The next day, Mafith woken up Sebastian and Rob. Sebastian rubbed his eyes and then washed his face with the water from his bottle. Enid had already awoken and helped Ammaurith packing the camp. The other were busy near the campfire; Pulkth examined all the drones; while Lenoeth checking their equipment. Sebastian and Rob  sat next to Sannekth who was grilling some skewered meat.

"Nekthss," called Pulkth, he finished checking the data gathered by the drones "There'sss a settlementss, theress!" He pointed at the hillside.

"Hmmss.." Sannekth rubbed his chin.

Mafith approached Sannekth,"Amprss sentss usss mapss ofss thisss landss."

Sannekth checked his wristband. Sebastian looked at the map, there's a settlement not far from their location just like pulkth said, there's also several ruins beyond the settlement.

"Nekthss, Amprss also detectedss a feintss signalss notss longss agoss. Shess sentss dronesss andss foundss a large struturess nearss thess twinss smallss planetsss orbitingss the edgess of thisss systemss"

"Structuress? didss wess missss themss when wess enteredss thisss systemss?" said Pulkth

Sannekth gathered everyone to discussed their next objective. Investigating both the settlement the structure might used up their remaining time, they had to go back to the base before the next 2 cycle.

"How about we split up?" suggested sebastian "We can cover both faster"

Sannekth grinned and agreed with Sebastian suggestion. He told Sebastian, Enid and Rob to investigated earth by themselves while he and the other investigated the structure. Ammaurith opposed it because she feared something might happened to them, but relented afterS assured her that this would be great final lesson for them.

Ampr sent a ground vehicle which double as mobile living quarters for them, she also prepared 3 Corinths (a handheld weapon that shot compressed air, they were trained but never had a chance to used it.) for each of them. The garbitians boarded the landing craft and left earth. Sebastian watched them as they dissapeared above the cloud. The 3 hopped inside the vehicle and Rob drove to their destination.

On the 3rd day, they saw a wall on the distance. They hid their vehicle and walked towards it. It's a small village but it were in total mess, it's like they were under attacked by something. They checked the area and found lots of eerie symbols on the wall of some of the houses.

"Those symbols.. didn't Lenoeth mentioned about it-" said Sebastian, but Rob pointed at a weird construction at the center of the village.

"What is that?" asked Rob

Enid was still checking the wall when Sebastian and Rob approached the construction, They both horrified seeing what lies there. There were hundreds of mummified heads arranged on the construction covered with dried blood.

"What the-" Rob eyes widen, he covered his mouth.

"What is it?" asked Enid as she ran towards them.

"No! Don't! stay back!" Sebastian tried to stopped Enid before she could approached them, but it was too late, Enid saw the severed heads and screamed loudly. Sebastian tried to calmed Enid and brought her aside, away from the horrifiying sight.

After Enid calmed down, Sebastian asked her to informed Sannekth the situation. Enid nodded and left them. Sebastian and Rob then approached it once more and examined the head. They noticed they all had similar features, they all had really pale skin and silver hair, but they lacked the self inflicted scar.

They also found heads belonged to children. "Urgh.. what kind of psycho doing this." said Rob disgusted.

Sebastian was seething inside for whoever did this. They then left and wait for Enid near the village gate. moments later they heard Enid ran towards them bringing a communication device.

"Thisss concernsss me kidss." said Sannekth

"Let'sss headss backss andss pickss themss upss, Amprss! preparess the shipss!!" Ammaurith shouted

"Youss heardss hers. Kidss, youss wantss to leavess?"

Sebastian thinked for a while, he then said "Enid, Rob, i want to continue investigate, if you both want to leave then i-"

Rob cuts him, "Nah, i want to find this bastard who did those thing to even children!" he clenched his fist "i'll stay!"

Enid looked scared, but she also chose to stay.

"Alrightss kidss"

Ammaurith interjected "Atss leastss! sentss Gersothss backss to accompaniedss themss."

"Don't worry Ammaurith.. we'll be fine" said Sebastian

Enid also tried to assured Ammaurith. "We'll- We'll be fine, Ammaurith.."

"Youss hearss herss. Maurithss.. theyss too willss leadss theirss ownss teamss laterss, youss can'tss lookss afterss themss foreverss."

Ammaurith finally relented. Sannekth was about to end their transmission when Sebastian asked.

"Uhmm.. about the structure?"

"It'sss a spacess stationss. The otherss are nowss fixingss the generatorss."

Sebastian saw Gersoth approached Sannekth. "Nekthss, itsss bustedss, Noethss suggestss drawingss powerss fromss ourss shipss, itss willss takess quitess sometimesss to connectss itss"

"Hurryss upss, As soonss wess finishedss thisss, the soonerss wess couldss getss backss to earthss!" said Ammaurith

"Whatss thatss aboutss?" asked Gersoth

"Wess gotss situationss, i'llss tellss youss laterss. Kidss, I authorizess allss of youss to usess your Corinthss atss maximumss settingss. Do whateverss itss takess if itss meantss forss yourss survivalss. I'llss contactss againss laterss afterss the powerss restoredss. Goodss luckss" He ended the transmission. Sebastian put the device on his bag.

"So.. what we gonna do now?" asked Rob

"Bring our vehicles here, we will stay here for the night.."

"Okay. " Rob then left.

A while later, Rob arrived with their vehicles. Sebastian then take a shovel from the vehicle container, and he hands another one to rob. "let's give them proper burial".

"Let me help.." said Enid, she also took a shovel from the container, her hands trembling.

They made small graves for each of the remains and they also built a gravestone using the wall with drawing of garbitians symbol of life and beyond. Rob then furiosly destroyed the weird construction with his shovel. After paying respect, they returned to their vehicle. Sebastian took out their map and discussed with Rob for their next destination, while Enid went inside the vehicles to get their cooking supplies.

"There are other settlement nearby, the closest one is there." 

"How about this one?" Rob pointed at the furthest ruin "it's the largest ruin."

"Hmm.. it required about a half of a ring to reach there." said Sebastian, calculating the distance.

Enid came back with a stove. She then sat near them.

"So.. Sebas, what we're going to do tomorrow?" Enid asked

"Rob suggested we visit this ruin", Sebastian shown enid the map. "When morning comes, we depart."

Both Rob and Enid nodded their head. Enid went back to the vehicles to get the food while Rob set up the stove. Sebastian turned on the lamp but accidentally set it too bright which caused him and Rob yelped. They heard Enid giggled at them, she returned with the food and started cooking.

While waiting for Enid to finished cooking, Sebastian and Rob decided to checked the houses. There were somekind of air filtration device on each house. They found the largest house that still largely intact. There were a small chamber infront of the main door and the house were thightly sealed.

They found a bookcase on of the bedroom, Sebastian took one of the book "Cinderella?". He flipped the page, it's worn out but still readable.  They then checked the other room and they found a large locket, inside was somekind of device with numbers and arrows.

"What's that?" asked Rob

"Maybe it's a clock?" said Sebastian. "I think the number this arrow point is for telling the time."

Rob  found another large locket, but this only have NESW written on it istead of number and the needle keep pointing the same direction each time he rotated it.

"What's this?" asked Rob "is this a clock too?" He gave it to Sebastian.

Sebastian examined the locket "I have no idea."

They heard Enid's calling for them, the meal were ready. They quickly gathered everything they found and went outside. Enid was surprised to see them brought a lots of items. While eating they checked the item they found.

Sebastian noticed Enid was particulary fascinated with the book they found. Aside from more story book like cinderella, there were also cooking recipe. She mentioned she wanted to tried the recipe when they get back to their ship "Ammaurith would love this." After finished eating, Sebastian stored the items they found inside the vehicle's container.

As the skies darkens, Sebastian told Rob to activated some drone to guarded the surrounding. They then entered their vehicles and rest for the night. They maybe only slept for a while when they were awoken by a loud noise, it's the drone, alarming them of an intruder. Sebastian told the other to prepared their corinth and they went outside their vehicles. They saw the drones surrounded a figure, it try to swatted the drones. Sebastian motioned them to followed him.

"Let me go!" the figure shouted as one of the drone lifted them up. "let me- Wait! my-".

Sebastian saw something fell from their face, then he heard the intruder gasping. Sebastian told Enid and Rob to hurried. Arriving there, Rob ordered the drone to ceased and they lowered the intruder down. The intruder was gasping and now convulsed violently.

They had a hard time tried to them hold down. Rob removed the intruder hoodie, revealing a really pale girl with silver hair. She tried to clawed her neck and chest as soon as they released her hands; her eyes redden and her mouth turned blue. Sebastian notice a broken mask on the ground near them. Realization dawned upon him, he quickly picked her up and ran to their vehicles. Rob and enid followed him.

Sebastian told Rob to opened the door. He laid the girl on the seat. Sebastian told them to quickly entered the vehicles and closed the door. He activated the air purifier and the heater. The girl stop convulsing, but she was now shivering and having a hard time breathing.

"What happened to her?" asked Rob

"Maybe she can't breath without her mask. Get the med device and a blanket.."

Enid quickly took for the device from the container. She injected an anesthetic, the girl fell asleep, Rob and Sebastian then wrapped her with a blanket and put the breathing mask.  Enid scanned the girl with the med device and administered the cure suggested by the device.

"She should be fine now" said Enid, they all sighed in relieved.

Enid kicked Sebastian and Rob out from the vehicles because she wanted to change the girl clothes so she could rest more comfortably. Rob mumbled, they took mats from the baggage and laid it on the snow. Before he slept, Sebastian was delighted they found a human and couldn't wait to informed Sannekth.
