Bianca knew she had to do something to relieve the stress that had been building up inside her. She decided to take a break from her routine and go for a walk in the park. The fresh air and the greenery around her made her feel alive again. She felt like she was finally able to breathe. As she walked, she realized that she needed to make some changes in her life. She couldn't keep living like this, feeling trapped and suffocated. She needed to find a way to break free and live the life she truly wanted.

She ran back towards the campus. Finally, her mind was made up. she knew that college wasn't her place but what if this was. Outside was where she was herself, where her mind wasn't cluttered with facts and figures. 

Back in the dorm room, there were clothes stuffed into a backpack, the bare necessities only, and the money her parents were sending her. They didn't need to know. She had a plan and no one was going to stop it. It was for her eyes only. When she set out, she left a note on her desk. 

     

   

               'Emily,

              I know you love college and I know you strive to be great,

              but you will get to greater lengths without me. So I have

              decided to leave. You know I hate it here and nothing was

              going to stop me from leaving anyway. Please don't tell my

              parents. They wouldn't understand and would only get in

              my way. Please don't overthink this. it is not your fault at 

              all and I left out of my own free will.

CRASH. The glass fell all over the floor. Emily held the note with a shaking hand. She rushed to call Bianca and her phone rang out. Bianca wasn't answering. Emily's world was turned upside-down. She couldn't think straight. Couldn't see straight. Couldn't walk straight. She kept calling her and calling her and no reply. How could she do this? They were in this together. They were inseparable. It wasn't fair. "Don't tell my parents" Like hell, she won't. It was girl code, it was lady law. But what was unacceptable was her running away from her. 

She couldn't believe it. Where could she possibly go? She wouldn't go to any of her relative's houses, since there was a high, high chance that they would call home. And her note was pretty final, it made sure that she knew that she wasn't gone for a few days. When Emily had finally accepted that she was gone and it was out of her control. That she couldn't bring her back, she decided to give har another call.

"BIANCA WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE"

"Emily...I hoped you would call. I've missed you"

"Answer the question"

"I couldn't stand the place, so I left"

"But what about me...what about us"

"what about you? You will find some new friends fast. I'm sure about it. And you'll still be my best friend. I have no intention of making any other friends anyway"

"where are you going"

"I.......don't know. Bu.."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW"

"Emily. Calm down. I know where I'm going. I just don't know how exactly I'm going to get there"

"where are you right now"

"at a cafe in Horsham"

"Horsham? how the hell did you get there? It's like 20 minutes away by car"

"Damn it I should have taken a car"

"you don't have a car?"

"no......But I did get my bike"

"whats a bike going to do"

"Get me to St Ives"

"the hell are you going to do in flippin' St Ives"

"I dunno. get a new job"

"you could've done that here"

"it's boring there"

"why are you like this"

"why are you so..obstinant"

It was official. Bianca was a free bird. And she had spread her wings. Emily was alone, and just how strong was this friendship anyway. It had to survive for 275 miles. And god knows how long.
