The apocalypse is just 15 days away…
In just 8 days since I purchased R-coins, its value has risen from one cent each to two dollars each. That's a twentyfold increase! In other words, my initial investment of five million has turned into 100 million. It's enough to cover the final payment for Phantom Glade.
At this point in my previous life, the increase was only around tenfold. Perhaps in this time, my infusion of five million into the market have attracted more investors, inadvertently driving up the value of R-coins.
The rapid surge in R-coins' value started to level off, and there were more voices expressing pessimism about its future. However, I continued to wait, convinced that R-coins would bring more surprises.
During this waiting period, I accomplished many things.
Smoothly took control of the crematory I had previously purchased.
Confirmed that the villagers in Phantom Glade could complete the production of my joss paper on schedule.
Used the remaining money In hand to buy a large quantity of vegetable and fruit seeds, researched the planting process, and gathered all the required materials.
After the apocalypse, all stores would be swarming with vengeful spirits, resources would be scarce, and the entire city would be filled with the stench of blood. To survive in this hellish environment, you could only eat human flesh or the excrement of various creatures. Only a few farmers growing vegetables would be exceptions. As for sumptuous and lavish feasts of meat, once you caught a whiff of the city's bloody smell, you wouldn't have the appetite for it.
I spent the remaining time researching the real estate prices in Serene Waterside, an isolated suburb, which will be the safe zone after the apocalypse.
In my previous life, the main city area and its surroundings were densely populated and swarming with vengeful spirits, making it difficult to initiate any sort of cleanup. The government then decided to establish a safe zone in the remote suburbs of Serene Waterside, a region with fewer fierce ghosts and lower cleanup difficulty.
This decision resulted in the real estate prices in the main city area dropping drastically, while the prices in Serene Waterside continued to soar. There were plenty of people willing to empty their wallets of both cash and joss paper to get a small room in this high-demand area.
But the Serene Waterside of today had only been developed last year, with vast land and sparse population. It was adorned with numerous luxurious villas, townhouses, and high-end apartments, truly resembling a beautiful paradise.
But it was too remote, with no nearby facilities. Even the closest supermarket required over an hour's drive. So, when these properties were listed, nobody was buying, and prices kept dropping. The most luxurious villas now cost just ten million, and apartments and townhouses were even cheaper.
In my current plan, after cashing out my R-coin and covering the final payment for Phantom Glade, I would have at least an additional ten million. So undoubtedly, I will be the buyer of the most luxurious villa in Serene Waterside.
