Temporary 'Grey Army Base', Blighfall, Dellone, Under Realm
Vixen sat in the small bedroom, ongoing day two of refusing to speak to anyone, soldier or so called 'father'.
He hated Frank.
He wanted the man dead for everything he's done.
For the curse, for abandoning him, for hurting his friends with the GACTC and their curses, for actually telling him the truth of who he was- if he could go back in time, he would stop the Light Spirit from cursing him, he would make sure he'd grow up knowing his father wasn't worth the trouble knowing, he would make sure he ignored the words of any of the staff at the GACTC, make sure that swan dive off of the bridge was the only harsh violent thing he ever did, he would undo it all.
And how impossible it was now.
How wrong it was to ever think of going back in time as a possible and fair option.
No one would ever forgive him for what he's done... they would just tell him how alike him and Frank were.
No one would ever forgive him and he will never forgive Frank.
And talking about sorry excuse of a father, Frank had opened the iron door of the bedroom and looked down at his son who sat motionless and silent on the bed "Are you ready to talk to me again?" the man questioned yet Vixen ignored him.
He wanted nothing to do with him.
"You can sit there and continue to sulk, or we can get the joining ceremony underway, either way, you are leaving this room today" Frank warned, Vixen still ignored him and that was just enough to anger the man. Frank grabbed Vixen by the arm and pulled him up onto his feet, once on his feet, dragged him out of the room and down the corridor "The fuck are you doing- let me go!" Vixen snapped, trying to rip himself out of his father's grasp which only tightened with every attempt. "You are going to learn the hard way of being a Grey" Frank stated "Why we never make friends or get attached to anyone- you are going to lose whatever you have left with your two friends and you are going to learn what it's like to be a Grey" the man harshly hissed as the boy's eyes widened, recalling the exact root the soldiers had lead him on two days ago.
He knew exactly where they are going.
Vixen tried to break free of his father's grasp more and more, even if he had to tare his own arm off in order to escape the horrid situation Frank was about to throw him into.
Corridors and wards of the old hospital passed before the Grey Leader unlocked the door of the room holding the other two boys.
Both Sean and Corey lifted their heads at the sight of the man as Frank pushed Vixen into the room, stepping inside himself and locking the door behind them. Frank re-grabbed Vixen, this time by the back of the throat, and kept him faced towards the two chained boys, Corey immediately scrambling up onto his feet "Let go of him" he hissed, eyes glowing green as Frank growled back at him "He's the one you've been calling 'brother', isn't he?" the man harshly questioned Vixen. The boy kept his eyes closed, wincing in pain as Frank gripped his neck "ANSWER ME!" "Y-yes" the word was ripped from Vixen's lips as Corey yanked harshly on his chains, the want to get his friend out of the man's grasp growing by the second. Frank laughed, mocking the bond between the two boys "Brothers by curse, how funny it is to see it in person" the man laughed as Corey froze just as Vixen's eyes opened and immediately snapped over to Corey, their gazes meeting in familiar brotherly bond.
Deepest and kindest regards,
Cursed brothers at heart and soul,
The horrid realisation clicking in Corey's head.
His expression towards Vixen: from worry, to pure shock, to absolute distrust and anger.
"My, how quickly flesh and blood can turn on you, isn't that right, son?" Frank questioned Vixen, Sean and Corey's faces filling with both fear and anger "You're the fucking Grey Leader's son?!" Sean was the first to snap as Vixen flinched, closing his eyes tightly "You fucking traitor!" the older teen continued. "Come on, Garrison, let your so called 'brother' know what you think of him now that you know who he really is" Frank pushed, smirk drawn across his face yet Corey didn't speak, hearing no answer come from the other boy was all enough for Vixen to know just how mad he was with him.
When Corey's silent, he's more than angry, beyond mad.
It was enough to convince him to keep his eyes closed because he knew that once he saw Corey, he was going to just shatter on the spot.
"This is what happens when they learn whose kid you are" Frank harshly stated into Vixen's ear "When they learn who you really are" he continued "The setting realisation of what exactly you done and much of a shit person you really are" the man smirked as Sean quickly caught onto what Frank was now doing "This is what happens when you fuck up". "You didn't know who you were" Sean told Vixen, gaining a confused look from Frank "He betrayed you all just to meet me" "And? anyone in their right mind would do anything to meet their parents" the oldest teen snapped back at Frank before turning his attention back to Vixen "Yeah, we don't fucking like you right now, but I understand why you did it" he told the other boy. Frank snickered, leaning back into his son's ear "Who are you going to believe? the people who hate you or the last person in this room who loves you?" he questioned.
Silence fell upon the room for a solid minute before someone spoke "...why?" and it came from Corey.
Vixen opened his eyes, looking over at Corey whose gaze was nailed to the floor "Ever since the GACTC, you've been by my side, so why?" Corey questioned "Why me?" "Because... you were destined to kill me" Vixen answered, Corey lifted his head and looked up at the other boy, the glow in his eyes indicating his anger whilst Vixen's was filled with old brotherly-like love. "And I care for you like a brother- I couldn't kill you, even if I wanted to... I wanted to keep you safe and loved-" "So betraying all of us was solution?!" Corey harshly questioned as Vixen flinched again "No one in their right fucking mind would do that, not even for that fuckwit" the boy hissed. "Corey-" "Shut it, McLoughlin" Corey cut off Sean, ignoring the older teen's looks of worry as he glared at Vixen "You fucked up so much more than you think you have" Corey continued "Corey-" "You are not my fucking brother or friend" he hissed, shutting down Sean again.
Frank let go of the boy who stood motionless, Vixen's eyes seemed to darken in some way as his gaze drifted off of both boys and to the ground "Vixen, please- he didn't mean it" Sean tried to reach him yet it was too late, nothing was getting through to Vixen... only his father's voice.
Frank unlocked and opened the door "Son, head back to your room" he ordered and slowly, Vixen did as told and it wasn't until Corey saw Frank's pridefully dark smirk did he realise what he had tricked him into doing.
The one and only person who mattered to Vixen was Corey, and now that Corey had broken that bond, Vixen was now officially his father's own broken puppet.
Corey went to run after him yet the chains yanked him back onto the ground whilst Frank stepped out of the room with his son, closing and relocking the room's door.
How could he?
How could he not see the fact that he was his last thread to the 'good side'?
How could he let himself fall for a horrid man's trap? one to finally make his son a puppet.
Corey had just doomed the world with seven simple words.
'You are not my brother or friend'.
