Your sister, are you sure she’ll find you, dear boy?"a voice drawled.
Elias nodded. If anyone could fit him in this place, wherever this place was,Elyn would be the only one.
“She’s my little sister; what other proof do I need?" The boy smiled, glancing at the captilian-like figure next to him.
"You have that much faith in her; plenty of humans have searched, but none have succeeded." The capillatar pointed out
Elias didn’t answer; he only shrugged with a small grin on his face.
The others didn’t matter. For years, Elias has watched Elyn slowly get closer to finding him.
"She'll find me and guide me back to Famuria,” Elias replied, staring at the catapillar, almost as if he’s challenging the creature.
Turning ever so slowly, the catipallar began to crawl away. They paused for a moment.
“I hope to meet her, boy.” The catipallar says crawling away.
The boy nodded as he watched the catapillar crawl away. Deep down, Elias knew Elyn would love to explore every crook and nanny in this world between Adamas and Famuria.
‘Are you sure?" A voice began, but Elias quickly shook his head.
He wasn’t going to admit that he has some self-doubt about going home; after all, who wouldn't? But Elias wanted to believe in his sister.
Sitting down, Elias appreciates the scene in front of him: pieces of land floating by like an unsolved puzzle begging to be completed.
The sweet, buttery goodness of the bread and the refreshing taste of the ale—this moment, this feeling of true joy—Elyn wanted to remember every moment of it. The voice was right; she didn’t want to admit so, but seeing Lillian was a much-needed gift.
“How’s your studying going?" Lillian asked, taking another sip of ale.
"Confusing." She admits opening the book to show the fae.
The runes were nothing like the ancient languages her grandfather taught her and Elias. If she had to guess, all other languages came from the runes, but how the languages evolved from that was the biggest question.
"Maybe Naaririel can help.” Lillian suggested as she fluttered towards the door.
Elyn knew she was right; maybe getting a second pair of eyes and a new mind was what
she needed. However, she wanted to solve this mystery on her own. Despite being overwhelmed, part of her was having fun, trying to solve each individual rune and see what words they could possibly make.
“I will later.” Elyn replied, getting up from her desk and joining Lilian at the door. Her grandfather always suggested getting a change of scenery if one was stuck on a particular problem.
"Remember, Elias, Elias, a breath of fresh air always makes the mind and body wonder." He said as the three of them went on their monthly nature walk.
Opening the door, the two leave the room. Taking a deep breath, Elyn takes the first step, with Lillian trailing behind her.
"Lily, where do you suggest we go first?" Elyn asked.
