Outside the headquarters a world transporter was arranged along with a driver. Augustus was already waiting to see them off.

“Will you be coming back… you know to… visit and stuff?” Clare asked to Merissa.

Merissa, “You know I won’t but something tells me otherwise.” Merissa said looking at Alex.

Clare only gave a slight nod.

“Say what’s your name by the way?” Alex asked to Rose.

“You can just call me R-1” Rose said as she gave a slight look to Nina. The latter understood that Rose didn’t want to disclose her identity and so she kept quiet about it.

“You know, I asked your name not a roll call.” Alex said as he gave an eyebrow raised look.

“That’s all you need to know about me.” Rose said as she turned her head around. This didn’t go unnoticed by Clare. A few seconds later Damian Marley and Coco arrived.

“We haven’t had much time to talk but I believe I owe you an apology for the trouble you had. The stone was stolen under my watch so it’s—

“It’s alright don’t sweat it, you helped me with that white costume joker, so I guess we’ll call it even.” Alex said cutting Damian short.

“I’ll never forget your kindness.” Damian said. He understood that Alex was being kind.

Coco had already realized that his friend had passed over when the light from the building disappeared. Afterall she was also a part of Xerxes family. She could sense a strong aura of her master coming from Alex and that’s how she knew that she had to help him. Alex rubbed Coco’s head gently.

“Take care beautiful, thanks for all the help.” Coco gave a happy neigh in response. Alex was a little surprised as he could still comprehend that Coco was saying goodbye but he didn’t pay much mind to it.

“What happened to Blake?” Alex asked to Augustus.

“He accepted.” Augustus replied.

“I am thinking of even providing him with some employment, there are many like Blake, if not guided properly will fall on the wrong side.”

‘I guess, this world isn’t really much different from earth.’ Alex thought to himself.

Augustus, “Feel free to visit sometime, your tale—

“Sorry I have school and stuff.” Alex cut off Augustus as he hopped onto the Transporter.

Augustus revealed an amused smile.

‘I guess people like you are truly difficult to tie down, isn’t that right master Green’ Augustus thought as he watched the transporter go through the dimension.

When they arrived back on earth it was almost night, so Merissa offered them to sleep at her house and return to school in the morning. Rose’s lieutenant was instructed to teleport them safely back inside the school. Alex woke up for roll call as the warden had arrived. The council had already handled their matters. As the exams were 3 days away there was no classes going on except for some which the teachers offered to help their students.

That same morning, Alex and Nina took a stroll around the campus as they were talking about the events of what happened back on ‘Emerald’. They were given strict instructions of not disclosing this to anyone, of course if they didn’t comply the Council will erase their memories. Both of them had no issues with it, in the first place no one was even going to believe their story anyway, they’ll just come off as people watching too much magic mumbo jumbo.

“So, what about Blake, I heard you cut some deal for him?” Nina asked.

“Yeah, I mean… I hate to admit it but I survived that far only by relying on his help, so his contribution was a great one in getting that memory fragment and freeing Xerxes soul. Even if I hadn’t, I think the Council’s old man would have still helped him.” Alex said as he gazed at the students on the campus, studying for the upcoming exams.

Alex then abruptly stopped as he remembered something.

“What happened to Rose after I left?” He had completely forgotten about her. Though he had asked Rose herself, to him she was only the member of the Council. He wanted to confirm again

“Don’t worry, the Council nursed her and erased her memories.” Nina lied.

Alex, “oh… okay.”

“So, what are you going to do about your powers?”

Alex asked. “I… don’t know. I mean Merissa offered me to teach me how to use them… but I am unsure…”

“Nothing would be the same if you go down this path?” Alex asked as if reading her mind. She nodded blankly looking at the distant campus grounds.

Alex, “Well if that was the case you could have choose to erase your memories, besides after what happened, you think everything would be the same for you?”

Alex knew while on the surface she seemed fine, getting kidnapped was not a small incident, that too by some alien. It could leave you with a trauma. Nina contemplated his words and turned towards him as if she got some answers.

“I’ll see you for lunch then.” Alex said as he waved to Nina and jogged towards the library. Nina smiled and waved bye as she headed for the main building.

Emerald:

In one of the hospitals. Blake was sitting on a chair beside a bed. There was a girl with silver hair asleep on it.

*knock* *knock*

Blake went to open the door and found Augustus standing outside. He came out of the room and gave a slight bow.

“Good afternoon, Council Chief.” Blake said.

“You don’t have to be so formal around me kid.” Augustus said waving his hand.

Augustus, “How’s your sister doing now?”

“Her health’s improved, thanks to you.” Blake replied.

“Good, I won’t beat around the bush much, I came here to give you an employment offer.” Augustus said as he stroked his beard.

“Employment for me?” Blake asked surprised.

“Yes, I want you to work for me, you’ll be given a salary every month.”

“I am sorry; I am honored that you gave me such an opportunity but I don’t think I will be of much use to you.” 

“Oh, you’ll surely be quite useful, you don’t have to worry about that and I presume you are already looking for jobs right now, aren’t you?”

Augustus said as he glanced at all the flyers containing job opportunities, laying on the chair.

“Since you’ll be working for solely me, I’ll even provide you with a place to stay. Think about it and give me an answer by tomorrow. Take care.” With that before Blake could say anything Augustus vanished.
