After doing a whole marathon (ten-minute walk), I arrived at Ellie's school to pick her up since Ollie couldn't. We talked about anime, food, crushes and other things; especially boring and embarrassing stuff. The thing with Ellie is that she isn't as critical as her brother, Ollie would tell you how he felt about someone or something, whether you want to hear it or not. Whereas, Ellie on the other hand, is the complete opposite to him whatsoever. Being home alone with an 8-year-old used to feel weird to me but, now I feel as if we have more in common than I would have ever thought. Since my parents weren't home yet and my sisters were still in their classes at university, it felt as if I was waiting a thousand years for Jackson and Ollie to arrive home. After what felt like six hundred years (4 hours) the door finally opened and out of it emerged the king of the house (Jackson) and then Ollie arrived just a few minutes after Jackson had arrived. FUCKING FINALLY!!!!
'Ace, do you have any homework to do?' JJ asked me as I walked past his room and he was sitting on his desk with a bunch of paperwork next to him.
'No, not today. But I will try and finish my coursework that Mrs Humphrey had given us to do.'
'Alright then, I will be leaving in a few minutes to go pick up your sister from her work. So you will be home with Ollie and Ellie until we get back, okay?'
'Yeah, that's fine by me.'
'Oh yes, before I forget, I received a call from Jessy and she said that she will be home late. So just make sure that you tell Jade if I forget. Which I probably will. Alright, I am off now. Don't do anything stupid while I'm away.' I nodded my head as he walked out of the door and headed to his car. Looking around the house, I sighed quietly and skipped my way back upstairs to my room to check my phone. Ellie's 'room' was next door to my room and, as I passed it, I poked my nosy head inside to see what she was doing. She was engrossed in the book that she was reading, and her body was sprawled out on the bed. In her ears, she had plugged in her wire earbuds and connected them to Ollie's phone. No idea if he knows, but that's not my problem. Walking away from her room, I opened the door to my room and unplugged my phone from where I had plugged it in when I had returned to the house. Once I had turned it on, I saw that I had an unread message from Mallisa (who had been my long-term crush for so long). My cheeks turned the same colour as my newly painted door, as I read his messages. I have had a crush on Malissa since childhood. I was shaken from my reality when I heard a knock on my bedroom door and Ollie emerging from the frame.
'What did she say.' He glanced knowingly at my phone
'None ya buisness, Mr Nosy.' Before long, the doorbell rang saving me from the awkward position.
Ace Kurston had never been told that he had a twin brother who was out there somewhere, so when he bumps into a mysterious boy named Jake he wants to get to the bottom of it.
Can his parents tell him the truth and how will he handle it without freaking out?
