Read Rapiers, Claymores, and Rat People :: Small Town pt 3

Both of the mysterious lads gone, we are just as baffled by the sight of the flaming village as we were before. Now more focused I begin to recognize some corpses. The nice old librarian who always offered me tea, her arm missing and her granddaughter, Ash, devastated. Ash's face turns from grief, to anger, to disgust as they take out their wand and avenge her grandma. I want to help but I don't know how.

Suddenly, I spot two figures out of the corner of my eye. Tony Cod wrestling the Large/Little man. I run over as Oliver skillfully impales gang members. When they come into view the flower crown man is slammed into the floor by Cod, knocking him out cold. The flower crown man reverts into his smaller size in his unfittingly large impact crater. Tony laughs. "That all you got max?" Max groats in pain. "Ha! Pretty weak for a demigod!" Tony chuckles.

"N-no..." Max tries to get up but is slammed back into the ground by Tony, Max's flower crown slowly drifts down beside him. I creep up, remember that one thing about bravery being cool and stuff that Oliver said, and;

My rapier fully impales Tony. Before he can even react, he is already dead. The rest of his gang look over at the bloody corpse of their leader and flee.

I feel pretty cool.
