He looked at his clock. "It's only 7:35. What should I do now...? Hmmmm..." He cut on his TV, watching PBC, The Pokémon Battling Channel. The channel is showing a World Coronation battle between Virgil and Iris. Virgil has a Sylveon by his side, whereas Iris has a Lapras. Virgil already used a Leafeon and a Umbreon; Iris, a Haxorus and an Aggron.

"Lapras, use Surf!" Iris commanded. Lapras rode a wave of water. 

"Sylveon! Use Calm Mind!" Virgil retored. Sylveon closed its eyes. It was bathed in a pink aura, raising its Special Attack and Special Defence. 

KRRRSHHHH!! The wave crashed, but Sylveon was still standing. "Now, use Moonblast!" 

Sylveon glowed in a gleamlike energy. Its bow glowed pink. It was forming a pink ball of energy. Sylveon then fired said ball. KABOOM!! Lapras was knocked on its back, taking the Fairy-type move on the nose, and getting its Special Attack knocked down a peg!

The TV blared, "We'll be right back with these messages!" 

Kuro went downstairs to get him some Strudel Power toaster pastries (reference to Toaster Strudelt). "Ah, the chocolate flavour!" He took a pack of 2 out. "I eat most of these flavours. The Nanab Berry flavour gives me gas for some reason." 

He put 2 in a toaster, wich has a Glameow's face on it. "I can see that other battle. I wonder who's gonna win betwixt Virgil and Iris? Money's on Virgil."

Meanwhile, Crystal was at base, which is a bunker built in a mountain outside of Crown City. Because she has no place to stay, Ash decided to let her live there. 

Ash was with sitting at breakfast with Lillian, his daughter, and Serena, his wife. They decided to get brekkie from McBurger. "Sausage, eggs, and cheese between two waffles, a delicious meal! Comes with hash browns!" 

Serena order her and Crystal some oatmeal. "i prefer their oatmeal. The chunks of Leppa Berries, the MooMoo milk... Better alternative to that greasy stuff Ash's fond of." 

A fat guy who looked like Stefan (from Pokémon: Black & White) but with Hispanic facial features rubbed his eyes. His Alolan Raichu came out with him. "What are we having? Waffles? French toast? Pancakes?"

Ash answered his question. "McBurger, Manuel. Normally, one of us would fix breakfast, but..." He slid him a waffle sandwich and hash browns. 

Meet Manuel Marquezo, the third member. He doesn't have Aura Powers, but he was smart. Ash decided to give him a fair shake. 

Crystal extended her hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you!" Manuel shook her hand. He sat down and started eating his most important meal ravenously. 

Crystal chuckled nervously. "He sure enjoys food!" 

Ash added, "We're gonna have Kuro, another member, who'll be coming. You and Kuro just might get along; you both like food."

Kuro sat down and continued watching his battle. Lapras fainted from another Moonblast by Sylveon. Kuro bit into his chocolate pastry. "Man, Iris is sorry! I could probably take her!" he boasted. His tone changed. "Then again... If she had a Mega Evolution or something, my Charizard would have its balls handed to it..." 

His mom knocked on the door. "Kuroooo~ Mr. Ketchum wants to meet you at 11."

He opened the door. "Yes, ma'am. He just sent me a text." 

His dad sat on the couch and started watching TV. "I'm not sure about Kuro going out to save the world. We already attended 4 funerals last year. I just don't want him to get hurt or killed is all..." 

"He'll be fine. He took on a few evil orginizations, stopped Eternatus, took on other Legendary Pokémon... Our little boy will be fine," Momma reassured his hubby. "Meanwhile, we need to work on a little brother or sister. Kuor will be grown soon." 

He was taken aback. "I DO NOT wanna deal with another baby! Nope!  Rather adopt from a nearby orphanage or something." He got up to go get something to drink. "I want some iced sorrel." 

Kuro saw that commercial break was coming back. "Now, I can get something to sip on." He got up and went downstairs to get something.
