How do you forgive someone, the person you loved with all your heart, after they did something so cruel and horrid to you? Something that now leaves such a bad scar on you for the rest of your life, damage you can't easily heal, undo or just get rid of.
And what do you do when that very person was the monster who murdered your friend? the person who willingly lead your other friends and yourself to your death just to trigger some stupid curse?
Where does the line even stand with that person after they so such a horrible thing?
And what do you do if that horrid monster... was the very person you were in love with?
Wiccan's Heal Shoppe, Perible, England, Mid
Thursday, 22nd December
11:48am
Blake, Faith, Holly and Crescent, a cat that has now been refusing to leave Holly's side, stepped into the shop and headed into the back, immediately meeting Euanthe as she stirred a boiling pot. As soon as she saw them, she immediately made Faith take over the pot stirring whilst Euanthe made Holly sit down in a chair she had dragged over to the counter just a few minutes ago, before looking the girl over.
"The cuts were made with a small kitchen knife, they'll heal without scarring" Euanthe stated, standing up and thinking for a moment "But I'd still like to do the Cumdetheum potion to see if there's any further damage" she stated, stepping over to the pot and taking over Faith's stirring as Blake raised a brow "Further damage?" he questioned. "Vixen cut her up a little, that we can see, but we don't know if he's poisoned or injected her with something" Euanthe explained "I only assume that since he had access to witch medicine books I lent to Holly, if he has been using them to create an elixir to control his dazes, then he must've been working on other 'projects'" she continued as Holly's head lowered, gaze fully laying on the ground.
She had not spoken since yesterday.
She had gone back to Faith's room and stayed there.
She hasn't let anyone near her or try to treat her injuries- she had isolated herself and sat in her cousin's bedroom in absolute pain ever since.
Holly allowed Euanthe to take a strand of her hair and add it to the boiling pot and immediately, a soft pink bubbled out through the clear liquid within the pot. Euanthe was frozen stiff, staring wide-eyed into the pot as the front door of the shop slammed open and someone storm into the back area of the shop.
A woman of mid-length chocolate brown hair, penny brown eyes and ivory skin.
Holly's eyes shot wide as she lifted her head and backed up into the chair "Mum?!" she blurted out before the woman rushed over to her daughter, carefully hugging her "My baby girl" the woman nearly cried as Erik tiredly stepped into the shop's back area, joining everyone else whilst completely out of breath "What are you doing here?" "Who do you think tried stopping her at the realm gate?" Erik threw a question back at Blake. Crescent meowed, taking her place beside Holly's feet and immediately drawing the girl's mother's attention "Aw, is this your familiar?" the woman questioned as Holly nodded her head "Jocelyn" the woman lifted her head to Euanthe and her eyes narrowed to a horrid glare as she stood up "Mrs Smith, I-" "Save it, Drift" Jocelyn shutted down Blake. "My daughter was harmed under your care, I don't want to hear a fucking word from you" she hissed at Blake "Faith, I need you to take Holly upstairs" Euanthe instructed before leaning into the girl's ear "There is a white box under the bathroom sink, make her take the test in it" she told Faith who hesitantly helped Holly up onto her feet and head upstairs, Crescent closely following after them.
Euanthe turned back to Jocelyn "You need to calm down-" "Calm down? my daughter was attacked by the Grey Leader's fucking son" Jocelyn snapped "How did you even find out-" "My niece" she snapped again, cutting off Blake as she shot him a glare too "You promised me that Holly would be safe- she got fucking killed and turned into a hypnotic the first day in this realm!" Jocelyn continued. "My daughter called me that bloody night in fucking tears, apologising to me for 'stuffing up'- where the fuck were you when the kids turned?!" Jocelyn harshly questioned Blake whilst Erik quickly stepped between them "That's enough, he had no control of the situation" Erik told Jocelyn.
"He is a parent who's child has turned too" the devil prince reminded her "Attacking someone who has experienced the same loss of family... that is against your coven's code" "Drift is in the Prodigium Council, he is well aware of my coven's code" Jocelyn stated, glaring through Erik and right at Blake "Both Celine and our great ancestor, Dahlia, would agree with my actions" she stated. Blake's head fell yet Erik kept his place between the two "Jocelyn, you need to go, Holly is in good hands with me and Euanthe-" "No, I'm staying here with my daughter and niece" Jocelyn firmly stated, cutting off Erik "The witchlets will now be under my protection, not Drift's and especially not Euanthe's" the witch hissed. "What have I done to earn your anger-" "You can start with teaching my daughter and niece witchcraft without mine or my sister's permission" Jocelyn snapped at Euanthe "Following that up by not teaching them defensive spells first, then not teaching my half demon daughter how to use her new celestial abilities after becoming a hypnotic" the witch listed, not even bothering to look back at the demon princess. "You're not being fair, Jocelyn" Erik said "No, I'm being a mother and an aunt" Jocelyn told him "I will be staying in Mid until I can assure my daughter and niece's safety, and as a councilman, Blake will allow me to stay" she stated as the other three looked at her in confusion.
Holly stood at the bedroom's doorframe as Faith kneeled down in front of the sink's cabinets, opening them "Damn... your mum's really drumming it into them, isn't she?" Faith said as Holly glanced down at Crescent, watching the black cat protectively curl its tail around her leg "...why did you tell her?" Holly quietly questioned her cousin, being the first words she has spoken within twenty four hours. "If something happened to me, you would call my mum straight away, great grandma Tinella Havorn said that family must act together, especially the sisters" Faith recalled, searching through the cabinets "How good is a witch if she can't even do a spell?" "You held that rune once when we found out that Corey was possessed by-" "That doesn't count, I held the rune but didn't cast the whole spell" Holly stated. Faith sighed "You need to stop being so harsh on yourself-" Faith froze as she grabbed out the box and looked inside, eyes growing as wide as Euanthe's was earlier. "Holly..." her voice was faint as she pulled out one of the several identical things kept in the box and showing her cousin and immediately, Holly's heart dropped into the pit of her stomach as she started to tear up.
"What makes you think that I'm going to allow you to stay?" Blake questioned Jocelyn as she kept her glare on him "Because both you and Euanthe owe me" the witch stated whilst both Euanthe and Blake gave her confused looks "Owe you? for what?" Blake questioned again "O koqur ek uvad" Jocelyn simply recited, a white glowing ring appeared on both Euanthe and Blake's right wrists, resulting in them hissing and gasping in pain as the ring burned their skin. "Are you fucking crazy- the binding vow?" Erik snapped at Jocelyn "Both of them made the vows to me before my daughter and niece were born, it's not my fault they made the stupid decision to agree to a binding vow-" "Demanding they return the favour is stupid! calling on the vow to make them do it is horridly cruel" Erik cut the witch off "You're fucking hurting them!". And yet, the woman wouldn't call off her demand for the return of a favour as Blake and Euanthe's wrists continued to burn.
It was when Blake looked over to see Euanthe falling onto her knees, gripping her wrist in pain that he tightly closed his eyes "OKAY! I RETURN THE FAVOUR!" he yelled, gaining Jocelyn's attention once again. Blake lifted his gaze back to the witch "O koqur E rathirm" he recited "I'll help you stay with the girls in Mid... just leave her alone" Blake begged "...okay" the witch agreed and instantly, the white glowing rings vanished from both Euanthe and Blake's wrists, the two breathing in slight relief whilst Blake held his gaze with Jocelyn. "You were never this cruel" the man stated as Jocelyn nodded "Yes, but family must act together... and family will always come first for me" she told him.
Rihn Warden House, Ashmaine, England, Mid
Tom sat on his bed, wearing the forgotten hoodie as he looked out the window.
He still hasn't left his room yet he had finally stopped crying.
He thought wearing the hoodie would maybe make him feel the tiniest bit better... it didn't. It just made it a whole lot worse.
A light knock came from his bedroom door, followed by a voice "Tom? it's Edd... can I come in?" his friend gently asked from behind the door as Tom closed his eyes.
He can't ignore or avoid them forever.
"...y-yeah" Tom managed to answer, a cracked old sob breaking his voice, listening to his friend use a key to unlock the door. Edd stepped into the bedroom, closing the door behind himself and hesitantly walking over to Tom, sitting down beside him "You alright?" Edd asked, looking at Tom in deep worry and concern whilst Tom shook his head "...no, I'm not" he struggled to answer before Edd pulled him into a hug. "He's gone, Edd-" "Hey, it's okay" he tried to calm Tom down "Me and Matt are right here, you're not alone-" "I'm a demon..." the boy told the other as Edd froze up "...w-what?" "I'm a demon- half demon" Tom repeated himself, choking on a cry crawling up and out of his throat.
He told him... he finally told him.
"That's why Blake got you to move to Mid?... does Tord or Matt know-" "Only Tord" Tom answered as Edd still sat there, a little dumbfounded "He knew the whole time?" Edd questioned as the other boy nodded his head "He was the only one who could help me control it, I-...." Tom's voice faded a little.
"Sorry- what happened to your eyes?" Matt asked as all four boys continued to carry boxes into their new home "U-uh... well a witch kind of 'cursed' me" Tom lied "Oh, okay, and Blake thought it would be better for you to stay in the Mid Realm until they can find a cure for it" Edd guessed, one that Tom immediately agreed to...
"I wasn't cursed, a couple days before moving, my eyes randomly turned black" Tom admitted as his friend's brows frowned a little.
"I think it's better if you tell them the truth-" "What? that I'm a half demon freak?" Tom harshly questioned Tord "I don't even know what type of demon I am or which of my birth parents was a demon- I don't want to scare off the only friends I have" he told Tord who sighed "Okay, but... the truth will come out, just make sure it comes from you and no one else" he warned Tom...
"...he was right- I should've told you and Matt the truth at the very beginning-" "Hey, I understand why you didn't" Edd told his friend as Tom pulled away from him.
"You were scared about how we'd react, I get it, and it's completely fine" Edd assured him with a smile "I still see a friend in front of me, I would never see you as anything else" he continued as tears threatened Tom's eyes again "R-really?" "Yes, really" Edd nodded his head. Tom smiled through his tears whilst his head hung low "...I want him back" "Tord will come home, Tom, just... not for a while" Edd told him "He's a Red Army soldier now and he did say he was forced to leave by the army" "I know, but I still want him" Tom said. "For the first time in forever, I really want something and it's him" Tom stated, more tears rolling down his face whilst Edd pulled him back into a hug.
