A few weeks before when Min-Joon and Ji-Won were dealing with their problems and not attending the club meetings often. When Ji-Won and Min-Joon didn’t attend the meeting, everyone else would still join, the reason being that Ji-Won had given them their tasks to fulfill until she came back at the next meeting. So, they worked together increasing their funds and gigs.
Min-Soo was excited to come to the club meetings as Min-Joon had planned his lessons for him explaining to him what he had to improve on. He was excited to learn and improve himself so he could contribute to the club. He had to improve his self-confidence, and Min-Joon had tasked the three new girls to help him achieve that as his audience. Which Min-Soo was immensely thankful for…
The awkwardness between Seung-ho and Mi-Ra had gone unnoticed by everyone. They weren’t able to look each other in their faces as they both didn’t have the voice to talk about what had happened between them yesterday. They both sat with a large distance between them minding their own business. They both were however consumed by entirely different thoughts.
Mi-Ra was flustered not able to comprehend what she had witnessed yesterday at the university’s library. She was diligently studying for her finals in the library and when she went to grab a book from a bookshelf, she was frozen stiff. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing, she gasped and instantly covered her mouth not wanting to be discovered. She couldn’t help but blush at the sight of Seung-ho having s**. Various thoughts scrambled her mind, what was he doing? Why was he doing it at the library?
In deep thought, Mi-Ra clumsily knocked over some books over to Seung-ho’s aisle. Their expressions distorted as they heard a noise and the girl instantly stopped in the process and ran away wearing her clothes. Seung-ho who had been enjoying himself was pissed that someone had interrupted his precious time, he was ready to beat the hell out of them as he approached the next aisle and halted speechless.
Mi-Ra, why was she the one to discover him? Seung-ho couldn’t help but curse his bad luck. Why did it have to be someone he knew and who also knew Min-Joon? Clicking his tongue not knowing how to deal with the situation, he walked toward her and spoke, “Be sure to not let anyone know about this”.
Mi-Ra obediently nodded understanding the reason behind his request as it could damage his reputation if anyone knew about it.
“Tsk...didn’t even let me finish. At least you could have come after that”, Seung-ho muttered clicking his tongue and now he had to deal with it himself. How troublesome…
“I’m sorry”, replied Mi-Ra meekly thinking she had done something utterly wrong.
“It is what it is…and before I go let me repeat this, don’t you dare tell this to anyone, not even Min-Joon!”, Seung-ho said in a cold chilling voice before he turned and left the library.
Mi-Ra relaxed seeing him leave. This was a shock, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to forget about this, but this kind of scene wasn’t something that she wasn’t used to or was scared of since she had experienced it before. Though she wondered why someone would do it in the library, isn’t it quite a weird place?
Noticing his expression, it seemed like Seung-ho was keeping his lifestyle a secret from his best friend. On second thought, this isn’t something you should discuss with your best friend, right? Ignoring these thoughts, she decided to study again but unfortunately, even when she tried to study the look of Seung-ho’s face in pleasure resurfaced in her mind...
Mi-Ra blushed shaking her head to remove such a thought, she felt like a sinner thinking of these things. Did she like his face or something? The face when he was receiving pleasure. Why? This wasn’t the time for these thoughts, she had to focus on her exams.
A few seconds later…
A slap sound resounded within the library and hearing it the librarian was on the lookout to find who violated the rules. Mi-Ra winced in pain patting her throbbing cheek…yes, she just had slapped herself so that she could focus. It was a normal habit that had been influenced by her past.
Back at the comedy club, Seung-ho was amused at the girl, Mi-Ra, she was meek but somehow he trusted that she would keep what she saw a secret. Although they were graduating in a few weeks, it wasn’t a problem for him. He couldn’t help but chuckle seeing Mi-Ra's flustered expression when she glanced at him.
After the scene Mi-Ra had witnessed, her normal routine resumed with her studying except she would catch Seung-ho glancing at her at times, and he would casually beam a smile. She didn’t know what went in his mind, but she let it be until one day he came up to her and started to hold her hands.
Mi-Ra instantly trembled her memories resurfacing at Seung-ho’s actions. The memory of random hands touching all over her body made her feel disgusted and she casually nudged his hand off her hand. Though she expected Seung-ho to say something to her instead he walked away without making a sound. She didn’t know why lately he had been doing this, was it because of what she saw but remembering the innocent smile he would give her occasionally, that left her confused about his intentions?
She had noticed how different Seung-ho acted around Min-Joon and other people. Since she didn’t talk much, she was great at observing people’s actions, but she couldn’t figure out why Seung-ho did this, maybe he was only comfortable around Min-Joon and if that was the case…wasn’t he quite...cute?
Seung-ho who had walked away, stared at his hand that Mi-Ra had nudged away, he couldn’t help but grin In amusement. He didn’t know why it was so fun toying with her when they barely even talked. Maybe he just liked her touch and wanted to do it with her…that could be the reason. He had this habit of going to bars and doing it with girls to relieve the stress that he got from his father...he had to, or else he was going to burst in anger.
A few more days went by, and as one thing led to another, Mi-Ra and Seung-ho started secretly seeing each other. Mi-Ra’s heart raced when she held his hands around people or when they kissed secretly. It was quite exhilarating, but she went along with it as Seung-ho showed immense care for her.
Mi-Ra didn’t mind having their relationship secret as she was sure that Seung-ho probably had a good reason. But as time went by and their relationship got more serious, she wondered why he wouldn’t tell anyone. She confronted him many times but was met with no response. Now that Seung-ho would be graduating, she didn’t know if their relationship would last. She felt like she was having an affair going behind her friend’s back. Why couldn’t Seung-ho understand?
Even still Mi-Ra was always unknowingly persuaded by Seung-ho who avoided the topic of their relationship and making it official.
At times their situation hurt Mi-Ra, as Seung-ho hung around with many girls in the open without a care and they barely got to spend time with each other, especially now since finals were here. She didn’t know if their relationship would still last after his graduation, but a small hope lingered in her mind. But if Seung-ho was using her body then she would lose all hope in herself of ever getting an appropriate relationship that could make her happy.
Finals had ended and now each member of the club was free, but the club meetings had stopped. It was understandable since everyone was still recuperating from this hellish week, and nobody was going to take the time to come to the university. Everyone stayed locked in their house resting as they waited for the results to be released.
Especially, Ji-Won was tense waiting for the result since she had to pass to successfully acquire her degree. Even though Ji-Won and Min-Joon had continued to search for boxing gyms together she knew there was a possibility of her not being admitted to one after the results came out and then she had to start searching for an office job. She wasn’t going to let this happen, so she researched wholeheartedly and with Min-Joon supporting her she somehow felt at ease.
As her usual routine Ji-Won went to the convenience store at night for her shift. Arriving at the store she walked back to the counter and taking out the diary she started doing various exercises written on the diary. Ji-Won aimed to improve her boxing as she searched for boxing gyms since she couldn’t stop thinking about her last fight. Keeping that in mind Ji-Won started shadowboxing with immense concentration thinking of herself back in the ring with the trainee as the opponent. Even though that trainee had an arrogant personality, they were an excellent boxer.
