Mother Richita Orphanage is the main orphanage of Shellville that gets at least 2 orphans every 2 months, and most are below 10 years old. Near the entrance of the orphanage 3 kids below the age of 13 from the orphanage were surrounded and being bullied by 3 kids all 13. One of the orphans, Kevin, a 12-year-old boy with brown hair, was protecting the other orphans from the bullies.
“Come on… is that all… you got?” Kevin said with some bruises on his body.”
“Kevin stop!” Yelled Jake who is one of the orphans.” You’re covered in bruises… and you’re struggling to stand. Please give up.”
“Yeah, you aren’t fooling us with that tough guy act” said Tom who was one of the bullies.
“Tom please leave us alone” wept Tom.
Tom replied saying “We’re just disciplining you guys for not having respect for your elders.”
” Bullshit…” whispered Kevin.
Tom got closer to Kevin “Huh?! What did you say brat?”
“I… said… BULLSHIT! You’re using that as an excuse to pick on people younger and weaker you.”
Tom was pissed “Why you…!” As he was about to punch Kevin, he stopped and gave a wicked grin. “Speaking of excuses, I heard something about a kid who tried to help their parents when they were being robbed, but only got in the ways and their parents died because of it and to consul himself he gave an ‘excuse’ that outcome would be the same if he didn’t intervene.”
Kevin froze in shock and realized Tom was talking about him. He quickly charged at him enraged but Tom quickly countered and pinned him on the floor.
With an evil grin Tom said to Kevin “Aw is he gonna cry?”
While trying to get out the pin, Kevin landed a blow on Tom, but he just more pissed and started punching Kevin as if he were possessed. Kevin was using his hands to fend off his punches, but Tom used his knees to pin down his arms.
Tom looked down on Kevin with a sadistic look on his face as he was getting ready to land his punch.
The other orphans wanted to rush out and help Kevin, but the other 2 bullies were holding them back.
“Good night! Kevin!” said Tom.
But before Tom could land the punch, someone stopped his hand in the nick of time. Tom looked over his shoulder to see who it was and someone older than him with dark hair and wearing a hoodie with an angered look on his face.
“Daemon!” yelled by one of the orphans.
Daemon slowly approached where the two kids were fighting. Kevin looked towards Tom and saw his face riddled with fear. He slowly let Kevin go and rose to his feet.
“U-um…Daemon, y-you see… um, i-it’s not what looks like.”
Everyone else just saw Daemon walking towards them but to Tom it was like seeing a monster.
Once Daemon got close enough to Tom, he looked into his and told him “Run”.
Tom peed himself at that moment and ran of crying, and the two other pre-teens follow him.
“Yeah… You better run.” said Kevin trying to save face. You guys are so luck Daemon should up, or I would have ripped you guys a new- “
Suddenly, Kevin felt chills and saw Daemon had a menacing look on his face. He saw Dameon’s moving towards him, and he suddenly thought his life was in danger.
Daemon put his hand on Kevin’s head and released a sigh “You guys keep going on and picking fights against guys older than you.”
“That idiot Tom is the one always looking for trouble, plus he was making fun of Arthur of what happen to his parents…”
Dante tightened his fist.
“I couldn’t let that-”
“I understand… Thank you guys for Arthur that much… but please call one of the orphan mothers next time.”
“We’ll try to remember.” Kevin said as he slimed. But what are you doing here at this time? I thought you have for police training around this time?”
“I forgot something. Just came to pick it up and head to the station.”
“Alright. Remember when you become a police officer, I get to drive your police car once in a while..”
“Ha. Keep dreaming.”
After he got what he forgot, he waved the kids goodbye and started heading towards the police station.
Night fell and Daemon was on his way home. He passed through a district that was usually didn’t have people roaming around at night, but Daemon noticed the area was unusually eerie. Daemon was suddenly knocked over. He looked around but saw nothing. Then he started hearing small murmurs that quickly became louder and louder saying “I don’t want to die.” Chills ran through Daemon’s body, and he started looking around he couldn’t find any near him, but he knew the voice the heard was nearby. He heard the voice again and noticed it was coming from near his feet. He at first still didn’t see anything near his feet but he started seeing a guy in a dark attire slowly appearing on the ground out of thin air. Daemon quickly noticed he was badly injured, and some parts of his body was pitch back and seemed to be precipitating.
“Hey, hang in there I’m going to call an ambulance” Daemon said to the mysterious man.
‘R-run!” said the mysterious man to Daemon.
Before Daemon could even register a thought, he was forcefully sent flying into a wall behind him. He was sent flying so hard he coughed out blood. Daemon was in pain as well as confused on what happened. His eyes looked at the man on the ground and was shocked by what he saw. He was an eerie dark practically shapeless creature with pitch black eyes which kind of resembled what killed Daemon’s mother.
“So, I wasn’t imagining what I saw that day…” Daemon said to himself while laughing sadistically.
Jake noticed the creature’s attention was fixed on the man like a predator locked on its prey.
“Hey!” Daemon said to the creature trying to converse with it, but it was still locked on the man. “I know you can hear me. The other one was capable of talking, so you should be- “
The creature started devouring the man on the floor. Daemon, ignoring how much pain he was in, rushed over to where the man was. The creature quickly stopped devouring and turned its attention to Daemon. Dark tendrils launched out the creature’s body and quickly wrapped around Daemon’s body. Daemon was completely immobilized, and suddenly memories of his mom dying, the awful treatment he got from people in his past and a warped memory of James looking sad depressed while hanging out with him started flooding his mind. In the process negative emotions were starting to build up and he could fell himself getting weaker. His consciousness was starting to fade, and the creature was about to easily devour him.
Maybe it’s for the best if I die. I know the kids still fear me deep down, and it would be best if James stopped being my friend out of pity and hang out with other people…
Before he completely blacked out, he started to remember what his mother said to him “For a young kid, you aren’t easily influenced by others, which is a really cool trait to have…”
Yeah… that’s right… I never really cared what other thought… and there’s no way no monster like you is gonna change that about me…
Daemon regained full consciousness and tried to free himself once more. He fought back one last time until finally he freed himself. As he freed himself, he got some distance between him and the creature.
While panting heavily he looked at the creature and said “Bring it on you… ugly bastard…”
Daemon immediately noticed the creature demeanor changed. It started to look more vicious. Before Daemon could try a make a move, the creature’s tendrils blitzed him and was about to attack him.
The next thing Daemon saw was the creature screaming in pain as its tendrils was cut. He was confused by what happened then he saw another man in a black priest like attire similar to the man on the ground. Before Daemon could say anything he noticed the man in front of him is as tall as he is, and he had blond hair. He didn’t want to jump to conclusions at first but as soon as he saw the man’s face hos suspicions were confirmed.
“James… what are you doing?”
“What I’m doing here? It should be obvious, saving your sorry ass.”
Daemon looking straight James still couldn’t believe he was right in front of him. Before any words were said, the creature tried to attack James with its tendrils, but in the blink of an eye they were cut again.
“Excuse me for a sec while I deal with it.” James said to Daemon calmly.
The creature screamed in pain and in anger. It was about to attack James, but it lost track of him.
James appeared beside the creature and said, “Wow you must be in serious pain.”
“When did he get there?” Daemon said as he too lost track of him.
The creature started launching its tendrils at James, but he just kept playfully dodging them. James then caught one of its tendrils, used it to pull the creature closer to him and sent it flying inti a nearby building with a kick. The emerged from the rubble enraged and started lashing out its tendrils in all direction. James continued to easily dodge, but noticed Daemon was about to get hit. He appeared in front of Daemon before he was attacked and once again caught its tendrils. His attitude from playful to serious. He pulled the creature towards him once more but this time his striking hand was coated with yellow aura. He landed a punch so powerful on the creature Daemon could feel the impact from the wind pressure. The creature started to disintegrate and vanish into thin air. Before Daemon took a sigh of relief he remembered the man from who has been on the ground. He quickly rushed to the man and saw he was on the verge of death.
“Hey sir hang in there. The creature has been killed and we’ll get you some hel- “
James interrupted Daemon and said, “There’s no helping him.”
“What do you mean by that?” Daemon asked.
James walked up to the man and stood next to his side.
The man saw James and said with his dying breath, “I’m… sorry. I… fail… and… ran… putting… people… in danger.”
As the man talked, James sees a pitch-black aura, which covered majority of his body slowly spreading further.
“It’s ok.” James said. “Now you can rest solider.”
As he said that yellow aura again surrounded his hand again.
Daemon looking concerned and confused asked James “What you about to do?”
James replied, “Sending him off.”
“Thank… you… Sir.” The man said as tears shed from his eyes.
James swiftly launched his hand through the man’s chest, crushing his heart.
Daemon fell to the ground shocked and mortified by what James had just done. He quickly pulled himself together and confronted James enraged.
“WHY THE HELL DID YOU KILL HIM?!” Daemon yelled at James, but he stood quiet giving no response.
“COMMON ANSWER ME! DON’T JUST STAND THERE LIKE A STATUE AND ANSWER ME DAMN IT!”
James let out a sigh and said, “I would be pointless answering your questions when you’re just gonna forget this ever happened. Just sit down and let me heal you before you die.”
“One, how the hell can you expect anyone to forget some like this never happened?! And second, what do you mean ‘let me heal you before you die.’?”
James froze in his tracks. Wait so the fact he’s still conscious isn’t because of adrenaline?! James thought to himself.
He then asked James to confirm “Are you sure you have no life-threatening injuries?”
Daemon looked round his body and saw no potentially fatal injuries on his body.
“I get you’re concerned about me, but you still haven’t answered my- “
Daemon saw that James completely stood still in shock by what he told him.
James regained to composure, looked at James and said to him “Daemon… it seems your life ends here…”
