This story features graphic depictions of child abuse and teen torture, along with graphic tellings of child molestation and rape. This story also covers heavy topics such as addiction, domestic violence, mental health and suicide. I have provided some sources in the Afterward for your information. There are also slurs used that are offensive and may make the reader very uncomfortable. Please note, I didn’t enjoy writing them but they were necessary to the character’s point of view that uses them, twisted as it is. 

I have made no attempt to sugarcoat anything in this book that deals in real life issues, such as mental health and social disorders, abuse, homophobia, child molestation, rape, etc. The situation I placed one of our main characters in is an exaggerated, fictional example of child abuse; however, the reality is it may actually not be. 

If you have a legitimate reason to suspect child abuse, child molestation, or rape, please report it to the proper authorities. 

This story is not about two gay teens…this is a story about two people in love and the experiences that shape them and their relationship. It’s actually a very happy story, if I’m honest! But there are heavy topics that are addressed and may be upsetting to certain people. If you feel you are in that group, please put this book down and find something else. However, if you’d like to read a story about love and family, please read on!
