Asukem woke up with Ah'keim's laughing echoing in his head. Asukem looked around and found out he was back in his village, and time seemed to stop as the villagers were still gathering materials to rebuild the town of Kimbra.

Asukem noticed some of the town's kids were watching him meditate. They were paralyzed with fear as their eyes widened and their legs shook. Asukem seemed to be sending off a powerful aura of negative energy, which caused the children to be scared of him.

One of the kids gulped down their fear as a little girl stepped forward and asked, "Mister, are you okay?"

Asukem takes a deep breath, still annoyed with Ah'keim but trying his best to stay calm, but growls, "I am fine..." The growl was deep and menacing, shaking every inch of the children's souls. They ran, cowering in fear, into the town where it was safe.

Franklin watched him in the distance and kept his distance as he was slightly intimidated by his appearance. Asukem sighed in despair as he scared the living spirit out of the children; he didn't mean to. Asukem hated how he looked now. Asukem got up from meditating and roamed the broken and ruined streets of Kimbra. People kept their distance as if he had the pledge; he didn't believe it and missed the insults. He missed people calling him names; this feeling he had was loneliness. He missed his family, he missed Bob, and he definitely missed Isabella. The despair crept in, and it was pissing him off, and the people of the town knew he was pissed, but they didn't know what for. They thought he didn't like them for their past actions.

The townsfolk felt so uneasy that one of them, who was rebuilding the building in the town, got distracted by his presence and let the frame of the building fall. The frame of the building almost fell on another member of the town. Still, Asukem felt a stressful presence, and he rushed over and caught the falling frame, saving the member of the town.

Asukem groaned as he lifted the frame of the building to its rightful spot. He glared at the townsfolk as he said, "Don't get the wrong idea. Still haven't forgiven you all, but I don't want to see you all hurt."

The men Asukem saved responded to him, "Of course!" they all took over but hesitated as they were afraid of Asukem. Asukem continued his way down the road once the men continued to work.

Franklin, in the distance, sighed with relief, and a smirk formed on his face as he watched Asukem proudly. He thought Asukem might hate them, but he couldn't help what was in his heart. He is kind, but he doesn't know how to show it.

While Asukem stayed in the town, he decided to help rebuild the town. He carried blocks of stone and wood logs without ease as he had his demonic strength. He took breaks and gave the townsfolk time to themselves as his presence was overwhelming. As he took breaks, he practiced his abilities and sword skills.

While Asukem was on his break and giving the townsfolk their space, there was a time when the townsfolk met. They surround the town's mayor as he announces, "Gather up, everyone. We need to have a discussion about Asukem."

A mother of someone, the town's children demanded with a hurtful voice, "he needs to leave! he is a threat. Not only did Asukem scare the children, but he also scared everyone here!" the rest of the people nodded; agreeing with her.

Franklin stood in the crowd, but his eyes widened in surprise at the mother's comment. He added his opinion with some attitude, "Why should we kick him in the great divines? It isn't his fault that he looks the way he does!"

The mother hugged her child as she was protecting them. Still, the children's faces looked as if they were confused. They didn't want anyone to leave, as the mother continued to throw hurtful words, "Just look at him, he is no longer human, he is a monster! Plus, I don't want his forgiveness; a thief is a thief. He will stay the same or become worse, a murderer!"

Franklin's face dropped from surprise to pissed off as she called Asukem a thief, a murderer, and a monster, as he snapped, "Perhaps you need to leave and go with those stuck-up pricks, sense your acting exactly like the nobles! You are not better than him! None of us are!"

The townspeople look down in disappointment, as one of the townsfolk states, "We still are doing it, aren't we?" that is when everyone in the town has never changed. They were still judging him. The town's mayor added, "This is why I wanted everyone here to discuss this, but I can see some still act the same, and I call a vote."

The town's mayor looks away with his eyes closed, afraid of the results, but asks, "Who thinks Asukem should leave?" some people raise their hands out of fear. The mother raised her hand but added, "If we are not killing him, then I guess letting him leave is fine." the look on everyone's face was a look of surprise, anger, and disgust.

The mayor wrote down the votes, but it seemed like he was writing down something else as he glanced and shook his head at the woman. He asked another question as he raised his hand, taking in the vote, "If anyone wants to accept Asukem for who he is and let him stay here and call this place home, please raise your hand!" the rest of the people raised their hands looking at the woman in vengeance as if they wanted to piss her off. the look on the mother's face was of fear and disgust. Still, the look on Franklin's face was of pride as a tear fell from his eyes.

The people who voted Asukem to leave left the town, as they were too scared to stay or didn't like the results of the votes. However, the people who voted for Asukem to stay gave him gifts. They gathered scraps of metal so they could forge him a sword that he could use. They wanted to make it sharp, sturdy, and easy to use but also endure his strength, so they made him a short katana that he could use in only one of his hands.

The woman and young girls in the village agreed that Asukem liked to wear clothing that made him stand out, so they made him a black Hakama and sandals for his feet. The rest of the town's carpenters made Asukem a holster for the sword that they made him.

2 months went by before the town was rebuilt. The villagers gathered their gifts and walked up to Asukem as a mob, and Franklin led them. Asukem watched the townspeople walk up to him. His eyes are raised in confusion and concern as they step towards him. In fear, he asks, "What's going on Franklin?"

With sorrow, Franklin slowly stepped forward, saying, "The people were talking, Asukem. They feel like you're under a lot of stress. You have been scaring most of them..."

Asukem interrupts Franklin and looks away in disappointment, "I expect this from them, but not you, Franklin; what in the great divine's name changed?"

Franklin's eyes widened in shock, and he realized Asukem was mistaken; he shook his head and quickly replied, "Don't be so quick to judge, Asukem. the only thing that changed is them, let them explain." Franklin stepped aside and led Asukem to them with his arm open.

The villagers gave the mayor the gifts, and the mayor stepped forward as he pleaded with Asukem, "Asukem Seikage, as mayor of this small village of New Kimbra, I present you with gifts, apologies, and to show you gratitude for helping us, we have misjudged you in a wrong way, and we are sorry. I hope you can take these gifts and forgive us."

The mayor handed Asukem the gifts and bowed to him, showing respect to him. Asukem took the gifts and looked at the rest of the townspeople. His eyes widened in surprise as the rest of the townsfolk were bowing to him, too, showing respect and how sorry they were as they were pleading with Asukem to forgive them. Asukem smirked as he replied, "You know what? You all need to..."

The mayor and the townspeople frowned, thinking he would be mean and a jerk. Still, looks of surprise and glad smiles form as Asukem replied, "Stop this. This is humiliating. Not only to me but to you all." he left the mayor back on his feet as he continued, "Just make a rule to never judge anyone ever again, by looks, okay?"

The mayor nods quickly, agreeing with the terms of forgiveness as he adds, "Of course, Asukem!" Asukem gave a gentle smile that still looked like he wanted to eat everyone there, but they all knew better. the mayor asks as he looks at him with concern, "Does this mean you forgive us?" Asukem looks sternly at everyone as he replies, "Not 100 percent, but yes, it does."

The townspeople and the mayor sighed in relief. They accepted that they still needed to earn Asukem's respect but were glad they had gained some.
