“Don’t you-don’t you dare touch her!”, Tujitou warned him as he struggled to stand up.

One look at Lazerus his face and anyone could clearly see that this had angered him. He’s a being worshipped by many and yet a worthless peasant dared to warn him. His pride as a leveled couldn’t permit such a disgrace.

“Dare?... Dare!?”, Lazerus lifted him up by his throat, suffocating him.

“That’s the second time today you insolent scum have dared to warn me. I can snap your neck as if it were a twig and yet-” he laughed- “you dare to warn me?”, Lazerus squeezed tighter and tighter.

Tujitou tried his best to escape his grasp, but all his struggle came in vain. Lazerus looked into his eyes as his consciousness faded away. 

“Tsk. You’re not even worth it”, Lazerus tossed him on the road before he fainted.

“Now where were we? Oh right. Your ‘sister’.”

As Tujitou lay on the ground he watched as Lazerus approached her. With the little bit of strength he had left, he slowly crawled to her. 

‘No! Please, leave her alone. Come on. Get up, move, anything! Why won’t you listen to me? Stop being useless, I can’t be useless. Not again. I have to protect her. I need to protect her,’ tears ran down his face.

“Mo-Moraña…,” with the last ounce of his strength, he reached out to Moraña and fell unconscious. 

“Moraña?”, Lazerus looked over to her.

 He walked over to her and kicked her over to get a better look at her.

“Ha… Haha…hahahahaha…”, Lazerus couldn’t stop laughing.

“Must be my lucky day. The money comes to me on its own. Michele was right, earth doesn’t seem so despicable after all.”

Lazerus tried grabbing onto her hair, but right as he was about to *KRSH*, his attempt was cut short. He had been impaled by what looked to be black spikes. He looked behind him and saw a black ooze branching out of Tujitou’s stretched-out arm.

“Not so anticlimactic after all.”

The black spikes which impaled him simply went through him as he stepped back. After Lazerus made some distance from Moraña, the black ooze retracted itself back. The black substance formed a cocoon in which Tujitou now resided.

“Poor last attempt.”

Suddenly Lazerus is sent flying into the Roshigi forest by Tsander.

“Alex!”, Alexander immediately arrived at Tujitou’s side.

“What happened to him?”

“I don’t know, but take him as far away from here as you can. I’ll get Moraña and then I will find you.”

“Understood, sir.”

It took only seconds before Alexander and Tujitou disappeared heading in the opposite direction Lazerus was sent flying. Tsander stayed briefly to ensure that they had escaped successfully, before making a huge leap toward Lazerus.

“What do you think you’re doing Lazerus?”

“Making a living, old timer”, Lazerus grunted as he stood up.

“Give me the girl!”

Lazerus grabbed Moraña by the ankle, lifting her with his bleeding right arm.

“It’s bad enough that you took one of my bounties, but now you want both? Hah, you still got that sense of humor of yours.”

“Lazerus! Hand Moraña over now!”

“Moraña? Wait. You seem to personally know these kids. Did you go and make yourself another family?”

“Hand her over, before I take her from you.”

“Won’t be happening. I’m being paid top dollar for this one. But I will take your head for making me lose the experiment.”

“Experiment?”

Lazerus throws Moraña to the side and rushes towards Tsander.
