily said, Ki.

"KI! Please listen to me... you don't have to agree with me just know that I am on your side. But I also don't want to lose our...my daughters just because of the Families' values are different than how our daughters feel. I know you are loyal and an amazing leader but you lacking as a fath-." said Myla.

Slap...echo of slap...

Thud...a plant pot breaking...

Blood Dipping...

"I must be hearing things. I thought I heard a slave talking about ME LACKING SOMETHING!" said Ki.

...silence...

"Go inside and get yourself cleaned up and then come back and clean this mess. Understood?" said Ki in a disgusted tone.

Ki goes back to taking care of his plants and flowers. Myla picks herself up and heads to division 2nd to get a broom and bag to place the broken pot. Myla heads out trying to hold herself together. Myla says to herself "Why...did you say that...You are a slave sold off by your parents. You have no right to question your master...your husband." Myla headed into the 2nd division. "Madam, are you alright?" said one of the maids. "Ye...nw...pleas fech mi the me kit" tried saying Myla but with her busted-up mouth, it was difficult to say and to understand.

*What Myla tried to say was "Yes...now...please fetch me the med kit."*

"Uh...Med kit?" asked the maid. With a slight nod, Myla gave the maid left to fetch the med kit. Myla sat down and tried to get herself together... tried not to cry... make her know that what happened was her fault for stepping out of line.
