The room was silent after those words. Tadeo took his things and left the classroom without looking back. Raul was astonished, when he saw him leaving, he took his things and ran after him. I did not understand what had just happened, what could be the reason behind the words spoken by Tadeo. Raul kept moving until he saw Tadeo in front of his office. I shout at him as he stopped abruptly at his side, I breathe softly and look up. Tadeo with cold eyes and a serious voice 'What I said in the classroom also applies to you young Raul' before entering your office and closing the door behind him. Tadeo managed to hear Raúl cry before leaving. 'This is the best,' he said, 'Raul will be fine' as his face filled with frustration and pain.
After the scene at the door of Tadeo’s office, Raúl went crying to his house and did not leave his room until the next morning. Although he wanted to lock himself in his room and never go out again, Raúl knew that was not an option. Reluctantly he got up from his bed, prepared and went to the university.
Tadeo had arrived earlier trying to avoid talking to the other teachers about what happened the day before and at the same time finding a place away from the students. I manage to find a small warehouse on the top floor. Tired of everything he settled near the small sale of that place thinking of the dedicated student who was always present and committed to his studies, whom he tried to protect while away. It hurt enormously that their future interactions would be limited to the class, but I thought it was best.
However, the noise outside the window showed him his big mistake. In the entrance was a large group of students making a circle around Raúl who with his eyes lowered just held his backpack in front of him while they shouted and pushed. Tadeo from his hideout was filled with concern for what was going on, but was unable to move a single muscle. Meanwhile Raul still hurt by the words of Tadeo, receiving the aggressiveness of all those who blamed him for what happened. And it was when they tried to take his backpack, that his docile attitude disappeared. He started a strong fight that ended with everyone involved in the principal’s office while Tadeo kept his distance.
Raul was the last to pass with the director. I explain the situation in detail, from his talks with Professor Tadeo to broaden his knowledge, to the announcement yesterday that had provoked the fight today. The director, a 75-year-old man with a firm look, listened attentively and before starting to speak asked to bring him the recordings of the places and dates that Raúl had mentioned. Minutes later the director confirmed the words of Raúl, he apologized fervently; I mention that he had noticed that before the event yesterday, Raúl had a good relationship with Professor Tadeo, so he asked her to mediate the situation to improve the environment in the institution. Contrary to what the director expected, Raúl refused to talk again with Tadeo, they indicate that he had made it clear that he only wanted a student teacher relationship with all those who attended classes. The principal understood his position and asked his permission to then find a way to fix the situation and again provide a warm atmosphere for all students. Raúl informed him that as long as he did not make him talk to Tadeo he would be willing to accept any plan he had.
It was time for Tadeo’s class, and Raúl entered the classroom as if nothing had happened, sitting in his usual place waiting for the red-haired man to enter. What a surprise to see the director’s secretary walk through the door. 'Starting today and for a week instead of coming to class, will have the opportunity to prove that they have correctly acquired the knowledge transmitted by Professor Tadeo. Each one will be assigned a group of 2 high school students and 2 master’s students to whom they will give classes. Make sure to do a good job because of will depend on your qualification. Withdraw in order, On the way out you will find a box from which you will get the name and contact form of your 4 students. Excellent week' The secretary said while extending a hand indicating the place of the box. They all stopped and gradually took their respective roles. Raul rose from his place, but before being able to go for his role the secretary cried out 'Young Raul in his case, because of the morning situation, you will not be allowed to enter the draw like the others. Please go to the principal’s office to be assigned your student group'.
Between murmurs and laughter Raúl made his way out of the classroom and went to the principal’s office. Although the comments of his colleagues should alter Raúl he only thought if this would be part of what the director considered best to return the good atmosphere to the university.
For his part Tadeo had been called early to the principal’s office and had been kept there while the secretary was in charge of giving notice to his students of what would happen the next week. 'Tadeo, I’ve known you since you were a child' began the director 'Could you explain to me why you are acting this way?' he said with noticeable concern in his voice. 'Mr. Cortez, I don’t see how setting boundaries with my students would be something I have to worry about,' Tadeo said emphatically. The white-haired man hardened his amber-colored gaze and said in a stern tone 'Perhaps not for you, but as director of this institution I must take as a problem any situation that affects negatively, so from this moment on you are suspended, retreat from the premises and don’t come back for a week'. The emerald eyes opened like two plates as he stood fiercely to replicate, but with a glance at the small, thin man in front of him who gave him a cold look, he stopped and walked to the door. 'I hope you know what you’re doing' Tadeo growled at the director as he opened the door. As he stepped forward, he felt his chest bump into something and a faint groan was heard. He stretched his body as he looked down slightly to see Raul rubbing his nose because of the crash.
