“Nmh, Ugh.”
Groggily waking up, I rub my eyes and sit up. Glancing over, I see Harmony still snoozing, breathing away peacefully. Stroking her hair a little, I grin to myself about how lucky I am. After a quick forehead kiss, I slip out of bed.
Grabbing a nearby t-shirt to cover my naked body, I saunter out of the room and into the kitchen.
Reaching into the cupboard for my favourite cereal, I empty some into a bowl, leaving the box on the counter before then hitting up the fridge for some milk. "Really should cut down on this sugar... Not today, though." Smirking to myself as I grab a spoon and lean on the kitchen counter like it's my temporary throne. Munching on the cereal, I think out loud, "I should probably get a move on soon-ish." I've got a debrief with the Chief about the last case.
Finishing up my cereal, I rinse the bowl and leave it to air dry. Back in our room, Harmony is sitting up.
"Oh, sorry, did I wake you, hon?"
"Nah, I needed to get up anyway."
"Ah, good." Harmony motions for me to come closer, which I do.
She runs her fingers over my abdominal muscles beneath my shirt. A blush starts to creep up, but I swiftly regain my composure.
"Can you not?"
I attempt to sound reserved, but it’s a tough act to keep up with a woman like Harmony in your bed.
"Kiss me and I'll think about it."
All I can do is smile and do as I’m told. We share a brief kiss before parting.
"Tastes like cereal. Now I want a bowl."
"Ha. I had a feeling. Left the box out for you, I’m gonna go jump in the shower."
"You know me so well."
As I walk into the bathroom, Harm lightly slaps my ass and makes a cat growling sound.
"You’re like a randy old man sometimes, you know that?" Chuckling, I walk into the bathroom.
"So firm though!"
I can hear her laugh from the other side of the door as I close it behind me.
"Want me to put the coffee on?" she asks, from the opposite side of the door.
"Yeah. Thanks babe."
"Anything for you, my love."

Strolling into the living room, I point at the television to turn it on while heading to the kitchen to start the coffee machine. After refilling the machine and grabbing a bowl from the shelf, I prepare myself a bowl of cereal. Clicking my fingers, my laptop wakes up from sleep mode and I turn on the coffee machine.
"Just open up the word processor... there we go."
My word processing program opens up, and I begin typing while taking my bowl into the living room to sit down and eat.
“Oooh, sugar,” I think to myself, happily munching on my cereal. It has a nice crunch to it, and the milk-to-cereal ratio is spot on. 10/10.
A few minutes later, I finish and place the empty bowl on the table. Suzanna walks into the living room wearing one of her work suits – dark blue with trousers with an unbuttoned shirt.
Very sexy.
As much as I want to jump her right now, we also have rent to pay, sooo…
"Ah, that smells good."
She says as she enters the kitchen and pours coffee into a travel mug.
"What time are you at work today, babe?" Sue asks, joining me in the living room.
"I’m working from home today. Going to need to head out a bit though, to run some errands." Smiling at her, I ask, "What time are you back?"
"Probably 9? Depends."
"I'll cook. I should be back by then."
"Aw, thanks hon, can't wait. See you later, Love you."
Suzanna kisses me on the lips, then turns to leave.
"Love you too, sweetie.”

Exiting the apartment and closing the door behind me, I pull the handle up before locking it with my key and placing it in my pocket. Cracking my neck, I walk down the hall to the elevator and press the button.
Good, it's already on this floor.
After walking past the entrance and pressing the button for the ground floor, and then leaning on the wall of the elevator, I glance at the floor indicator. We live on the top floor of this 3-floor apartment complex, so the elevator doesn't have far to go. Annoyingly, though, it's not particularly fast.
Can’t help but roll my eyes.
“They should really do something about this damn thing's speed. Ah well, at least it works." I mutter this to no one in particular.
The elevator opens with a ding, and I exit, placing my hand into my pocket and finding my car keys. Pulling them out and pressing the button, my car's headlights flicker twice, indicating the car is unlocked.
I do like this car. Medium-sized, dark blue. I might have gotten a promotion, but I’m not irresponsible enough to buy a brand new one. This ones done me well for a few years now.
I approach the parked car, opening the driver-side door, and get inside. After placing the key into the ignition, I start the car, and begin my daily commute to work.
