The soldier slashes his sword vertically and it strikes my shoulder. However, the barrier around me became more visible as the sword touched it. The impact reflects back to the sword and it recoils back as much as it took to bring it down. He doesn't lose grip of the sword and his legs switch positions and swings sideways where he hits my torso. It recoils back again. Without missing a beat, he attacks me again but with the flat side of the sword, aiming at my head. The barrier activates again and reflects all the force back to him.
This time I see that he almost lost his grip. The soldier takes a step back, and I can hear him take in a deep breath. Then, a golden aura radiating from his hand starts enveloping his sword. I know of this. The soldiers of the sun are endowed by king Tezca himself his own aura. His magic. The blinding light of the sun. He holds the sword with both his hands while the aura fully shrouded the longsword. He attacks once more, targeting my sides.
I hadn't budged an inch since he tried slicing me away. But none of the attacks harmed me. I only felt the shock with each impact. This time however, I sensed real a threat. I want to run away but it is too late. The nearer the aura came, my body felt the heat. For the first time, I felt warmth since entering the village which burnt fiercely. I believed that this man was about to split me into two halves. The sword strikes and instead of recoiling, It pushed the barrier to my skin. The barrier which had stayed steady is now curving inwards due to the attack.
The soldier puts one foot forward and keeps pushing. My legs move to sides because of the pressure until he completely launched me to the ground. I am in agony. I shriek while clutching my side. There's no cut but I hadn't experienced such pain in my life. The man is not finished yet, he is in stance. I get up quickly and brace for another strike. But this I extend my hands to the sword which was aiming at my neck. I yell in despair as the sword which is still covered with aura is grasped in my hands.
It is painful. My hands were burning and the impact itself felt like it would shatter my bones but I gripped the longsword by its edges. The soldier keeps yanking the sword but I my strength was abnormal. I wouldn't move but with each yank my palms were slightly being sliced, the barrier is collapsing for the first time.
I disregarded the pain and grasped it with my tiny hands, and with my mouth wide open, I let out a feral scream. I shift my legs and mimic the same pose he used when he tossed me to the earth. I realized that I was stronger. I can overpower him. He kept squirming while he kept his grip on the hilt but I catch his eyes in shock through his helmet as I he gets lifted from ground. He releases the sword and attempts to grapple me but I spin around and with the flat side of the sword I strike him. My immense strength along with the aura of the sun flung the soldier into the air far away. I am transfixed on his image in the air until he smashed somehwere on the ground.
I lose track of what I held for a moment which kept scorching my hands away. I drop the thing and see my hands which were cut and burnt marks covered my whole palm. I cry and groan in pain that I fall on my knees. I look at the longsword lying and it was large. It's length was half of my body and I am sure the steel would weigh a lot too. But I didn't feel anything handling it. How am I doing all of this? What is going on with me?
