Chapter 1, Part 2: The Hour After

(*BOOM* He hits the floor! Sitting up as he wakes up quickly.)

Aiden: “GAH! Ow. My @$$.”

(He looks around the floor to see some sheets from his cot and some items that were on the floor with him when he was asleep.)

Aiden: (As he looks up,) “What is this? Where am I?” 

(He sees a modestly long hallway lined with yellow wallpaper, and feels the floor underneath him, And hears a constant buzzing hum of the lights above.)

*bummzz~~*

Aiden: “ewh, wet carpet, guess that's what I was smelling. Wait, how am I even here?, I was in bed just a second ago.”

 (He looks up and sees that there is no hole where he came from.)

Aiden: “Well that's strange. I would ask somebody too or pinch myself to see if I'm asleep, but my back hurts like h#ll and I don't see nor hear anyone nearby. So I'd say I'm awake but very confused.”

(He looks around again and sees multiple Turns down the hallway and an open doorway at the end of the hall.)

(He stands up rubbing his bútt and his lower back and stares there blankly trying to contemplate what's happening and tries to stay calm.)

(Until a memory from a few years ago hits him suddenly.)

Aiden: “wait!, mmh… yellow wallpaper, damp carpet, many walls, and empty doorways. I remember hearing something like this on the news! Some guy that went missing but was found a few months later talked about this, but because he was extremely hungry and scraggly people just thought that he was going insane. He did say the names of some people that were soon found out to also went missing but police dismissed this as it all sounded crazy, an endless building with no beginning nor end with the ones he talked to having no idea on how they ended up there or him on how he was able to get out if this was true.” *haa!* (He chuckles,) “How would anyone believe that?”
