She honestly couldn’t believe people sometimes. How could someone ask something like that so blatantly. She sighed, as she waited for Seonwoo’s interview with Rogue to finish. Have you ever seen him naked? It was ridiculous. But the way people had turned their attention to him and her, even as Seonwoo had come onto the stage mumbling something about Haejun, made her realize that it wasn’t just guys that were trouble in her life. Girls were too. And for someone to ask about something so private, too. Of course she hadn’t, but she didn’t want to admit that she nearly had, if the clothing rack had been less full than it was. Besides, if she said anything other than a straight ‘no’ gossip would get out, and Seonwoo’s image would falter.
A notification rang out on her phone, and she noticed she had a new email. She nearly leapt from her seat, as Seonwoo’s dressing room door opened, coincidently at the same time. The interviewer left, with a slight wave, and a pleasant ‘thank you.’ but her attention was solely on the email she had just received. She couldn’t believe it. It was something she had done in the spur of the moment. She truly didn’t expect something like this to happen to her, so soon.
“What’s so interesting?” Seonwoo’s voice spoke next to her ear. She glanced over, to see him looking over her shoulder. “‘Min Sua, we are pleased to inform you that your story The Unseen Thief has received the -’ Hey! I was reading that!”
“It’s my email!” Sua huffed. “Go read your own.”
“The Unseen Thief, huh?” Seonwoo placed a hand to his chin, “What’s it about?”
“It doesn’t matter.” Sua sighed, “You ready to go? What’s your address? I’ll take you straight home.”
“Nah, we can just go to your place.” Seonwoo yawned, “I’m hungry.”
“You look more tired than hungry.”
“Nope. Haven’t eaten since I got here.”
“When did you even eat?”
“Before Eunja ’s performance.” Seonwoo answered, with another yawn, “You have good food at your place right? We’ll go there.”
“Why not yours?” Sua answered, “Or are you still out of food?”
“Oh shit! I need to buy food!”
“My gosh, are you an idiot?”
“No.” Seonwoo pouted, “Then can we stop by the store, before we head to you-”
“We’re going to yours. Anyway, yes, we can stop by the store.”
“Great! There's an hour's walk from here, wanna go?”
“What?”
“It’s only an hour's walk away.”
“We aren’t walking.”
“Oh, then it’s a thirty minute jog.”
“We aren’t jogging.”
“It’s a ten minute run.”
“How fast do you run?” Sua sighed, “and we aren’t running either.”
“A six minute sprint.”
“We are driving.”
“No.” Seonwoo stated, “We drove here, we aren’t driving back.”
“We are. Besides, we had to cross a bridge to get here, remember?” Sometimes she swore he sounded so serious when he was joking around like this.
“No.”
“We did, what were you gonna do? Swim?”
“I’ve done it before.”
“Are you a beast?”
“No, I’m human.”
Seonwoo opened the backdoor that they had entered the building through, letting them out. Sua should have expected the small crowd of people waiting, though thankfully, not anywhere more than about fifty, considering how large the auditorium was. She grabbed the handle of the door, and quickly closed it. She didn’t expect so many people this late after he performed.
“Sua?” Seonwoo asked, and it was then she noticed his hand was still on the handle.
She let go of his hand, and hid hers behind her back, slightly embarrassed by her sudden urge to close the door. “Sorry, I wasn’t expecting so many people out there.”
“Nah, it’s cool.” Seonwoo shrugged, “but I’m worri-”
“Kang Seonwoo!” Yuna yelled at him, “How come you didn’t go take photos with the guests out front.”
“Didn’t feel like it.” Seonwoo responded, with a shrug. “Anyway, Sua, Bunny’s probab-”
“Do you even know how much trouble you put me in?” Yuna exclaimed, hitting him upside the head.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m sorry.”
“You show up late, without bringing my darling Haejun, and you show up late to the VIP session, without an apology for not bringing Haejun, and you won’t even go take photos, and so I can’t take one with Haejun!”
“What does that icy bastard have anything to do with this?” Seonwoo asked.
Sua smiled, “You should’ve brought Haejun, Seonwoo. I’m sure we could’ve had time to pick him up.”
“What! You too?” Seonwoo announced, “I’m leaving, Haejun sucks, I don’t know why you girls like him so much?” He opened the door, and walked out.
“Like him!” Sua exclaimed, “Wait! No, that’s not what I-”
“You like Haejun, too, Sua?” Yuna asked, though her tone was chilly. “I cannot allow it! My darling Haejun can’t be with somebody like you!”
“What!” Sua was shocked, “No, I don’t like him, Haejun’s all yours! I’ve only met him once, anyway!” she opened the door, “Seonwoo! Wait, you’re not seriousl-”
“You like meat, too?” Seonwoo exclaimed, to a girl who had been waiting for him to exit, a stick of beef jerky in her hand, one bite taken out of it.
“Y-yes,” she squeaked, her face reddening as Seonwoo leaned closer.
“Can I take a bite?” he laughed.
“Y-YES!” She announced, shoving the stick at him.
“Seon-” Sua stopped herself, as a few eyes focused on her, “Dragon!”
Seonwoo smiled, politely declining the beef jerky, and turned his attention to Sua, “What? Weren’t you talking with Yuna about that crazy ice princess?”
“No!” Sua exclaimed, before dropping her eyes from his, as men began to look at her.
“I told you I was leaving,” Seonwoo shrugged.
“Dragon, can I get a picture?” someone asked, and Sua noticed the girl blushing as she stared down at her beef stick, with merely less than a bite left.
“But are you seriously gonna just walk?”
“Yeah, what else am I supposed to do?” Seonwoo shrugged, “Yeah, sure!” he smiled, as the fan held their phone up to take a photo.
“You are seriously going to just walk home?”
“I can run, it’s not that bad,” Seonwoo answered, shrugging, “Wait! Retake that! I forgot my scarf!”
“Of course!” the fan exclaimed.
“Did you get a video of him eating my food?” the girl holding the small amount of the beef stick left asked the girl beside her, Sua assumed to be her friend.
Yuna sighed as she walked out the door. “Sua, you will take Seonwoo home, and not go to Haejun’s place, won’t you?”
Sua shivered, and turned to face Seonwoo’s manager, “Yeah, of course, I don’t even know where Haejun lives, anyway.”
“Good, well then, good-bye my ‘love-rival’!” Yuna smiled, coldly, and walked off to her vehicle.
“I’m not your lov-” Sua sighed, “I don’t want to date anyone right now,” she mumbled to herself, as she looked down at the white scarf that Yuna had handed to her. It kind of resembled dragon scales. Seonwoo’s hand grabbed it, as she continued to focus her attention on its fine details, and not how close she had realized she had gotten with Seonwoo after one phone call.
“Sua!” Seonwoo exclaimed, causing her attention to rise toward his eyes, “Are you alright?”
Her eyes jetted around to all the people whispering about them, Seonwoo looking back at her, as if expecting her to do something. She gulped, as her eyes met him again. No, it’s too early to be thinking anything of that sort, she thought to herself, Yuna is just putting crazy ideas in my head, her eyes scanned his face, noticing his defined jawline, and slanted eyes. His lips were ever-so-slightly parted, and his hair a little disheveled. His shirt collar was a little wide, so she could clearly see his tanned collar bone. It was kind-of tight-fitting to his figure, but she snapped her eyes back up to his, Stop looking at his body. You had seen his abs when they had taken off his shirt, this isn’t a big deal.
“Sua, you look a little red, do you need some water? Yuna hasn’t left yet, I’m sure she has som-” Seonwoo began.
“No!” Sua announced, “I’m fine, really!”
“You don’t look fine, Sua.”
He’s serious. Sua scanned his face again, his slightly slanted brows, as pink as they were, his hair falling over parts of his face. His eyes had taken on that moonlit glow again. She wished they could have left at sunset, so she could see their true beauty. What am I thinking!
“Hey, sorry folks, but we’re gonna have to get going now.” Seonwoo announced, before turning his attention back to Sua, “Do you want me to take you to your home?” he asked, rubbing my back. It was soothing.
“No, I’m good,” I responded, “It’s no big deal, after all.”
“No big deal? Sugar, you nearly had a panic attack, I need to make sure you’re okay!” he answered.
It was something I wanted to hear, so I let him take me home. I shouldn’t have though. He only wanted under my covers, under my clothes. As soon as we had gotten to my home, I showed him in, out of courtesy, but he immediately went searching for my bedroom. I hated that. I don’t want somebody who will just throw me out.” Sua mumbled, in response.
