Asukem snapped out of his memory when he heard Bob's voice yelling frantically, "Asukem! Asukem!" he was still confused and dazed. Bob had him by the shirt's collar, shaking him and yelling at him, "Damn it, boy, snap out of it!" he was trying to catch up with the chaotic situation around him. Scanning the area, he saw his siblings panicking and screaming. Clair tried to calm everyone down and lead them out of the cemetery. As the reality of the situation set in, Asukem felt his heart racing with fear as his mind asked the main question. What was happening, and why was everyone in a panic?

Asukem Finally saw the black smoke and the sinister orange light blazing from the town. A surge of fear appeared as he could feel the heat from the flames from the town, even in the cemetery. He quickly turned to look at Bob. The look was uninspected. It was a look of bravery and courage, nothing like his foster father. The way Bob handled the situation earned a spark of respect from Asukem, staying calm and telling him and Clair to get everyone to safety and running towards the flaming town with his sword drawn.

Clair grabbed Asukem's shoulder, trying to pull him away, pleading with him, "Come on, let the old man help them. It is not our job!" however, Asukem resisted, feeling obligated to help. Asukem looked back at the blazing light from the town, then back at his sister and siblings, unable to decide what to do. He yelled at Clair, "I can't just leave him alone!" Clair shouted, pleasing and crying, "Yes you can, leave him be, come on, I need you, Asukem, please stay with me!"

Asukem turned to join his family as they escaped the deadly situation at hand. Still, in a matter of seconds, he hesitated. His legs felt heavy as they were going through thick mud. His footstep faltered to a standstill, unable to move forward, but he quickly could step back without ease. It was a powerful force that kept him from advancing with his family. His heart sank as he looked down at the ground and back at his family. He scanned the area, and his gaze locked onto the burning town. Regret and guilt washed over him, and he slowly shook his head in disbelief at his actions, whispering to himself. However, it was meant for his sister Clair, "I'm sorry."

Clair's blood turned cold as she witnessed Asukem suddenly turn away from his family and head towards the flaming town with his sword drawn. Clair bellowed in fear, pleading with him, "Asukem, don't!" as she watched his determined face and resolute gait. She tried to chase after him, but a vast shadow of flames overwhelmed her, making her lose her balance and fall to the ground on her buttocks. Red eyes pierced back at her from the flames as she looked up, filling her living core with fear and dread. A roaring voice echoed, "Back off Bitch. He is mine, now!" Clair's heart pounded slower in her chest as she struggled to catch her breath. Her life force was at risk from the fear and sorrow tugging at it.

Asukem, blinded with determination, didn't see the sinister flames from behind him as he rushed towards the flame-touched town, his family far behind him and Clair screaming his name from a distance, filled with tears. She knew he couldn't hear her, and he wasn't stopping. Asukem continued to charge forward, seemingly unaware of the danger. He did not hesitate to rush towards his home, towards something that might be in peril. The surge of desperation and loss filled Clair as she watched him vanish into the blazing view. She could only hope as she watched hopelessly at him, waiting and praying to the Great Divines to return him safely to her, only fearing the worst.

Asukem ran through the burning town. The flames were intense, with a sinister presence lurking within. He didn't hesitate, observing the guards fending off strange monsters. Asukem's foster father, Bob, struggled to evacuate the civilians, but the monsters kept getting in his way. That's when Asukem took the initiative, calling out and instructing the civilians to follow him. Despite Bob's desire to punish the boy for disobeying him, he knew there was no time for that. The safety of the civilians came first, and Bob felt a wave of relief wash over him.

Asukem, watching in fear, has his beloved home burned up in flames as the civilians scurried out in fear and panic. He led them and solemnly declared, "Take the cemetery road. It's the safest option for now." he watched in concern as they disappeared into the dusk. Then he turned to the burning town with a determined look on his face, ready to keep on fighting until the last spark of flame was extinguished.

The heat of the flames licked his skin, burning the hairs on his body. However, he fought off the pain. He was not about to give in or give up. His will was too strong. Asukem took a deep breath and charged on, ready to wage the roughest battle of his life until the glimmer of life snuffed out of him.

The crackling of the flames with the sound of a cracking of a whip formed, the screams of Bob made the situation more dire. The heat of the flames stung the surface of his skin as the flames became more sinister and hotter. The scorching heat affected his vision, but he fought on trying to find any more survivors of the town.

That is when Asukem saw her, Lady Eveleana, the noble girl shrouded in her elegant black and purple fabrics surrounded by the heat, which was visible and was coming from not only the burning buildings but the ground, as if it was a powerful, but sinister aura.

Asukem thought the heat was affecting his eyesight as he saw a scorpion's tail, which was concealed beneath her dress and wrapped around Bob's neck, and he was on the verge of death. Lady Evealeana hurled him at Asukem's feet without regard for Bob's life. The flames illuminated her cold, ministering expression as she glared at Asukem, who stood in her way.

Bob choked for air, his body beaten and brushed with lashes of a whip covering his body as he fought to stay alive. "Run... Boy..." Bob managed to croak out a warning, his body bleeding from the lashings as he coughed, which brought up the blood that was already filling up his lungs. "They have demonic strength!" he gasped out another warning, his eyes rolling up as a final look of fear and desperation crossed his face, as his last thought was to get his son to safety before he lost consciousness. Asukem, frozen in fear, loneliness washed over him as he watched in terror as his foster father left him alone in this cruel world.

Asukem grasped onto Bob's shirt collar with desperation as he yelled in denial, "No! No!" he shook his lifeless body, refusing to accept that he was gone. "Don't you dare leave me like this, you damn old man!" he yelled again, his pain and anger bursting out. His grief-stuck gaze fell upon the burning town around him as the realization sank in that he was truly alone, as two family members had died in front of his eyes.

As his lonely, grief-struck gaze tuned to rage, Asukem's sight began to shift. He noticed the noble girl in his peripheral vision, and the growl within him urged him to fulfill its desire. An image of Anubis appeared in his mind as a deep, dark voice boomed from within him, "Do it! kill her!" Asukem felt himself succumb to his rage as he started to breathe heavily, and he unsheathed his sword. He felt the bloodlust within him take over slowly with every step he took, coming closer to the noble girl.

Asukem glared at the noble girl with a snarl, hissing out, "You bitch! He didn't deserve that!"

His rage built, and his grip on the hilt of his sword tightened. He continued even as memories of Bob's abuse flashed through his mind as if he had forgotten the past and entirely focused on the present and the noble girl in front of him.

"How dare you, how dare you do this to my Father, you bitch!" he screamed out, his eyes narrowing as he let out his pent-up rage.

She replied, "But I had to. the stupid geezer was defying me." She flipped her hair, showing her utter indifference towards Asukem's words. "Someone had to teach that old dog some respect," she said, showing no remorse for Bob's death or the impact it was having on Asukem.

With every word, Asukem's anger grew as if her dismissive attitude was fueling the fire within him. His gaze narrowed even more as he prepared for the battle, determined to avenge Bob no matter the cost.

Asukem glared and charged at the noble girl, his rage turning into an uncontrollable fury. He screamed out, "You damn bitch! I will teach you to respect the dead!"

With that, he went in for the attack, his sword ready and his eyes blazing with violence. Asukem would make sure that the noble girl paid for the pain and trauma she had caused him, one way or another.

She smirked as she said, "No, you won't." Suddenly, a spark of lightning formed on Asukem's body, shocking him as he tripped and fell to the ground. He let out a startled yell and struggled to get up, the electricity disorienting him and causing him to flail around in pain.

The noble girl watched with a twisted smile as she saw Asukem writhing in pain. She was expecting something a little more challenging. She wrestled in disappointment and walked off into the flames, disappearing from his painful-filled vision, leaving him there, and her magic continued to torment him.
