The next morning, Enid awoken Sebastian and Rob. Enid told them that the girl was still asleep. She performed another checkup. she looked at the device "Her vital is normal and her lung is healed, i hope she'll wake up soon"

"I was wondering, where's she come from," Sebastian checked the map "there is no settlement nearby."

"I'll sent the drones to search the area." said Rob

While Enid cared the girl, Sebastian helped Rob released the drones. They watched the fed from the drones view. One of the drone found footprints which maybe belonged to the girl, it followed the footprints until it reached a cave on the hillside not far from their location.

"A hideout?"

"Fly the drone the inside." said Sebastian

Suddenly Enid called them, the girl was finally consuious. Rob ordered the drone to stay put in front of the cave and also ordered the other to scouted the area surrounding the hillside. They then walked to their vehicle.

The girl looked scared when they entered the vehicles. She cowered under her blanket.

Enid tried to calmed her down. "Please don't be scared, we are not going to hurt you. What's your name? oh! my name is Enid and this two are Sebastian and Rob"

"You- you're not one of them?"

Sebastian looked at Enid and Rob, "uhh.. whose them?"

"Underground people.." said the girl

"Underground people??" Rob snorthed. "What a silly name."

"You- You're not with them?" she looked relieved. "Then- who are you?"

"Uh, we are-" Sebastian whispered at Enid and Rob "what should i tell her?"

"We are from a place far far away." said Enid suddenly. Rob about to say something but she covered his mouth. "Yes! far far away."

She looked at them suspiciously, then she suddenly asked "Are you.. the sky people?"

"A what now?" asked Rob

"Sky people!" the girl shouted. She suddenly burst into tears. "finally.. we are saved.." the girl muttered.

Sebastian, Enid and Rob looked at each other confused, Enid tried to calmed her. After she calmed down, Enid told her that they were not the sky people. The girl she was still insisted that they were the sky people because only they possessed advanced technology and had a majestic chariot like their vehicles even better than the one belonged to underground people.

"Are they aliens?" Rob whispered to Sebastian

"I'm sorry.. but.. again.. we are not the sky people.. we were human just like you." said enid. The girl was dejected. Enid asked "Would you mind telling us about these sky people and also these underground people, why are you scared of them? and.. what's your name?"

"Shanna.." said the girl. Shanna then told a a story she said passed down by her father and before him. A long time ago earth were at constant war. One day, the sky people came to this planet, bringing gift of advanced technology to humanities. Under their guidance, human enjoyed a peaceful live, but there's a group called the underground people who envied the sky people, because they were once the leader of humanities.

A war erupted between the sky people and the underground people. The sky people able to subdued the underground people, but they, the underground people, in desperation used a weapon that destroyed every living being in this planet. The destruction blocked the sun and erupted the mountain. The sky people were forced to flee back to the sky along with any human they could saved.

"Our ancestor got left behind, but there's a message, a promised that they will be back for us, we've been waiting for them ever since.."

Sebastian secretly recorded Shanna's story and then transmited it to Sannekth.

"That's interesting story, Shanna." said Enid while giving her a bottle of water. "Uhmm.. Are you hungry?"

Shanna nodded. Enid walked to the storage and get a meal box, she opened it and passed it to Shanna. Shanna looked at the food for moment; took a small bite and then quickly gulped everything.

Enid waved another box at her, Shanna snatched the box. While she ate her 2nd portion, Sebastian asked "Are you alone? are there more of you out there?"

Shanna suddenly panicked "I don't know.. they'd gone looking for supplies since a months ago, they should've been back by now. Maybe those underground people, they-" Shanna pointed at the ruined settlement, "Those were once our homes, but the underground people came and killed everyone" Shanna shook her head, tears rolled on her cheek. "Me, my father and brother along with few others manage to escape. Since then we live inside a cave at the hillside. Yesterday, i saw a light coming from here and i thought-"

"It's alright, Shanna.." Enid hugged her.

Sebastian looked at her and said "Let's go find your family."

"You will?" Shanna smiled brightly, she wiped her tears. "Thank you.."

"So.. where's your family went to?" Rob shown her the map.

The map coming out from his wristband made Shanna jumped "what is that?"

"Uh.. You see, our technology might be a bit advanced than yours, because we uncovered few advanced technology from the past, maybe belonged to this sky people" explained Sebastian "By the way, could you show us where's your family went to?"

Shanna looked at the map and  said "They were heading to a ruin at north east from our hideout"

"North East?" asked Rob "what is that?"

Shanna looked at him suspiciously.

"Nevermind him," said sebastian "where is this North East?"

Shanna was still suspicious, but she said "Your map doesn't have any  direction, uhm... we have a compass at our place."

"what's a comp-" Rob about to asked but Enid shush him

"Allright, let us packed our camp first."

Sebastian and Rob about to went out from their vehicles when Shanna shouted at them to stopped because they didn't wear any protective gear.

"Oh, we don't need to." said Rob waving his hand

"Are you sure you're not the sky people." said Shanna.

Sebastian told Shanna how their people were trained to live under the condition outside. Shanna was unconvinced but didn't asked further. After packing their camp, they helped Shanna wore Enid's space suit.

"Its a bit tight on the chest." said Shanna. Sebastian saw Enid's face twitching, he quickly adjusted the size.

When they finally ready to set off, Rob started the engine and drove towards Shanna's hideout. Arriving there, Shanna and Enid entered the cave while they waited outside. A while later, they brought quite a lot of makeshift weapons such as spear and club, Sebastian helped them put all of it on the container. Shanna then showed them the compass which they immediately recognized, she also bring her own map which had the location of their hideout.

"Isn't that the same thing we found yesterday?" whispered Rob.

"This cave is facing south" said Shanna while checking the compass and comparing hers and their map "Then.. the nearest ruin at north east is.. this one!"

"Alright, buckle up!" Rob drove their vehicles towards the location. It was quite far, they took turns driving the vehicle so they could reach it faster. Shanna wanted to tried driving it which after she kept pestering, finally given a chance, but later they forbade her because they almost ended up inside a crater.

At the morning of the 6th day, they saw a tall structure at the horizon. They stopped outside the ruins. They only brought essential item such as ration, med kits and shannas's weapon due to her insistance, and also an air purifier for Shanna. The 3 secretly brought their Corinth and a communication device. Rob wanted to bring their drones but Sebastian forbade him because it might scares Shanna's family. Rob hid their vehicle under a collapsed building.

The ruin were actually bigger than the map shown due to it mostly covered in snow. They'd been searching maybe about half of the ruins but still there's no sign of Shanna's family.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" asked rob

"I am sure of it." said Shanna "I remember that tall building."

Sebastian motioned them to stopped because he heard something. There's a sound coming from nearby building. They slowly approached the building, but Shanna shouted and called her father. There were no respond, they ran to the building and found nothing.

"Maybe a falling debris or something?" said Enid.

Sebastian looked at the sky, "Let's take a rest for now, we'll continue tomorrow." He saw a housing complex not far from there, which they found a small house that still somewhat remained intact. They sealed the house and set up the air purifier. Enid opened her backpack and distributed the meal box she carried.

While they ate, Rob asked "Shanna, i've been wondering... how'd you get food ? i didn't see a single animal on the way here."

"My father said most animals died off long time ago due to the war.. except for bugs and few smaller one. We have a rat farms back at the hideout and we also eat mushrooms. Sometimes there were peddler from other settlement brought some fish from the sea, but we never seen them again."

"I guess what we had been through before meeting the watcher still way better than here." Rob whispered at Sebastian.

After they ate, they chatted for awhile. Like always, Shanna was interested with their home, which Sebastian had to made up most of it, Rob didn't helped with his constant grinning. When the skies darken, they went to sleep.
