“We should look for the Dimensional Gate in this city.”
Alton was slightly surprised.
“What about the experiment for the magic spells in that book?”
Furano divided her attention towards the front and Alton.
“The magic in this book falls under the black magic category, which has the possibility of danger. I will learn more about it first at Third Earth before using it.”
Alton was surprised.
“What if we try it now? The First Earth wizards seem to have proven that some of the magic spells in that book is safe to do, right?”
Alton looked hopeful. Furano was slightly surprised; she then smiled.
“You’re right, lets try it.”
After riding their broomsticks for some time flew across the city, they arrived at a quiet pedestrian road on the side of the river, with a row of lamp posts in the middle and benches lined up at a regular distance. They landed and got off their broomsticks. Furano looked around, and other people were a long distance away.
“Okay, we can try dimensional magic here.”
Alton nodded, his expression turned curious. Furano took out her book copy from behind her cloak and opened it to the page with a picture of a magic circle.
“According to the instructions in this book, I must first become the owner of this book.”
Alton nodded; he then crossed his arms while watching Furano curiously. Furano bit her thumb, and blood dripped down from her thumb. Furano then smeared her blood on the surface of the magic circle in this book. This magic circle then glows red momentarily and fades back to black.
“It seems I have managed to gain ownership of this book?”
Alton looked confused.
"The reaction just now might indicate that you have become the owner of the book?"
Furano looked at Alton with a slightly doubtful expression.
“There is only one way to be sure. I will try using the magic spells in this book.”
Alton was slightly surprised. Furano flipped through the pages of this book again and skimmed them.
"Okay, the first magic spell should be the safest to do."
Furano concentrated.
“With the power of dimensional magic accompanying me now. When I say the dimensional gates will connect the Earths, a gate will appear.”
Not long after, a small wind blast centered on this book and spread in all directions momentarily, and another page opened by itself, surprising Furano. Seeing what was happening, Alton immediately walked closer to Furano.
"What happened? Does this indicate that the magic was successful?"
Furano's expression turned doubtful; she then showed Alton the page she was reading. Alton joined in reading this page of the book:
“Dimensional magic are being used by the wizard from more than one Earth. Magical adjustments need to be made, the dimensional gates will temporarily close and dimensional-related magic cannot be used until adjustments are completed.”
Alton was surprised to read this.
“Dimensional gates closed? Does this mean we are trapped in First Earth?”
Furano's expression showed that she was disturbed by this.
“It seems so, but we won't really know until we check it.”
Alton nodded.
“You’re right. We must leave First Earth immediately while we still have the chance.”
Furano appeared to remember something; she then fell silent in thought.
“I can use Safe Town Portal Medallion with Alton. But unfortunately, that place is currently beyond the Black Cloak Organization’s control….”
Furano appeared lost in thought. Alton watched Furano curiously.
"Should we go now, Furano?"
Furano came to her senses and then nodded.
"Right, it will be closer if we check the Dimensional Gate here."
Alton nodded.
“Good idea, but it would be dangerous for us to look for it ourselves. The First Earth wizards must be looking for us now.”
Furano appeared to remember something.
“I'm offered one of the First Earth wizards to cooperate. If he agrees, it will be easier for us to get information.”
Alton was slightly surprised, then nodded.
“Okay, what should we do now?”
Furano was silent in thought momentarily while crossing her arms.
“Because I don't know if he will cooperate or not, we better try to find the nearest Dimensional Gate’s location ourselves, beginning from this city for the time being."
Alton was surprised.
“But, how are we going to find the gate?”
Furano was slightly surprised; she then fell silent in thought.
“Dimensional Gate must have enormous and unusual magical energy. I might be able to sense it using my sense points from the system, but I shouldn't just tell Alton....”
Furano answered.
“I mastered magic that might be able to detect the presence of that gate.”
Alton was surprised.
“So there is magic like that? Can you teach me too?”
Furano was slightly surprised.
"Unfortunately, this magic can only be used by a few people who happen to have that ability."
Alton looked slightly confused.
"Ability? How to use it?"
Furano was slightly surprised.
“We just need to go around this city, if the gate comes within the range of my magical ability, I will find out immediately.”
Alton looked confused; he then nodded.
"Okay, I understand. Let's look for the gate.”
Furano smiled; she then nodded.
“Okay, don't forget to stay alert. First Earth wizards might be patrolling around the city.”
Alton nodded.
"I understand, leave it to me."
They then got on their respective broomsticks and flew away from here.
Wizards Government of Spain, central building.
Go back to some time before. Daganzo and Heulva rode flying broomsticks to get through the maze. Daganzo flew without having to control his broomstick, quickly darting through the maze that was almost impossible to pass without the help of this broomstick. Sometime later, they exited the maze gateway opposite each other and returned to the hall where the maze entrance gateways were located. They got off their respective broomsticks and walked to the hall's center. Daganzo's expression turned curious.
“What plan should we do now?”
Huelva drew his sword from its scabbard attached to the baldric around his waist as he answered.
"I will report it to the Department of Defense so that they can act immediately."
Daganzo nodded. Huelva pointed his sword at this hall’s ceiling.
“Open the locked gate, sixth eye.”
The ceiling of this hall began to change back into the water below the fountain on the floor above the hall, starting from the center of the ceiling and continuing to expand rapidly until it finally formed a full circle with the same diameter as the fountain. Daganzo's expression changed in astonishment.
"What do we do after we report it?”
Huelva turned to Daganzo with an astonished expression.
“Nothing, we can only wait."
Daganzo was surprised.
“I don't understand what you mean by nothing, sir."
Huelva's expression turned deadpan.
“Unfortunately, this is not our duty as a Scout Division. Our duty is to protect the Book of Dimensional Magic, ward off threats from Second Earth and investigate.”
Daganzo crossed his arms.
"Couldn't what happened just now be related to our investigation on Second Earth?"
Huelva smiled and then patted Daganzo's shoulder.
“That’s right. But for now, we can only wait for orders if necessary.”
Huelva withdrew his hand from Daganzo's shoulder. Daganzo nodded.
“I understand, sir.”
Huelva nodded; he then pointed his sword to the water gate on the ceiling and called his broomstick. Daganzo then also did the same. Their broomsticks flew through the water ceiling and caused splashes, but they did not get wet at all. Daganzo and Huelva sheathed their swords into scabbards attached to the baldric around their waists, then got on their respective broomsticks and flew through the water ceiling above them. The water on the ceiling then shrinks quickly until finally, it returns to a normal ceiling.
On the first floor, Daganzo and Huelva flew out of the fountain and made a splash that shocked people who happened to be passing by the fountain, but their bodies didn't get wet at all. They flew higher in opposite directions, and Daganzo flew back to the 50th floor.
Daganzo arrived at the 50th floor; he landed on the open hallway and got off his broomstick, then walked with accelerated steps towards the waiting room where the co-leader of the Scout Division was; he was still sitting in his place, reading a book with a deadpan expression. Daganzo walked over to the co-leader and stood not far before him.
“I want to report something important, sir. When me and Mr. Huelva visited the book of Dimensional Magic storage room, suddenly new writing appeared on the back cover of the book.”
The co-leader turned to Daganzo and then nodded.
“I already knew it. Information like that will reach the Leaders of each Division first.”
Daganzo's expression turned curious.
"Then what should we do, sir?"
The Co-leader's expression turned serious.
"Actually, this is quite a dangerous situation considering that communication with our comrades carrying out Scout missions on Second Earth has been lost. You're lucky this happened before you went there.”
