“You’re right, let’s retreat for now.”

Daganzo’s other comrades agreed, and they then ended their respective calls.

 

The Wizards Government of Spain's central building.

The time was 11:35 pm. Daganzo, who was flying on his broomstick, flew towards one of the European modern classic style skyscrapers decorated with beautiful carvings on the frame parts of the building. From the outside, this building is like an ordinary office building, with the entrance to this building being a row of automatic sliding glass double doors and several tall wooden double doors on the first floor.

Daganzo flew closer and closer to the skyscraper building and was at a height equivalent to ten stories of this building. As Daganzo approached the building before him, he didn’t slow down and continued to fly toward the building, but something unusual happened. Daganzo penetrates the wall before him, which turns out to be just a magical barrier covering the open entrance of this building. Daganzo slowed down his flying broomstick; he arrived in a spacious guest hall with a high ceiling that combined the two floors’ height of this building. This guest hall has glossy floor tiles with several sturdy carved pillars. The entrance to the building that Dagsanzo had just passed while riding his broomstick was a row of several tall wooden black double gates with sturdy carvings and sturdy carved gateways that surrounded these gates. Daganzo got off his broomstick, which floated by itself and flew to the broomstick storage area on the hall’s second floor. Several other visitors wearing suits and riding broomsticks also came or left this building from this hall.

Daganzo walked to the long front desk before him, which had an entrance closed off by short gates similar to commuter entrance gates and several men and women wearing suits guarding it. Behind the front desk is a wide corridor decorated with beautiful carvings on the walls and ceiling and lit by rows of wall lamps. Daganzo walked through one of the short entrance gates connected to the front desk and the long corridor and reached the center part of this skyscraper building on the tenth floor.

In the center part of the building, there are buildings that are attached together to form eight groups of buildings that resemble eight large pillars that rise to the top floor, connected by spiral stairs and bridges with metal railings shaped like beautiful carvings on each level of the building, with no bridge in the middle, from the first floor up to the top floor of this building at the 90th floor. The 90th floor has an arrangement of framed glass panes that cover the ceiling in the center of this building and show a view of the night sky. Many people in suits, and some also covered in overcoats, walked around this place while carrying attache case bags; some were riding broomsticks and flying through each floor.

Daganzo walked in a wide-open hallway with glossy black metal railings and beautiful carvings that surrounded the center of the building on each floor. The atmosphere around this place was still quite busy, even though it was late at night. Many cloth billboards are hanging down on horizontal poles, displaying the emblem of the wizards’ government. An emblem resembling a shield with the image of two Existence Swords crossed on the shield’s surface, dividing several pictures. Below this shield are the words “Wizards Government of First Earth.” Over a regular period, this emblem turned into another emblem with a shield and a ribbon underneath that had writing reading “Wizards Government of Spain.”

Some of these cloth billboards contain moving images of a middle-aged man in his 60s with neatly styled but elegant hair turned white in regular patterns and a neatly shaved mustache and beard covering the bottom of his nose down to his chin that is turned white in regular patterns. This man stood up straight and wore an overcoat, a shirt, trousers, belt, a tie, loafers, and a baldric around his waist that held the Existence Sword sheathed in its scabbard. This man drew his sword from its scabbard, grasped it with one hand, and placed it in front of his face in a standing position pointing upwards. He then slashed his sword towards the side without moving from his standing position. This man in his 60s is the Prime Minister of the Wizards Government of Spain. Below the moving image of the Prime Minister is the writing “To Serve and Protect.”

On the first floor of this building, there are wide corridors that lead to a spacious hall in the center, with a beautifully carved fountain in the center and high ceilings reaching the top floor. On the first floor, there are still many people in suits and some also covered in overcoats, walking around and carrying attache case bags.

Daganzo walked towards the open hallway railing before him, then leaned his body forward on the railing. Daganzo looked at the first-floor view below while looking lost in thought.

 

“After the wizarding world war that just passed, caused by the “Black Sword” organization that wanted to take control of the wizards' government to encourage all the wizards to go to war with the humans, we can feel quite at ease now. For thousands of years, the wizards lived side by side with humans without them realizing that we existed. I still often doubt why the wizards' government has strict laws for us not to reveal the wizard’s existence. Is it because we don’t want to interfere in human affairs, or… because we fear humans presence?”

 

Daganzo came to his senses, looked towards the first floor of the building, then looked up at the ceiling of the building on the 90th floor. There are also several large TVs attached to the front of the open hallway’s metal railing, showing news about Black Star and various news programs that convey the situation in the human world.

Daganzo’s attention turned to the news on TV, which showed a skyscraper that was destroyed and billowing black smoke in many parts because it had just been attacked by someone called Black Star, which turned out to be a disguised building of a military fortress armed with heavy weapons such as rail guns, rotary cannons, and the missile launchers which is now in disrepair conditions. The news also showed the Pentagon’s condition, which was damaged in several parts due to the fight between Cloaked Man and Black Star (Note: please read G.O.DS novel to learn more about it). The news showed dozens of fighter jets flying on standby in the sky where Black Star launched his attacks. A female newscaster said.

“After attacking the disguised building of a military fortress skyscrapers a few days ago, Black Star announced that he was releasing the Pentagon as a hostage but would not stop his actions.”

The news on TV then showed Black Star’s battlecarrier starships fleet shaped like three black hovering skyscrapers, flying away from the area around the Pentagon, getting higher and higher until finally, they were no longer visible in the cloudy blue sky. Daganzo thought.

“Who knows what Black Star will do if he finds out about the wizards’ existence.”

Not long after, Daganzo’s smartphone rang; he took it out of his overcoat's inner pocket. Daganzo’s screen displayed “Prime Minister” as the contact name who called him. Daganzo was surprised as he thought.

“Why did the prime minister call me at this time?”

Daganzo answered this call.

“Yes, Mr. Prime Minister?”

A man’s voice was heard on Daganzo’s smartphone communication line.

“There’s something important I want to talk to you about. Can you meet me in my office?”

Daganzo’s expression turned curious.

“Of course, sir. I’ll be there immediately.”

They ended their respective call. Daganzo walked away from his place and headed towards one of the elevators with transparent glass walls located on the edge of the open hallway surrounding the open area in the center of the building with a high ceiling from the first floor to the top floor. Daganzo walked into the elevator and then pressed the button that said 90th floor. The elevator door closed and moved up.

While waiting for the elevator to reach its destination floor, Daganzo stood facing the glass wall with a view of the center of the building and saw the first floors were getting further away. Daganzo crossed his arms as he thought.

 

“The Wizards of First Earth accidentally discovered an ancient artifact called the “Book of dimensional Magic” after the wizards’ world war.” This book contains how to use spells related to dimensional magic. When our researchers tried it, the resulting magic created a gate that connected Earth to another Earth in another universe, and somehow, the magic continued and could not be broken. Since then, we had intruders from Earth in another universe, which we call the “Twin Realms.” So we made magical devices that can detect the presence from other universes, which we know how to make it from the same book. Just as we investigate other Earth connected to our Earth, they also do the same, trying to investigate our Earth. Even without us knowing now, maybe other gates to another Earth in another universe are already open….”
