“Clicks, what happened out there?” Leader asked once Ragen left, he tilted his head as he watched the window. “Be serious for once!”
“I am serious,” Clicks said his voice deep and raspy, “Ragen Killin, leader of his unit. His unit consists of 4 visible members, in the truck was unseen people, possibly 5 more. It was too large just to hold those 5 alone. One of them knows Morse Code, they call him Rover. All are in tactical uniform, either they don’t know how the military worked or the real leader of this group wanted it this way.”
“What do you make of the situation right now?”
“Honestly, Dustin? I don’t know, too many variables and all of them unpredictable. They want something more than just a decoy, what that is, is the question.” Clicks walked to the window and looked down to the large living area. These were his people, he wants to take care of them. He can see that they are skittish around new people and their patterns were the same. “This place won’t hold for long, we’re running out of material to keep it together. What’s worse is that the dead walkers migrate and this is one of those stops.”
“What I’m hearing is that you’ll take the job. You’re the only one that goes out to distract the dead walkers.”
“I’ll take someone out with me to teach them what to do, you can decide who it is. Wait, what happened?” Clicks noticed someone walking in with a slight limp and he opened the door and rushed down.
“No bites, no wounds- Clicks?” Rebecca was her name and she was leading this group. Clicks skidded to a stop and lifted the mans pant leg to reveal a bite mark, “Mark- marked! Mav why did you keep this from us?”
“It just happened not to long ago, nothing to worry about.” Mav said.
“Come with me,” Doctor said and started walking towards the back under Dustin’s office. Clicks followed along holding onto the back of Mav’s shirt.
“Clicks, I’ll be fine don’t worry,” Mav said as they walked into the sick room. Clicks sat Mav down and the Doctor started his examination.
“Mav, you stated that this happened not to long ago. How long is that?”
“Uh,” Mav looked uncomfortable and glanced at Clicks, “Three days.”
“There’s nothing we can do now, other than let you go peacefully. You do know this, I’ll leave you to your thoughts.”
“I’m sorry Clicks,” Mav said and waited for him to start clicking at him. What surprised him was that Clicks sat beside him and gave him a piece of chocolate. They sat in silence as they shared the chocolate bar. “I’m sorry, I should have told you sooner. I didn’t want anyone to worry, looks like I failed. If I was a better runner or if I was more quiet. I don’t know, I was worried I wasn’t doing my best like everyone else. I’m happy for the friends I made here, I love each and every one of you. I’m sorry, I just started rambling, thanks for listening Clicks. And for the chocolate. I’m ready now.”
“Lay down, Mav,” Doctor said and Mav laid down with his arm stretched out. The Doctor pulled out a needle from his bag and knelt down, he then injected the yellowish fluid into Mav’s veins. “Good night, Son.”
“Good night, love you.” Mav said and the world stood still. “My name is Isaac Blevins.”
Clicks leaned forward close to Isaac’s ear, “You’re not a failure, you did so much for us. Thank you Isaac Blevins, you’re voice will carry.”
“Clicks? You can-” Isaac’s eyes closed slowly as his voice died down. They sat there for a few moments before letting people in to say their last good bye to him. Clicks sat there looking at Isaac’s body until it got dark out. Six strong men came in and picked up Isaac and carried him out to the back. Clicks got up and went to his room, the world itself was spinning wildly.
Morning had come and he was in his bells ready for his job. Gray gave him his radio, and he waited by the door.
“Are you sure you should be going out there kid?” it was Rover.
“— •     •     •     — • • / —     — — —”
“No you don’t, you just want a distraction. You want to gamble your life away, is this really the way to do it? Putting the rest of them in danger?”
“• • — •     — — —     — • — •     • • —     • • •”
“I am, but you are not. You’re not seeing the bigger picture, everything you do goes back to them. If you can’t control yourself then they will all die, just like that kid from last night. You have excellent observation skills, you can run, you have lasting endurance, why do you pretend to be this kid?”
“Hi! I’m going to be running with you, Clicks. You might not remember me I’m Cole Cash.” Clicks tried not to laugh. He forgot that some of them changed their names like he did. Some of the names were just ridiculous, and some were just funny. “Made you smile.”
“Cash, your running decoy. It would do better to focus, but than again who am I to tell you what to do. Obviously your leader Clicks will be teaching you everything you’ll need to learn.”
“Huh?” The door opened and Clicks clicked them out on the radio and they were off. He walked up to the wall and surveyed the road, it was clear which was odd. They walked into position listening for any dead walkers. Once they were in position they waited for the bell to sound.
It did but nothing was about. Clicks looked at Cole and they figured that they should walk around town to find where the dead walkers were. An hour goes by and they finally found them in a ditch, immobile and what seems to be shot.
“Did that Army take care of them? This is soooo cool! We don’t have to go out and run anymore, isn’t this great Clicks? Clicks? What’s wrong?”
Clicks stared at the pile of dead walkers in the hole and wondered why that Army would go to such lengths to try and recruit them. Or it could be apart of their agreement. He knows that this won’t last, the Army doesn’t know that the recent migration would be coming and this small batch of dead walkers is nothing compared to what’s coming.
“— —     • •     — — •     • — •     • —     —     •”
“What? Well with these guys helping us it will be no problem. Let’s go tell the other right away.” Cole started running back to the warehouse happily. Clicks looked around from the ditch and spotted a familiar dead walker. They were hiding in the forest, they must have ran there when these ones were being ‘Taken Care of’. Sighing, Clicks started making his way back making a little noise as he went as if not caring if the dead walkers could hear him.
As if he was relaxing like Cole.
“— • — • / — • — • / • — •”
“Clicks, Cash, Return.” The door opens and they walked in, Cole reported their findings  and started talking about the Army helping them during the week.
“Sorry, Kid. But we’re on a deadline. We have to move out soon,” Ragen said and his men stood as if ready to leave now. “About your decoy? I only seen these two leave, don’t you have any more?”
“We only had the 3, Mav, Cash and Clicks.” Dustin filled in. Ragen looked frustrated and just stared at them for a moment before pointing to Clicks.
“He’ll do, we need to leave now.”
“What?” Cole asked, “Why does Clicks have to leave? He can’t leave! We need him!”
“Please don’t take him! Anyone but him!” The warehouse was now in an uproar about the snap decision. Clicks went to his room to change out of his bells and gather his things in a bag. He stares at his jacket and wondered what his brother would have done. Would he have fought back or leave for the safety of these people. He always relied on his older brother for some kind of direction or advice, to tell him right from wrong.
“Robin, what would you have done?” He slipped on the jacket filled the pockets with his favorite candy and put most of his chocolate in his bag and started to head out, pulling up his mask. He stopped and seen everyone gathered, some were hugging each other others stood and watched him. He realized that these people were family, he remembered the advice they gave, their stories, how close they were. The happy memories, the sad, the arguments, he remembered them all. They held nothing back from him.
“• — —     • / • — • •     — — —     • • • —     • / — • — —     — — —     • • — / — • — •     • — • •     • •     — • — •     — • —     • • •” They all clicked and waved, some of them making hand hearts. He relaxed, now knowing that they would be fine without him. That they will be there with open arms.
They loved him.
They loved Clicks.
He pointed to the red printed heart on his jacket and started walking towards the door. He didn’t have to tell them anything, they knew that he cared about them.
They reached the truck and he was right, there were more people there. They all looked like they went to war and they don’t trust anyone else other than each other. Well it really didn’t concern him since he won’t be with them long.
He hoped.
He got in, not one bit afraid of them and sat in the back so that he could look at the town one last time before that window was closed. He knew he would miss the colorful trees and flowers, the freshly green grass and the sprinkle of the rain. It really was a peaceful town. It really held love in every corner and face, they really did threaten with hugs.

Until I return and I will return to you all, just wait for me for a bit longer, please.

Can someone tell me why there is a guy out there with bells on, the speaker on, and dancing to the music?

Decoy? What is he trying to do?

Help the people out there gather supplies.

Is there a reason why he has to dance? Is that important?

No, so he's just out there dancing and leading the zombies away. Who does he think he is?

What do you mean don't be mean? He's useless!

Alright fine, he isn't. But what could the purpose be for that annoying display?

Wait, where is he taking the zombies?

To a ditch?

Oh a stage.

Should I even ask anymore? Is he all that helpful? What about the ones left behind?

What do you mean they didn't get tickets? They have to get tickets to watch him... Oh.

I don't get it, I'm speaking to the leader and telling him how useless this guy is.

Leader, what do you mean he's helping? In what way?

Decoy? How is that-

What was that? Gunshots?

Army? What army?

Who are you? Why is Prancer here?

Run decoy for you? What do you mean leave?

Alright I'm gone don't shot.
