I walk across the snowy hills
My mind wondering away
On thoughts of dreams and songs and feels
I haven’t felt in forever and a day
I watch the snow falling
On the grass, whitening it
Like a dress for the earth’s wedding
With the sky who covers it
In presents white and blue
From its greying smiling face
Its colours a prism’s hues
Its texture soft like grace
I touch one of the flying gifts
But it melts into a tear
The earth has refused the presents
Of the sky yet another year
