When is it going to end? I have been enduring for days. Days. I can’t anymore. I can’t.

I drift into consciousness and drift out as quickly. They wake and forbid me to rest, in fear that I will recollect strength.

I cannot.

I am in pain but I feel nothing at all. My bones ache as my muscles melted away. It hurts. They won’t stop. They won’t let me sleep. Facing me to a mirror, shattered, and I don’t know who it is.

I do not know the person staring back at me.

Yet people call him the Crow. A monster. A beast. Ruined.

Is that supposed to be me?

Eyes blackened. Lips red, hair a mess worse than a rat king.
