Once I opened my eyes and accustomed myself to the initial disorientation suddenly waking up brings, and remembering the last thing I saw before passing out I looked around and spotted that Amy was sitting right next to me.

I also noticed that there was a tree trunk that seemed to be cleanly cut through on both sides of me, so in order to get an understanding on exactly what transpired after falling unconscious I went to the only one who saw everything.

'Zinnias what exactly happened while I was unconscious?'

Once they seemed to get their thoughts in order they mentioned something that left me surprised.

'Amy seems to have awakened her blessed core ability.'

'Really, can you explain exactly what yo saw?'

I wanted to get a grasp on her ability so that I could prepare for what's to come afterwords, by no means was I going to fight her but there were currently to many unknowns.

The biggest unknown being that even though I can feel my blessed core is active I don't know what my ability; I was under the impression that once you awaken your blessed core you would instantly know what your ability is but that doesn't seem to be the case.

'I actually think you should ask her for the specifics , all I could tell was that she manifested a thin sword and cut through the tree trunk.'

With those few words I got a slight grasp on her ability, but I decided to hold off on making assumptions.

'She was also moving exceptionally fast for someone of her age, so it seems she quite strong.'

'Alright thank you Zinnias.'

After getting a slightly better understand of the situation I turned toward Amy and tried to put on the kindest smile I could.

"Lets have a quick chat."

Even though I tried to make her feel at ease with my smile she still seemed anxious for some odd reason but none the less she nodded at me.

"I want you to tell me what you think happened right before I passed out."

"It loo..ked like once your core activate..ed you begun spell casting, but the Edirem in your system..m ran out which led to you pass..ing out."

Even though I thought she was kinda slow mentally when I first met her she seems to have grasped the situation maybe because she had already awakened her blessed core.

The stutter threw me off though since I didn't understand why she was nervous to the point that she would developed a stutter.

"Hmm, you seemed to understand the situation but why are you stuttering so much you weren't talking like that earlier at the picnic spot?"

"Umm my dad enjoys watching spy films and when he talks about them to my mother he sometimes mentions that people are "Taking care of for knowing too much" and I believe that I currently know to much."

"Huh, I won't harm you though, it's not that serious."

What type of four year old did she think I was to kill her for something like this, it also made me wonder what type of father tells his four year old daughter about getting killed for knowing to much but to each their own.

"You won't?"

She looked puzzled by my response, which made me even more curious about the way she thinks.

"No I won't, so can I ask you something what's your blessed core ability?"

"Greater swordsmanship, it allows me to slow build proficiency in the sword of my choosing and gain a special attribute. In my case it's a rapier and my attribute is sword auras."

From her response my initial assumption was correct, it seems her abilities derived from the universal swordsmanship blessed core.

When I wrote my novel originally while I mentioned that there were about 100,000 humans left after the initial Astral attack I didn't really go into the abilities of anyone outside of the 7 main characters and a few of their closest allies.

So my assumption was that when the changes in this world happened it made it so that there would be many variants of abilities, in Amy's case her ability seems to be a relatively downgraded version of Arima Higashio [universal swordsmanship].

With this revelation I let out a quite mumble.

"I see that's how it works."

"How what works?"

"Nothing I was thinking of something,...oh by the way even though my core activated I don't know what my ability is how did you find out?"

"You will have to go to the holy capital and they will tell you more about your blessed core and what your future holds."

"What are you talking about?"

"That's how you find out about your blessed core ability."

She said this in a matter of factly tone as if it was common knowledge, Slightly confused I turned my attention to Vee.

'Vee what is she talking about.'

'[Since blessed core currently are artificially powered and not given to you through God, it seems once it activates the knowledge of your ability isn't instantly implemented into your mind unless it's a primordial ability like universal swordsmanship, and manager of life]'

'Hmm, that makes sense I guess.'

While I was getting answer to my question it seems Amy had a question of her own.

"Umm!"

"Yes."

"I was told at the holy capital that only those without an ability can spell-cast but how can you have an ability and still spell-cast."

'Should I tell her?'

'[I believe if you give a somewhat truthful explanation it could help you when it comes to explaining things to both of your parents as to why you were gone so long.]'

'Shit.'

"Before I answer that do you know what time is it."

"I don't know the exact time but it's been a few hours since we started the game probably."

From the way the sun was still up and shining I could tell it hadn't been more than a few hours but to our parents those few hours could cause them to worry.

"Well to answer your question, I think I just got lucky, as far as I could remember I have had this weird feeling near my blessed core like there was something else there."

"My guess was that there were two cores in me so if I had to make an assumption the fact that I have two cores allowed me to do both."

"Really?"

She seemed skeptical of this vague answer, but I felt that if I just added a little more emotion I could fully persuade her.

I reached for her hand and squeezed it while pleading.

"I haven't told my parents this since I didn't want to worry them so could you please promise me you won't tell anyone."

'Vee could you stimulate my tear duct?'

'[Yes, but is there really a need to go this far?]'

'Yes'

I felt a strong sting in the region of my tear ducts and immediately tears begun to fall down as a pleaded with her.

She seemed taken back by my tears but after realizing just how 'serious' I was she seemed to sympathize with me.

"Okay, I won't tell anyone but in exchange maybe we could train every once in a while, and also...could I call you my friend?"

I was slightly surprised by the request but I guess there must be some reason she wants to be friends.

"Sure, that's fine."

"Okay when we're in school don't ignore me."

She started to squeeze my hand much harder than I was squeezing hers.

I don't know why she thinks we will be going into the same school especially since I plain on skipping most of my early school years as I have been, but I guess I could indulge in her request.

"So we have ourselves a deal you promise that you won't tell anyone about what happened today, and I'll train with you once in a while. The friend part isn't apart of the deal and is instead something we both want, okay."

"Okay."

She had a large smile that made me almost forget her shy nature and it made me wonder why she wanted a friend so bad but I guess we all have our own worries.
