Wiccan's Heal Shoppe, Perible, England, Mid
Euanthe followed Faith back upstairs after the girl and ran down to get her, Jocelyn heading up with them, and once they the second floor, they found Holly sitting just outside the bathroom door, crying and curled up into a ball.
"The test results?" Euanthe questioned Faith as Jocelyn ran over to her daughter, pulling the poor girl into her arms "...positive" Faith answered the princess as Euanthe sighed "I feared...". Jocelyn hugged Holly as the girl cried into her chest, hugging her mother tightly, Euanthe slowly stepped over and kneeled down beside the two "Holly, is there any details you can remember about last night?" the princess gently asked yet the girl shook her head, Jocelyn looking up at the other woman in worry "Euanthe?". "I didn't know Vixen was the Grey Leader's son, believe me" the demon princess started "But before, I knew who had cursed the 'Grey Leader's son'... the Light Spirit, 'Starlight'" Euanthe continued as Jocelyn's eyes widened in worry "If he had gotten any of the spirit's traits or abilities from the curse, he might've gotten the mind control ability- could've knocked Holly out cold with it to stage the entire event" she suggested. Euanthe's gaze drifted back over to the witch "Your family curse, is that still inheritable?" "Yes- an elder confirmed it years ago" Jocelyn answered as the demon princess breathed in slight relief, turning her attention back to Holly "Sweetheart, I know it's hard to hear or believe it... but you are pregnant" Euanthe carefully stated in a gentle voice as Holly choked through her sobs yet still listening to the woman. "Your mother's family curse is still in affect though, so currently, this is as far as it will go, it will not grow until you do as the curse asks" "Get it out" Holly told Euanthe "Cut the fucking thing out-" "Part of the family curse protects it, hon... we can't remove it" Jocelyn reminded her daughter.
Euanthe headed downstairs for a moment as Faith and Jocelyn helped Holly up to her feet and sit down in a proper chair, and when the demon princess returned, she placed a couple things down on the table in front of the poor girl.
"When you get home, I want you to immediately have a shower- scrub your body good with this" Euanthe stated, pointing to the small bottle of gooey purple liquid "This acts as both an antiseptic and body numbing solution" she said before pointing to the next small bottle with tiny half-blue-half-pink pills "Sleeping pills" Euanthe stated, turning her head to Holly "You need a lot of rest- one every two days" "Is that wise?" Faith questioned the hellish princess. "These are personally made from the current Sloth Ring lord, they're completely safe- there is only five tablets in the bottle so three days after the last tablet, come back and we'll do a evaluation" Euanthe answered and when Faith turned her head towards Jocelyn, the woman nodded her head in agreement with the other.
4:41pm
Blake stood alone in the backroom of the shop.
Erik had to leave.
The others were all upstairs.
He had been calling his daughter every thirty minutes to make sure everything back at the house was all good, his last phone call being five minutes ago.
Euanthe came back downstairs, seeing the man still in her shop "I saw the things you grabbed before heading back up" Blake stated as the woman's face turned grim, watching the man's head and gaze hang low "He raped her, didn't he?" "...yeah, he did" Euanthe sadly confirmed his words. Blake slowly shook his head "I should've been there-" "And do what?" the princess questioned the man "You're a human- if you were there last night, Vixen would've killed you without any hesitation" Euanthe pointed out "If you were there, Lilly would be mourning for her father" she continued. "I know-" "Then stop being an idiotic asshole and listen to me for once" Euanthe snapped, managing to lift Blake's gaze to meet her own "A dead father and guardian is no use to the kids he has housed for the last few months and the daughter he has raised" she firmly told him "I swear to god, Blake, if you try to be a hero and get yourself killed, I'm personally getting Jackal or Grim to fish out your soul and throw it back into your fucking stupid body so I can slap you across the face myself" Euanthe threatened. "I don't want to hear anymore 'ifs', 'ands' or 'buts' from your mouth- put your fucking life before anyone else's so your daughter never has a dead father" she told him, Blake nodding his head as if to signal that he had gotten the message.
The princess sighed as she stepped over and joined the man's side "You are the most irritating human I've ever met" "Well... you're the scariest royal celestial I've ever met" Blake replied as Euanthe lifted a brow "Scariest?" she questioned with a slight laugh "And the only person who's managed to keep me in line since Kate passed" he joked a little "I made her a promise to look out for you and Lilly... my last binding vow" Euanthe said.
"...I've given Holly some medicine to help her, I'll come over in a couple days to check up on her, hopefully by then, I'll have a decent plan ready for her" Euanthe stated "I'm going to look into the family's curse as much as I can so she can get rid of that thing" "Holly's not keeping it?" Blake questioned as the hellish princess shook her head "There can't be an heir to the Grey Leader's title, that girl understood that the moment she found out what had really happened to her last night" Euanthe stated.
Blake sighed "I can't imagine how the others must feel- I had to break the news to Joseph Larsson over the phone whilst explaining why Angelina couldn't come to the Red Leader ceremony" "They pushed that forward?" Euanthe questioned "Only because the council pushed the matter... now, it's been pushed back to god knows when" the man answered "It was supposed to be tonight-" "That's a good thing, then" the woman said. "At the moment, we have a poor girl fallen victim to a horrid act and a missing heir to Hell's throne" Euanthe stated "The council and armies are no longer my priority" Blake assured her as again, Euanthe breathed out in relief "You focus on your daughter and bringing my little cousin home, I'll focus on helping Holly" she suggested, Blake nodding his head in agreement.
The woman turned her head to Blake as he raised his eyes to meet hers again "We should probably stop making promises to people, otherwise we're going to end up killing ourselves in promises and vows" she joked as Blake laughed a little "Yeah, we should... but we won't" he said, flinching a little as Euanthe held his hand in her own "Yeah, we won't" she agreed with him as Blake faintly smiled back at her.
So what do you do?
Forgiveness is too hard, even for the nicest person in all the realms.
It's too hard to forget what someone has done to you, especially after they have lost the trust you had in them. It's impossible when the scar is already too deep for them to even attempt stitching it back up.
That kind of damage and betrayal is too hard to undo... most people see that and give up on the healing too early. They give up on fixing what they broke and you sometimes give up on them.
It doesn't matter anymore about who or what they are.
They are no longer your friend.
They are no longer your family member.
They are no longer your love.
It doesn't matter anymore- they lost every right to be called any of that.
...I guess I'm not really a forgiving person then.
