Soon the day of the banquet came, Ophelia spent most of her days with her father these two weeks since their mother didn’t even let her sister breathe by constantly engaging her in activities like dress choosing,jewelry choosing,etc for the upcoming banquet.

“Are you busy?” A sweet voice asked as Aurelia entered Ophelia’s chambers.

Ophelia put down the book that she borrowed from her father’s study and looked at Aurelia,happy. Her sister looked as dazzling as she's always looked, the bright blue eyes went with the light blue pretty dress she was wearing. Her pure silk like white hair complimenting her sweet and kind persona

“I missed you!” Ophelia said as she stood up and hugged her sister. Aurelia chuckled, hugging back,”I missed you too”.

“Did mother finally let you breathe?” Ophelia asked,pulling away as she went towards one of the couches,expecting Aurelia to follow and sit down with her.

“Yes, and I bought something for you” Aurelia said as the maid behind her handed her a package wrapped with a pretty gift wrapper.

“I hope you’ll like it” Aurelia smiled as she handed the gift to her younger sister.

Ophelia opened the package,making sure not to tear the pretty gift wrapper.

“THAT’S SO PRETTY!’ Ophelia gasped as she looked at the very pretty light yellow dress with sweetheart neckline and frilled sleeves. It looked liked the yellow dress from beauty and the beast but modified,prettier and lighter coloured.

“I hope you’ll wear it to the banquet” Aurelia smiled after seeing her sister like her gift,

“Of course! Thank you so much!” Ophelia smiled back as she happily hugged her sister once again

The banquet was large and lavish. There were different kind of sweets and snacks. The guests slowly arrived and greeted the Agnes family.  All the three large duchies came except for one,that was the Ethel family,the northern duchy. But, they sent their congratulations through a messenger along with the apology of not being able to attend since their heir was sick. After announcing that Aurelia has inherited the family power, the guests and the Agnes family members went to socialize with each other. All except for Ophelia(Raina)  who is not accustomed to banquets. It was something she always read in books,getting to experience it first hand was a wonder for her.

“Are you the Agnes’s daughter who inherited the family powers? You look duller than they say” A male child voice said,making Ophelia turn towards the 10 year old boy.

‘He has black hair. Is he the villain?’ Instead of being offended,that was the first thought that crossed Ophelia’s mind as she looked at the black haired child who seemed to be the same age as her older sister.

“I asked you something. Why’re you staring at me?” The black haired boy asked slightly annoyed.

“No,that is my older sister Aurelia. I’m Ophelia Agnes,the younger one. You’re?” She replied.

“You don’t know me?” He asked,arrogantly ,annoying Ophelia.

“I’m Leo Fyr. Heir of the Western dukedom. Or do you not know what that even is?” He said,menacingly 

“No,I know what that is, Nice to meet you” Ophelia greeted,she tried to keep her temper inside her since he was the villain. And her assumptions as the villain being from the Fyr family were correct too. Or was it?

“Now if you’ll excuse me” With that Ophelia turned around and left,not wanting to talk with the villain.

“Hey wait! I wasn’t done talking with you!” Leo said as he followed Ophelia feeling irked at the fact that she dared to leave before he could dismiss her and end the conversation.

Upon hearing and seeing Leo follow her from the corner of her eyes,she increased her walking speed as she pretended to not hear or notice him.

“Hey! I know you can hear me! How dare you ignore the heir of Fyr!” Leo yelled,increasing his speed too,almost catching up to Ophelia.

Ophelia panicked as she increased her speed more, trying to lose him but it was in vain. As a last resort,Ophelia ran towards her father,tugging on his trouser to make him look at her. Trying to recreate a scene that Ophelia (Raina) has often read in web novels and manwha ‘the overprotective father scene where the father fends off boys trying to get his daughter’ to successfully lose and avoid the villain (Leo) 

“Dad, a boy is hitting on me” She said as she hid behind her father.

“Where’d you learn that sentence from?” Her father raised his eyebrows,amused that an 8 year old knows that sentence.

The duke turned his gaze from his daughter to the boy standing in front of him.
