MATURITY WARNING: this may of relationship abuse that may not be suitable for most readers
Why didn’t I notice it earlier? Sua cursed to herself, as she slipped out of her chair and made her way back to where Seonwoo and the woman were sitting.
“Seonwoo?” She asked, placing a hand on his back, earning widened eyes from the woman, as she said his real name, “I’m sorry, it was my fault.”
Seonwoo glanced over at her, as he forced himself to smile, “I invited… you out this late, it’s my fault.” he looked like he was in so much pain.
The announcement sounded over the bus. Sua reached over and pressed the button to let the driver know she wanted to get off here. Even though it wasn’t the stop closest to where she lived, it wasn’t too far to walk from this stop, but more importantly, she wanted to get Seonwoo off the bus as soon as possible.
“I’ll help you get off, Seonwoo. I’m sorry, after you had-” he cut her off with a groan.
“You wanna rest some more, Seonwoo?” the woman asked, causing Sua to clasp her hand tighter against his back. She didn’t know why she did it, but the way the woman had said his name sent chills down her back. He was completely vulnerable, anybody could tell.
He didn’t respond in words, but when the bus hit another bump in the road, his hand grabbed Sua’s shoulder tightly, and he muttered something on how it was okay, or how he was going to be okay. She felt really bad. She had only wanted to get him out of the middle of the park, but instead, she caused him to suffer so much. Maybe she should have just woken him up in the park, or possibly just left him there? His friend just left, maybe she could have caught up to him if she tried, but right now she was regretting the decision she made to bring him onto the bus. She should have paid better attention to when people were talking about him, but she didn’t expect to be hanging out with him as often as she was.
The woman was making matters worse, too. Luckily, there was only one other person on the bus, and he was nodding his head off, as if to catch a few extra minutes of sleep before going in for work. The woman began rubbing Seonwoo’s back, as if she had known him for years. She watched as he almost froze in place, opening his mouth to say something, but not being able to formulate his words. Sua couldn’t move, his grip on her shoulder was too strong, and she felt like if she did move the woman would take advantage of the vulnerable state he was in right now.
The announcement went off again, and Sua wrapped the arm that was on his back around him, and lifted him up, as the bus came to a stop. With the bus stopped, while he still looked like he was in pain, it was easier to help him get off the bus, and thankfully away from that, ‘Lilly’ as she said her name was.
“You alright, Seonwoo?” Sua asked, as she sat him down on the bench.
“Yeah, yeah,” he answered, “I’m fine.” With him no longer moving, his tiredness seemed to come back to him, as he let out a long yawn, “I’ll be fine.”
“That’s good to hear,” Sua responded, with a sigh.
“How’d I get on the bus, anyway?” he asked.
“You fell asleep in the middle of the park, hitting your head, really hard against the concrete pavement of the path, and I didn’t want to just leave you there, so…” Sua gulped, as she realized what she was about to do.
Seonwoo nodded, “So?” urging her to continue.
“I had hoped you would wake up while we were on the bus.” she smiled, nervously. “I completely forgot you hated cars.”
“No biggie!” He smiled, “but um, where are we?” He looked around the street that the bus stopped at.
“My stop.” Sua shyly responded. Once he knows this, he’s probably gonna want to come to my place, to-
“Your stop!?” Seonwoo repeated, with eyes that were practically sparkling, “You live around here?”
“Uh, yeah, well, this is the nearest stop to where I live…” Sua answered.
“That’s awesome!” He smiled, “but, uh, how close are we to MV Entertainment?”
“What?” Sua was taken back. She didn’t expect him to say that.
“MV Entertainment. Where’s it at?” he yawned again, tears forming in his eyes.
Sua yawned, “I’m not sure.” she responded, as she sat next to him on the bench.
“You look like you wanna go to bed. Your eyes are all red.” he stated, and bent down for her to get on his back, “Where’d ya live?”
“What?” Sua asked, “I can walk on my own, I’m not that tired.”
He stood back up, “You know what? It’ll be easier if I do it this way,” and before she could say anything she was being practically cradled in his arms. He began walking down one of the side streets, “this street, right?”
“Actually, yes, but what do you mean this is easier! It’s far from easier for me!” she exclaimed, “What made you guess this street, anyway?”
“You just looked like you lived down this way,” he shrugged. “How hard did I hit my head, anyway? It doesn’t feel like I hit my head.”
“Looked like I did?” What? “It was hard enough to make a sound.”
“Yeah.” he answered, “So, where do I turn, now?” he asked as he reached a split in the road.
“You don’t have to take me home, Seonwoo.” she sharply responded, as she pushed her hands against his chest, so that he’d let go of her, he didn’t though, “I can make it from here.”
“But you look like you’re about to fall asleep.” he answered, “besides, I want to.” he stated, as he placed a hand on my thigh. “Can’t let a woman like yourself go home without a man with her, right?”
“That’s sweet.” I smiled. It had been a long time since I met a guy who was nice to me, and didn’t want something from me, but of course that was always wishful thinking.
After we got to my home, he opened my door for me, “Why not you go ahead, and get ready for bed.”
“Yeah,” I smiled, again, “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Or after you get out of the shower.”
What? I asked myself, as a light giggle escaped my throat, “Yeah, yeah, goodnight!”
“Oh, come on, babe,” he asked, as he snaked his hands around my waist, burrowing his nose into the nape of my neck, “what’s wrong with having a few games before we sleep.”
“We sleep?” I laughed, turning around to face him, “but you’re going home, right?”
“But you don’t want me to.” his smirk didn’t look so sweet and innocent anymore.
“Haha,” I laughed, “well, I have to get ready for bed, like you said.” I pushed him away, only for him to grab at my wrist.
“Oh come on, baby! You don’t want me to spend the night?” his eyes glanced over my body, as he subconsciously licked his lips.
“I’m good, I have work tomorrow.” I gave him a smile as I tried to pull my hand out of his grasp.
He let go of my wrist, but the relief was short lived as I felt his hands slide down my side only to grope my behind, pulling me closer to him, “What’s the use of all this, if you’re not gonna let me play with it?” his other hand began feeling the hem of my skirt.
“Well,” I smiled, placing my hands on his chest, hoping he’d let go, “I’m really tired tonight, so I don’t think- Ah!” he was moving his hands to feel me, and he nodded, as if he understood what I was saying. A shiver went up my spine as he whispered in my ear.
“Come on, you’re beautiful” all that was coming out of his mouth were just sweet nothings, each one meant to make me agree to it, but only making me want to get out of his arms, “just ten minutes, and I’ll go home.” he stated, grabbing the hem of my undergarments.
“No, wait, please, don’t do that! I’m serious. I don’t want to sleep with you!” Sua exclaimed, eyes snapping open.
“What?” Seonwoo asked, nearly dropping her, as they reached the front door of her home.
Her heart rate went up as she took in how close they were to each other. She must have fallen asleep in his arms, but how? How could she think of that now? She hated all of those moments, made them super uncomfortable, and now she’s probably pushing another person away from her. He was looking at her expecting a response and yet all she could think about was how once again she ruined a possible relationship.
