Inside his room, while studying intense chemisty, the light portal made it's appearance by ripping the air in two, in the formation of a seed. He scoffed, dropped his pencil on the ground and entered the portal knowing that it was time for him to meet with In-Su.

On the path between the Grand Tree and the Shan Altar, the light portal was slowly closing in

Jang looked around, but not seeing him anywhere ner him, Jang put his palms near his mouth and started shouting after his teacher.

Continuing looking around, and no responses heard, Jang started walking towards the Grand Tree, thinking that he should be inside there.

On enter, a slight coughing voice had caught Jang's attention, it was In-Su, yelling at  Jang that he is in the back, near the "book-hall"

The book hall was a long hall that was filled with books on shelfs, from the bottom left, all the way to the bottom right, cornering a hall like an entire room.

Behind it, he saw In-Su was sitting down on a puffy flat pillow, drawing on a short lenght and long width, good quality, polished light-brown hardwood table.

On top of the table, focused and pure attetion was forwarded towards a half-drawn portrait of a beautiful short haired woman from In-Su's part.

In-Su put down the black ink tinted thin brush from his hand, near the drawing.
Telling Jang, who was sitting down near him, having his legs crossed, changing his sight from the woman inside the portrait and In-Su, he told him that the woman was the love of his life.

The star teacher made a gesture with his left arm, pointing it at the drawing, while looking at Jang, telling him to finish the drawing, with a serious look in his eyes. Jang told him that he still has to read the "Philosophy of the stars", knowing that he will ruin the portret, he kept trying to talk himself out of it, babbling about different things.

"You have already read twenty one times more books than you should've already read by now"

He's right, Jang has actually read 60 books since he arrived the first time at the Altar.

The star student sat down closer to In-su. Taking the pencil and following In-Su's orders on how to hold the brush, what are the necessary movements and the amount of ink needed.

"You will hold the brush with your first three fingers, and then gently put the tip of the brush, in a straight direction"

Before In-Su got up from his seat and leaving Jang alone, In-Su told him that he has to let the imagination flow, while he was doing a hand gesture of water waves with his hands, with his eyes closed, just like he would dream the demonstration, visualising it in front of him.

The woman in the drawing looked around twenty and thirty years old, but really young figure. Long hair, chiseled chin, swollen cheeks, short and tiny nose with a sharp curve on the tip of it with sharp long eyes.

In-Su sat near his meditation zone, which was covered in two long scrolls extended out, mounted on the wall, as a sign of respect for the words that were wrote in messy ink lettering made with the brush.
"Fear the fearless" "Calm sunrise"

Near his bent elbows, there were two bowls filled with dirt with four plants inside every pot. Two scent, thin wooden rods were sticking out of the pots, for the relaxation sensation, the piece of resistence.

"This exercise helps with your attention sporing and your dynamic thinking, it will make you think about the continuation of what your action should or will be"

With this sentence said, he raised his chin high up, while facing the wall with the painting of a man that was in mid 50's, that was right between the two scrolls. Next to his raised chin, a joyful small and sudden smirk had carved on his face, knowing what kind of wise words he just said, thinking that Jang would find what he said "cool".

"Where did you meet this woman, teacher?"

"It is a long story, maybe some other time"

"Fine"

Jang turned his look back at the drawing, after carefuly revealing what In-Su said before with the flow and the creativity, while scratching his head with the bottom edge of the brush, grunting his eyes and humming out his lack of talent.

"Oh, right, just like in the class"

With this one sentence, Jang raised the brush as he told to, adjusting it gently and slowly with his other hand, in order for it to be in perfect form.

Jang straightened his back and put himself to draw. First, he filled the blank spots with grey parts, using the pressure of the brush and the black ink to create a "fade" feeling.

"After you've finished it, I have to show you something, something neat (opens his eyes and looks at Jang for a brief moment then he turns back, closing his eyes). Jang looked back with a judging look on his face after hearing the word "neat", really wanting to tell his teacher that the word does not fit him, but he kept it to himself, while going back on concentrating on the portrait

"Little by little, shadow by shadow, don't forget, Jang"
Whispered Jang to himself

Little by little, shadow by shadow...

In a matter of seconds of not paying total attention, Jang zoned out, accidentally drawing a thick and black line all over the portrait. Realising what he had done, his eyes widened and he loudly gasped and held his hand in desperation and huffed nervously a few times.

Jang looked at In-Su but luckily he didn't even flinch

Jokingly wiping his sweat from his forehead with the sleeve of his hoodie, Jang let his tongue slip out of his mouth and tried to figure out a way to creatively fix the mistake.

"If I did that... I think I should continue with it, In-Su would say like, go with the flow... yeah, that sounds right (chuckles silently)"
Whispered Jang to himself

Thirty five minutes have passed, and Jang was done. He sat up and approached In-Su with a proud look in his eyes and a mighty slow walk.

"That's about right"
Slowly said Jang, jokingly acting cool and sliding the portrait under his nose.

In-Su looked at the drawing from a medium distance, but his eyes could not focus on it. That was when his glasses came into the story.
With his glasses on, In-Su said that he couldn't wait to see what Jang had come with. Chuckling softly, he raised the portrait in front of him. Staring at it, and with every second passing, his smile slowly faded more and more and his mouth was wide open with a high pitched deep scream.

"BAAAAA!"
In-Su was shocked, flabbergasted. Putting one of his hands on top of his head, he grunted his voice, letting out a grumpy old man panicked breathing.

When Jang saw In-Su's heartbeat raise, he tried to calm him down while taking words out of his mouth.

"Go with the flow...?"

On top of that, Jang made some movements with his hands, just like the flow of the river

In-Su turned his look at Jang, gently and jokingly grabbing him by his hoodie's sleeve that was covering his neck, shaking it a few times.

"JAANG, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?"

In-Su looked at the drawing for a few more seconds and gently placed it on the thin pillow that he sat on before.

"I told you, teacher, that you should continue it, you are cray-ze, I tell you, I am no artist"

The finished portrait was actually a drawing on top of the actual portrait, somehow doing a hole new drawing  that was over the recent drawing, but his portrait was more obscure, weird looking and too deformed.

In-Su fixed his reactions, straightening his clothes and taking a deep breath as nothing has happened, cleaning his throat with a few grunts.

"Anyway (coughs), extend your right hand towards me"

On his command, Jang straightened his hand. In-Su put his palm under Jang's and suddenly, a few small glowing dots were being showcased inside his palm. The star teacher told him to connect the dots, while doing a gesture with one of his fingers, dragging it in different directions.

Jang connected four dots, then something shaped like a cube appeared in his palm, a small formation of the meaning cube.

"Wooahh, that's so cool, it's like a small screen"
Jang constantly looked at his hand, amazed, like a joyful kid on Christmas day, opening his brand new arrived presents.

"Now push your palm towards the sky"

Jang did as In-Su told him, and the cube from inside his palm, jumped out like a cut out character from television  invading the real world.

The light blue, transparent, quite deformed cube was floating around In-Su and Jang. The cube lightened a small place around where it was floating. The light was flickering inside Jang's eyes, coloring his skin tone to the beautiful and cold light blue. The cube slowly faded into dissapearance a few moments.

"Good, now time for Astral Pass!"

Exclaimed In-Su, taking a whole palette with a carved handle, that was transparent and had flickering and moving small dots inside it.

"Wooah, that was so rad, wait, let me do it too"

Jang slowly connected the dots from his left hand, with one of his fingers, but his joyful smile was interrupted by something small hit him in the shoulder, when Jang looked at his hand, there was nothing. Then he looked towards In-Su, who was ready to pass another ball with his flat palette.

"Come on, teacher, I'm trying to do it"
Said Jang slightly upset.

"Then do it"

In-Su threw up another ball made out constellations, hit it with his palette and the hit ball flew all across the other side of the Grand library.

"Come on man, at least let me do this thing"

Seconds after, In-Su continued
"Ready, Jang?"

"No, wait, I just figured it out. If I stop doing the "connecting mid-way", then I have to do it all over again"

"Good, WATCH OUT!"
Exclaimed In-Su, after he realised that the ball will go directly into Jang's face.

In the last second, Jang raised up his hand, letting the palette come out willingly out of his palm. Catching it in the lest second, he turned half of his body and quickly hit the ball with such a force that the ball blew up mid-air with a dance of light and burning memories, along with his palette.

In-Su chuckled, pointing his palette at him, while telling Jang that he's not quite in the zone yet.

Jang got a litle bit upset and made another one, but better.

They continued playing a few more hours, maximizing the distance between them, changing locations and even walking while playing with the ball that was like a dim of bright light in the air, like a small hope.

In-Su quickly hit another ball when Jang didn't pay attention, and when he tried to catch it, Jang accidentally stumbled in two wooden tables and seats, breaking them into more parts, along with a few porcelaine items that were placed on the tables.

"You did good, but you know only how to use your powers, you don't know the fundamentals of it, you are very lucky that some principals of your power works, even I don't know why is that working, but very soon I will teach you everything you have to know. For now, I will give you a (takes book out of his pocket, puts on glasses and searches for a few seconds), (closes book, puts it away and puts glasses away and releaseses a bright smirk on his face, along with a thumbs up) like.

Jang jokingly slapped himself on the face with a slightly happy look on his face, while nodding his head sideways a few times.

Jang sat down on one of the broken chairs that had only 3 legs and a small platform, and sniffed his nose once, then he happily continued with a big hype inside his heart.

"I can't wait to shoot stars out of the sky and-a-...and have a punch so hard that it can break trough the world's hardest surfaces (chuckles loudly), man oh man, imagine how crazy that would be"

"I think we are done for today, Jang, thank you for you attendance (nods once and closes eyes for a two seconds)"
Slightly smirked In-Su

He hit the ground with his toyag once, thudding the hardwood into the brick floor and the light portal broke the air by creating itself with it's bright-yellow light from inside it. In-Su waved his stick in a sign of goodbye towards Jang.

Jang walked towards the light portal and waved with his hand towards his teacher with a stubborn smile on his face.

"Now... (turns around) I have to fix that (imitates a deep voice) haunting drawing of yours, Jang, hmmh"
In-Su chuckled lively, while nodding his head a few times in both directions. He headed outside of the Altar, towards the Grand Tree.

Jang got teleported home, no headache, no fuzzy feelings, he just felt normal, it was quite an unnerving feeling for him, a feeling of accomodation.

After the fun meeting with In-Su, Jang went straight to the supermarket, bought some snacks and went directly home.

The morning when he woke up, a star was tattoed on his left cheek
"WHA--"

*Somewhere in the city near by*

A hand was straightened forward, grasping a deformed and "dirty" color of blue, with his one good hand. The thing kept struggling, humming deeply and grunting his rounds of remained sharp teeth. It tried to move his legs, to run away, but it's legs... pieces of bone were sticking out of his flesh.
The whole body slowly got thinner and thinner, until it was only a piece of really pale colored flesh, a blue liquid flew into the hand, inserting  it inside his skin from different parts. Unnatural veins and very little muscle on the extended hand slowly made their appearance.

"(Clicks tongue) This will fill me up for a few hours, then I will have to find someone better than you. Where are the actual monsters when I'm hungry, if you know what I mean (looks back at the thin and pale amount of bones and skin)  (looks down, his eyes got emptier). Jong. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to help me, but it's your life, your choice. I really hope we will meet soon enough, Myeon Jong"

I could only the lower half of his face as he turned around and said something before leaving the inside of the house, looking down at the ground underneath him, almost waiting for something to come from down there. Raising his hand, while turning it into a tightened fist, he looked into it.

"I have to put my hands on it, I won't be left outside when the clock of doom will tick it's coming, I will be sure to be by your side, Jin"

Jang Ho always helped everyone in need, even if he was wasting his time, being late to classes or just helping an old lady cross the street.
One night when he went to do some cardio outside, he saw something really bright in the sky coming directly towards him, it was a STAR, big as a planet. In a blink moment, the star crushed him, falling right on him, creating a big crater.
That night, Jang Ho became someone else... or something else.
