Daebru wakes to a light knock on the door, "who...?" he sits up tiredly rubbing his eye and grimacing at the feeling wearing his chest piece to bed leaves, like a hunk of molasses weighs him down as he sits up in the bed.
"Mornin' mi'lady, I hope it's not too early for ya."
"Ah, Captain Vanguard, no, not at all. We have a mission to get to, give me a moment" he smiles sweetly at the man and feels a fluttering in his chest when the man smiles back.
"Timothy, please, you only need call me captain in formal company, same goes for my men" Daebru nods at him, "I'll be just outside the door" the man nods stepping back out of the room.
Daebru throws the blanket off and sighs down at himself before falling back onto the bed for a moment, stupid body... he growls at the pulsing sensation between his thighs, glad that Timothy isn't one to just come in throw blankets off someone to wake them up in the wee hours of the day, "You'll raise many questions one of these days ... or get me killed ... stupid morning bullshit."
He gets up looking around the room as he almost painfully tucking his rulely member and puts on pants and a few sashes and belts before stepping out of the room. Sune had explained to him that this morning occurrence was normal for men of his age, but it didn't make it any less awkward when he was trying so hard to live life as a woman. His voice had even started cracking every now and then or dipping to low for his liking.
"This way," Timothy nods towards the bow of the ship, "know anything about workin on a ship?"
"Not really, why?"
Timothy flashes him a smile, "If they catch ya staring at them, they'll come on board and slit yer throat, so we pretend ta be prepping for taking off later today, and we watch. Since there's no shadow for you to hide in on my ship"
"Shadows?" Daberu pauses falling behind a bit, "What are you talking about?"
"Apologies, I believed ya ta be a Kayal, was I wrong?"
"Oh... no, you're not wrong, just that no one really seems to know that I'm not human, or they don't act like they do."
"I hope I didn't throw ya too far off mi'lady" he smiles a crooked smile that only shows a few teeth, gods why is he so... fuck what in the nine hells is wrong with me!? I can't... can't do this ... not again...
"Ah... no, not much" glad his voice didn't waver with the uncertainty floating around in his mind about the man.
"Good," he starts messing with the ropes at the front of the ship, "Two men with a crate, over me left shoulder, one's in red the other in blue an white, big burly, the kind o' men that would break just about everyone"
"I see them," Daebru smirks a bit, "they break everyone huh?"
"Yea.. broke me nose just last week they did. Was too close ta one o' their crates."
"I thought you said they'd slit one's throat for looking too hard..?"
"I wasn't lookin, just ... um a wee bit drunk was all"
"Surely not you" Daebru gave him a side eye while wrapping the rope on the other side as close to how Timothy was wrapping his.
Timothy came over, putting a hand over Daebru's, "Yer really gonna go after them?"
"Yes, that is the plan. To put a stop to all of this."
"You'll be here a while then, These are just two of the guys, the other six should come in pairs over the next few days, and then ..."
"The auction?" Daebru studies his face for a bit, "Were you ever invited?"
"I ... no, but my brother was, he owns a high end place, that does a lot o' research on portals and whatnot, he never went though if you're thinkin he might be with them" Timothy stands like a challenge against the accusation that didn't have a chance to even fully pass through Daebru's mind.
"No, I suppose with a brother like you it'd be hard to believe anyone in your family would buy slaves."
Timothy's cheeks flush a bit, "right, o' course," he leans over to undo the rope that Daebru had just wound up, "not tight enough for sea travel," he commented about the rope, "I did see tha invitation though, before Magni burned it. It made note o' an island not far from shore, one can use a rowboat ta get out ta it, an as far as I can tell they still use it."
Daebru nods slowly, "Thank you, for helping in this matter, I'll not ask more of you than necessary."
"I'm sure you'll see it that way," he chuckles at Daebru's furrowed brow, "I'd be willin ta do a lot to put a stop to this mess. Enslavin people ain't right, an I want ta stop it, I just didn' expect any help to come."
"You were going to try to stop it on your own?" Timothy nodded, "That would not have been wise Ca- Timothy," he corrected when he got a look from the man, "I have people in place here, looking as well. Ready to strike, they just need the information you've got, that's it," Daebru stilled as the other man reaches up to tuck a lock of hair behind his ear.
"I want ta help, in any way I can," Timothy stares at Daebru for a few moments before pulling away, muttering something under his breath that Daebru didn't catch.
"I'm sorry?"
"It's nothin, it was ... it feels like lifetimes ago," he shakes his head, "don't worry bout it, Haaru."
Like honey whispering the pleasures that could be had, the desire for more ... but what could more be, what is he even talking about, rambling like that and making me ache ... damn my body... Daebru turns away from the man trying to get the rope as tight as he can, trying to focus on anything but the feeling that well up inside of him wishing to escape in a tidal wave.
[Fun Fact: Timothy is 19 at this point in time, one of the youngest Captain's in the sea, and considered a pirate. He has been sailing since he was 8 years old, and became Captain of the Widow's Folly when he was 14 years old. The crew liked him and the previous captain considered him a son.]
