Charlie slowly came to a realisation of what really had happened, and tears started running down his cheeks, into the corners of his mouth. He buried his face in Nicks hoodie and let out a series of loud sobs.

" im sorry im so so sorry " he murmured , repeating it over and over again , rocking back and forth on the hospital bed.

" hey hey its ok, your okay. " said nick and kissed him on the forehead while playing with is hair. Nick had a thing for Charlies hair, Charlie loved it.

Charlie looked up to see that Jane and Tori had left.

" where did tori and my mum go? " he asked, confused.

" they left so you could calm down, you went into sensory shutdown. " Nick replied.

" oh " he looked down, hiding his eyes that were glistening with more unshed tears.

The doctor walked in the room, came to a slow stop and smiled at Charlie.

" someones feeling better! " She said.

Charlie smiled lazily.

soon after, Jane and Tori appeared at the door, sad smiles on their faces

" are you feeling better ? " asked Tori as her and Jane walked in and sat down.

Charlie just smiled back, tori took that as a yes.

" im sorry to ruin this lovely moment but Jane could I have a word? " Asked Dr Thomas.

" oh um yes of course " replied Jane, startled by the question. 

As Jane and Dr Thomas walked off Tori got up and hugged Charlie, which was unusual.

Jane walked back into the room,

" Charlie, Dr Thomas said that you can go home tonight, since the surgery wasn't major! "

" that's good! " Charlie replied, he couldn't wait to get to his bed and just sleep.

A few hours passed by, Jane and Tori went back to the waiting area whilst Julio and Olly went to say hello.

Dr Thomas popped in for the last time, did a couple of checks and said they were free to go.

" finally " Charlie said with a relived and yet very tired tone in his voice.

" finally. " nick replied.
