Warp gates, a mode of transportation that allows you to skip the hassle of travel and arrive to your destination with almost no issues.

Sadly while this mode of transportation does exist in this world the use requirements stopped us from enjoying this convenience.

In order for a person to use a warp gate their body most be accustomed to Edirem in other words they must posses an active core, and while me and my father meet this requirement my sister and mother don't.

This led to us having to catch a twelve hour flight to arrive at the holy capital.

Upon arrival in the now night city the first thing I noticed was the huge white cathedral that the city seemed to be center around.

Huge might've be an understatement since the cathedral was visible from the airplane window even when we were three hours out from landing and appeared to pierce the night sky.

Currently we were in a rental car that my father had reserved before hand heading to the accommodation that the holy capital offer to those that are attending the awakening ceremony.

After my initial conversation with Angela my mother and I have been keeping in contact with Angela and Amy, through them I was informed of a few specifics about the ceremony such as the time, place, and expectations but nothing to in detail.

'Vee can you tell me anything about what exactly will happen at this ceremony?'

'[Sadly you haven't gained access to this information yet.]'

It was strange I believed that if I had even a little knowledge of the topic then most of the information would become available to me but was that not the case for the awakening ceremony?

This just made me even more curious, since for Vee to still be censoring the information from me, it would have to be information on the level of world changing.

'Zinnias is there any problem with my Edirem circulation?'

'No, surprisingly you have became quite proficient at manipulating the Edirem throughout your body.'

Ever since my core has activated for the past few days I have been trying to get a feel for the way Edirem circulates through my body.

Suprsiningy it was quite easy for me to do this and along with this on the second day of my core activating Vee told me that the initial estimate of it taking 20 years before my body is able to handle my two cores has now dropped to 15 years.

Since two years has passed since then it means that in thirteen years my pseudo core and blessed core should be fully separated allowing me to more efficiently spellcast.

Currently my body can only handle two spells a day and I have to voice the properties I want the Edirem to take in order for the spells to manifest but while inefficient the possibilities are endless.

'Vee do you think the changes in my body have something to do with my blessed core ability?'

I thought at first that my body was maturing at a faster rate simply due to my blessed core being active, but I felt as if there was something more to it than just that.

'[I can't predict your ability since it something that shouldn't exist in this worlds, but based on your changes I would assume that it likely has to do with your ability.]'

'Well I guess we will find out soon.'

'[Indeed we will.]'

In a slightly exhausted voice probably due to a mixture of jet lag and lack of proper sleep my mother announced with an exhausted smile that we had arrived.

"Lue, Wake up your sister.."

I turned to look at my sister to see her drooling while also laughing in her sleep it made me hesitant to wake her from what seemed like a blissful dream.

Nonetheless I started to shake her as well as call out to her.

"Sis, we are here you need to wake up."

She slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times before smiling at me.

"Good morning."

I wanted to retort that it was way past morning, but I digressed.

"Yes, Good morning."

Once we moved in all our luggage into the hotel room we were staying we order room service since we were to tired to go out for food, and after taking a quick shower we each turned in for the evening since I would have to be at the orientation site at 11:00.

Morning arrived and after a quick breakfast at the hotel dinning area we were currently on our way to the where the ceremony would take place.

"Lue, me, your father, and sister will be staying in the area the whole time, so as soon as you are done we want you to contact us on this."

She handed me fathers phone, with the contact list open.

The whole morning my mother has been anxious maybe it was because she was leaving me somewhere by myself or because she was worried about my ability or maybe a combination of the both but I really wanted to relive her anxiety even if just a little.

"Honey I'm sure everything will be fine."

My father tried to calm her down but while she seemed to calm down on the outside I could still tell she was panicking.

"Mom, aren't you all going to be with me while I get my ability checked?"

The way the schedule was set up was: we go to a facility that runs the test to check and identify our ability, and then the child with the ability would attend the ceremony/orientation alone.

"Yes, we will be with you but we don't know if we will have time to talk after you get your ability checked so this might be the last chance to talk privately."

So that's why she gave me the phone now, well personally I'm not to worried since I have Zinnias and Vee that can help me out of most situations, but I can't just tell my mother that.

Luckily I could use another excuse.

"Mom really I'm pretty sure I'll be fine, I'm not that nervous since Amy has told me a little bit of what to expect so there shouldn't be anything too unexpected that happens."

"I know I'm still worried, it's a mothers privilege and duty to always worry about their children, this goes for both you and Bridgett."

She turned to me and gave me small smile, but beneath that smile I could see the dark circle around her eyes most likley from the lack of sleep the night before that served as proof on just how worried she truly is.

In the midst of this surpassingly sis was awake and she just had to give her two sense.

"Mom, Lue is smart so no matter what happens he will be fine."

Mother simply took what Bridgett said as her usual ramble but right before she fully turned around I could see that my sister comment left her with a genuine smile.
