“...”
“Oh come on, don't be like that.”
I groan out loud and give up. I don’t have the energy to do this, especially not with guests. I’ll just look stupid.
“Ugh, alright, guess I should change.”
“Why? You look pretty good as is, no?” I look toward the person who said this. It’s Edward. I feel my face get warmer and I’m outright lost for words.
“...I'll just go get a coat or something..”
I quickly go into my room to grab my jacket. Upon closing the door, I put my ear to the door, I have a feeling this was planned.
“All according to plan”
“Heh. You're welcome."
“Isamu, you teach him how to be so smooth?”
“I wish... He could probably teach me a thing or two.”
I roll my eyes. I lost the moment they came into the apartment. Picking up the jacket off of the back of the chair, I take a deep breath and grasp my necklace into my hand. Calming myself, I leave the room.
“Let’s go, I guess.”
I might as well just go with it. I know she's trying to help. And I’ll admit I’ve been pretty adamant about dealing with shit alone…
“Alright.” Isabelle replies as she stands up, everyone follows suit and we all start to leave the apartment.
Isamu mentions in passing, “Oh, I’ll fit that alarm when we’re done if you like, Isabelle.”
Isabelle taps Isamu on the shoulder. “Thanks, appreciate it.”
Yeah… I thought as much. Glad I didn’t push the issue.
We leave the apartment, and I lock it behind me as we make our way down to Isamu’s car.
