Silverclaw woke up to cats talking oh, its just the dawn patrol he tough  to himself, getting up and leaving the den ''Oh hey Silverclaw'' it was Nightpelt who said that. ''Hey Nightpelt, could i mabye join the patrol? i have nothing better to do anyways'' asked Silverclaw, just desperate to find something to do ''yeah, sure'' said nightpelt, signaling him to come with them ''we're going now anyways'' he added, the patrol consisted of 5 cats, Nightpelt, who was the head of the patrol, Silverclaw,Mudpaw,Moonshine and Rosetuft. The patrol set off, heading for the Frostclan border. They kept walking until mudpaw stopped ''i scent a squirrel'' he whispered and dissapeared into the bushes, re-emerging a few moments later with a squirrel dangling in his jaws ''i'll pick this up later'' he said, burying it and padding back over to the group, they continued walking. Suddenly Rosetuft Stopped and yowled to the group: ''Stop! We crossed the border!'' the group froze and looked around, indeed, they had crossed the border, but there was no scent marker. Moonshine went over to where the border was supposedo be and sniffed at it ''Its very stale, as if it hasn't been renewed for many sunrises'' she meowed to the group ''mabye we should tell Stonestar?'' suggested Nightpelt, also sniffing the scent markers. The group agreed, they finished the patrol and headed back to camp to tell stonestar ''you guys go ahead, i need to get the squirrel'' said mudpaw and padded over to the bushes. The group just continued walking. They finally made it back to camp and Nightpelt went over to the leaders den, emerging a bit later and going over to thornclaw, whispering something in his ear. Thornclaw just nodded and called cats together for a patrol ''Nightpelt, could you lead a patrol into Frostclan territory?'' he asked Nightpelt, nightpelt just nodded confidently ''very well then, Shortear,Silverclaw,Dustpetal and Hareleap shall come with you'' Nightpelt gathered all the cats and left camp. After a while they made it back to the border but this  time just crossed it without thinking at all about it. After walking for a bit they scented something, Hareleap was the first to yowl: ''Foxes!''
