It felt like I'd been walking for hours now, I was lost in this forest, I was lost in my thoughts. I felt numb, I felt cold, I felt insane,

“Hahaha” my shrill laughter rang through the tree’s as I began to lose my mind, what is this damned forest doing to me? I fell to my knees and laughed till everything hurt, I laughed till I lost my breath, I laughed at the cruel irony this world had thrown at me, I guess all those kids were right, I was a fools jester, an idiot, a mindless fool to believe that anyone would truly want to be around me, that anyone would truly care about me. 

I took in my surroundings, and spotted an old looking mansion in a nearby clearing, it looked as if it could fall apart at a moment's notice. I hardly cared though, I wanted to turn around, but I wouldn’t, I wanted to walk away, but I didn’t. I chuckled softly, walking towards the archaic building, the closer I got the more I felt like I was being watched, I brushed it off, pushing open the double doors to the mansion. 

“What is this place?” I asked, to no-one in particular, I felt eyes on me but i didn’t care,

Just how far was this guy willing to go before he lost his nerve?
