"Alo, that was an interestingly beautiful set-up, you know," Abhoy commented, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "The thought of pairing them up like that did not even cross my mind, honestly," he further expressed,
"Ya... That idea, um... suddenly popped into my head, out of nowhere...!" she replied, her enthusiasm bursting forth as she gazed at him.
The three of them were walking through the Shiuli* gardens, which was a popular dating spot for couples, on route to the college. On overcast days, the vibrant illustration of flower petals fallen on the road, along with the blooming fragrance, filled the road with an enchanting atmosphere, powerful enough to captivate one for hours.
"Dhriti is probably dying right about now, I hope things go well..." pondered Rup, gazing at the pinkish-white shiuli flower petals, "His cv about being alone with her is not too bright either,"
"Don't worry, it's about time that the two of them get together. Dhriti needs to gather some courage and ask her out already! Time's ticking, you know," explained Abhoy, looking at him,
"That's right," Rup said, nodding in agreement with his claim. "Well, keeping all that aside, thismind refreshing aroma, I missed this so much, hmm," he said, noisily inhaling the surrounding air,
"Hmm, right," Abhoy agreed, while doing the same thing,
"This ambience is superior to anything!" exclaimed Rup, totally immersed in the surrounding atmosphere. "I challenge a game engine to create this!" he declared with wit,
Listening to Rup's bold declaration, Abhoy couldn't help but laugh at his new personality. Keeping a hand on his shoulder, he replied, "Man, you have really turned into an enemy of gaming, this is so wild! I can't wait for Avinash to hear this,"
"He heheh..." Rup joined in with his laughter,
Both of them laughed for a while before finally calming down, totally exhausted.
Rup took a deep breath and soulfully whispered, glancing at the flower petals, "You know guys, conversing like this, out here, in this garden, brings back soooo many good memories..."
"Yeah," replied Abhoy, "Me and Alo used to come here all the time, two years ago; It seems like..."
"...Those days are now just a beautiful memory, right?" expressed Rup, poignantly feeling the atmosphere,
Abhoy stretched his arms, wide open, "Ya...," he replied. "It was a really good decision on my part to take this route, don't you think?" he asked cheerfully, directing his gaze at Alo,
"..."
"Alo?"
"Hmm?"
"Whoa whoa whoa, were you lost in thought all this time?" Abhoy interrogated,
"Huh?"
"She has been kind of quiet for a while, now that I think about it..." asserted Rup,
"Me?N-No no, like, I mean... yes, I just hope everything is alright with the two of them," she replied hesitantly,
Both Rup and Abhoy halted in their tracks, and turned back to face Alo, blocking off her route.
"Whoa, what happened? It's nothing serious, I was just lost in thought for a moment," yelled Alo, forcing her usual excitement,
"And that...is what is bothering me for a while now" said Rup, "Something, doesn't add up,"
Both Alo and Abhoy glanced at Rup, who was looking directly at Alo, with a thoughful expression.
"What do you think?" asked Abhoy,
"My years of gaming experience tells me, that the previous event, was not an ordinary set-up, it was planned," Rup whispered, wearing a partially confident smile on his face. "Alo can you please confirm my suspicion?" he pleaded, dramatically,
"Umm..."
"Wait, now that you say it, what was Onjoli doing at the station? As far as I remember she used to commute via auto," Abhoy mentioned, adding evidence to the Rup's allegation,
"Huff Okay okay, enough of that detective stuff" said Alo, sighing deeply. "And here I thought I was safe.." she stated, glancing at Rup wearing an irritated expression,
"HA HA HA!" smiled Rup, boastfully. "My perspective on gaming might have changed," he said, "But experience never changes, lady"
"Speak up Alo, your efforts to hide the truth has been in vain, and now it's time to draw the final curtain upon the act and reveal the truth..." Abhoy said, jesting a performance, "Now would you please -"
TU RURU TU RURU TU RURURU...
"Who is this fool, disrupting my elegant performance, and in such a good moment at that," Abhoy continued with the act, as he took his mobile out from the right pocket of his trouser.
"Is it Dhriti?" Rup asked,
"Nooo... it's Proloy, for some reason," he replied, dropping the act,
"He must have been waiting for you in class for a while now," remarked Alo, as Abhoy received the call.
"So Alo, are you gonna reveal the truth anytime soon?" inquired Rup, softly
"Ya, ya, so basically Onjoli called me last night,"
"I see and,"
"She said-"
"WHAT!?Are you SERIOUS?" Both Rup and Alo glanced at Abhoy, as his horror filled voice cut through their conversation,
"Wh-what happened?" asked Alo,
"Wait Wait," Abhoy instructed, glancing at Alo. "Does Dhriti know about that?" he continued on the call,
Alo stood midway staring at his face, wearing a worrying expression on her face while Rup began formulating the basis of the conversation, based on Abhoy's reactions.
"Okay listen to me- Do not let anyone inform Dhriti about this, we are coming." he stated, quickly ending the call.
