After hanging out with the four, I have to head out for tutoring with Anderson. Yay me! Caitlin tags along, mentioning that she should catch up on her work as well. I decided to drop her off before going to Anderson’s.
I know, I shouldn't be late to the session, especially since he’s not in the best of moods, but a few minutes won’t hurt…right?
I hold Caitlin's hand in my pocket to keep them warm as we walk to her place. We share light banter here and there when Caitlin asks, “Are you going to Anderson’s just for tutoring? Don’t you think you should comfort him?”
I give the girl a very concerned look, “Me? Comfort him?” She rolls her eyes with a scoff. Where was she even going with that? I can’t imagine being nice to him let alone comforting him, that’s insanity!
“Right, I forgot you hate him,” she huffs with air quotes, “And I guess the only remedy for a breakup would be time.” I nod, I imagine there isn’t much you can do when getting over a breakup.
We arrive at her house moments later, and Caitlin turns to face me. “Here’s to hoping we don’t end in the same situation with this relationship,” she chuckles. I can feel my heart accelerate, there she does it again! Mentioning our relationship… this has to mean we are official –screw it, I’m asking!
“So it’s safe to assume we’re dating?” I mumble, I can feel the blood creeping up to my cheeks.
Caitlin smirks, “Was making out on your bed not enough–”
“ –No, I just…”
“I’m teasing you,” she hums when she places her head against my chest, “And I now realize I should’ve communicated that better,” she mutters.
I chuckle, running my fingers through her hair, “...It probably would’ve saved me from the internal battles.”
She looks up at me, still against my chest. “I’m sorry, I guess I got ahead of myself,” she mumbles.
I kiss her lips softly, “Quite ahead…but it’s alright now.” She flashes me a pretty smile, a smile that makes me kiss her again. After a few more kisses shared, she stops with a chuckle.
“Okay, loverboy. You should get going to Anderson’s,” she explains, still holding my hands.
“A few more minutes,” I hum, trailing down to her neck when she smacks my head.
“Not outside my house, you idiot,” she mutters, leaving my arms. She walks to her door and sends me a cheeky smile before heading inside.
Crap, my face aches with how much I’m smiling…
Suddenly, I snap back to reality. I quickly look at the time and see I'm…30 minutes late! Shit!

I knock on the door, absolutely winded from running. Man, I’m out of shape.
Moments later, Faye opens quite eagerly…I haven’t seen her in a while. “Oh, it’s you…” she grumbles. What did I do? I can’t have an angry Anderson and an angry Faye!
“What?” I manage to say, still trying to catch my breath.
“I just thought you were Leah….” Suddenly, she looks around and hovers close. “Say…do you know about the whole situation?”
I purse my lips, “Yeah, a bit. He told you?”
Faye shakes her head. “Of course not, Leah did. I'm assuming she also told you.” I nod, that makes more sense. Anderson seems like the type to bottle everything up.
“Anyway, you’re going up for tutoring, right? Can’t you ask how he’s holding up?” She mumbles.
“Why me?” I blurt. Seriously, does everyone think we’re best friends now?
“ ‘Cause you’re a guy, maybe it’s easier for him –and it’s worrying Ms. Rumine,” she clarifies. I squint my eyes, just Ms. Rumine, huh? It’s cute how much she’s pretending she’s not worried.
With a sigh, I tell her I’ll do it. I’ll just get it over with, no more nagging. She hums before going into the kitchen. Not even a “Thank you”? Whatever.
I trudge up to his room…Fuck, why did I say I’ll do it? It's none of my business! Damn it, Kian!
I knock on the door, holding my breath for some reason. I hear shuffling on the other side, so I lean closer to the door to listen in when it abruptly opens.
If looks could kill, I’d be six feet under.
“Uh, I know I’m a bit late but–” I look over to see everything set for the tutoring. Shit, why do I feel bad? No-no, this is Anderson we are talking about. I couldn't care less about his time!
“But?” He snarls.
“I was with Caitlin, and I lost track of time.” Wait, should I have mentioned her? I don’t want it to seem like I’m rubbing my relationship in his face –He doesn’t even know I know! I'm screwed!
He rolls his eyes and grabs a seat at the table, I slowly follow behind. I’ll let him cool down for a bit, and have him tutor me before I ask how he's doing….No, I’m not stalling!

I'm a bit curious to hear what Anderson has to say. So after some time, I finally got the balls to just ask.
I purse my lips, fiddling with the pencil in my hand. “Uh, so Leah told me what happened–” I stop mid-sentence when I notice his expression drop. His “You’re dead” glare is back.
“What did she say,” he snaps.
“Well, it’s just–” He gets up from his seat before I can explain, and grabs my collar.
“What the fuck did she say?” He threatens, pushing me against the table.
“She just said you guys broke up, what’s your problem?” I scowl. I've never seen Anderson so angry. Usually, he's pissed when we fight, but never angry…
He stares at me, his fist still holding my collar. After he curses under his breath, he pushes me away and goes back to his seat like nothing happened. And I watch him, absolutely dumbfounded.
What the fuck just happened? There was about to be a crime scene just a few moments ago, and over what? Me knowing they broke up? But seeing his reaction, I feel like there is much more to this situation. I should’ve just kept my mouth shut. Curiosity did kill the cat after all.
With a huff, I grab my stuff and leave. I heard Faye shout from behind, but I chose to ignore her. This is none of my business, and I don’t want to be roped in the middle of this shitshow…
